Randbats Spotlight Tournament
Welcome to the fourteenth bimonthly Spotlight Tour! This iteration will feature the recently elected Partners in Crime Random Battle (6 Moves) format. This tournament is your chance to showcase your skills in Partners in Crime Random Battle (6 Moves) in a single elimination best-of-3 series.
What is Partners in Crime Random Battle (6 Moves)?
Partners in Crime is a doubles-based metagame with the twist that you share your ability and moves with your active partner. This means that you are able to use any of the moves available to both of your active Pokemon, i.e. up to 12 moves will appear on the move select screen. Additionally, this means both of your active Pokemon will have each other's ability in addition to their own.
Prizes
The winner of the Spotlight Tournament will receive the Room Prize Winner rank in the Random Battles room for a month and the possibility to pick a format for the next Randbats Spotlight poll!
How does the tour work?
It’s simple:
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format “Partners in Crime Random Battle (6 Moves)”. This format can be found under 'Randomized Format Spotlight', at the top of the third column. Alternatively, use /challenge Partners in Crime Random Battle (6 Moves).
3. The first player to 2 wins advances to the next round.
Note that this tournament will end before the next Randbats Spotlight Ladder commences, i.e., before July 2025. This will determine the pace of the tournament.
Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post replays of your wins.
We strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the Smogon Tournament Rules and General Guidelines, if you haven’t already. If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact the tour hosts, Celever, 35Q71N, adorluigi and meamPearl here on Smogon.
How do I sign up?
Just post “in”!
Disclaimer: it's possible that if the current signups slightly exceed the number required to have a perfect bracket and we are not far from the deadline, the players in excess will become subs. We strongly advise to post your signup quickly if you are interested to play in this tournament.
When is the deadline?
The deadline is set on Sunday 11th at 11:59 GMT 0
