If you wonder what the card game is: Its a game thats called "Knack" here and yes, its related to being lucky like most games (but I don't think its related to gambling)
How it basically works:
You play with 32 cards. Every player gets 3 cards at the start of the game. Additionally there are 3 cards in the middle.
When it is your turn, you have the option to switch one card from your hand with one card that is in the middle. You can also pass which causes the game to end next time it would be your turn. The third option is to switch your entire hand with the 3 cards in the middle. This will also cause the game to end next time it would be your turn.
The goal is to have the most points and the end. 7 gives 7 points, 8 gives 8 points and the same applies to 9 and 10. J,D,K also give 10 points. A gives 11 points. There are also 4 categories. To add up the points you need to have those 2 or 3 cards to have the same category. For example: Bell 10 and Bell D would add up to 20 points. Heart 10 and Bell D would NOT add up to 20 points.
If you get 3 cards with same number/letter, it will count as 30.5 points. A example for this would be: Bell 7, Heart 7 and Leaf 7.
Now there are hands that will lead to an instant win and end of the game and must be announced instantly. One possibility for this to happen is when a player gets a hand that gives 31 points. These hands always require a A and we called it "Knack". Another specific hand that causes this special event is when a player has 3 A in their hand. We always called it the "Schnauzer" and it would add up to 33 points which is the highest possible score.
Every player has 5 lifes and at the end of every game, the player with the lowest score loses 1 life. The winner is the last player with atleast 1 life.
This game might have a diffrent name which Im not aware of or other rules somewhere else so I can only say how I know this game.
It also always was a lot of fun to play!
Also sorry for the wall of text here ;-;
