Seeding was done with ELO being the main factor as in previous editions.

Tournament rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The 2025 National Dex Circuit information can be found here.
  • Best of three, single elimination.
  • This tournament will use the standard National Dex ban list, which can be found here.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown! or the SmogTours server
  • SV cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • A list of National Dex specific mechanics can be found here.

YouanMingxue vs Isza
Ado vs xieeee

YouanMingxue (30) vs (70) Isza
Isza is likely the strongest prepper in natdex and has been for many years, youan is fairly new and has been having an amazing tour with some great brings but I feel Isza will likely win this one in the builder and is more versatile is what they can load.

Ado (45) vs (55) xieeee
Similar to the last one but also different in several regards, Ado is without a doubt the better overall player and more experienced with competitive mons as a whole however xieeee has 1000s of natdex games and might be able to win off knowledge checks specific to NDOU. In a very high variance tier such as sv natdex I'd have to give the slight edge to the long time mainer here especially if they branch out from their usual comps and bring some of the many strong but unorthodox wincons that can slide past a normal skilled players building process.
