Quality Control Defensive Corviknight [QC 0/2]

Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 SpD
Impish Nature
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird/Iron Defense
- U-turn
- Body Press
- Roost

Corviknight is a valuable defensive pivot for many teams, thanks to its great defensive typing and natural bulk. Corvniknight can use with Body Press to threaten damage on using its stronger defenses stat, which can be boosted by Iron Defense. Iron Defense allows Corviknight to better take hits from powerful physical attackers like Zamazenta and Dragonite. Corviknight also uses U-Turn to pivot into powerup attackers. Corviknight almost always uses to Roost, which increases its longevity. The first set of EV spread is designed to allow Corviknight to take a Close Combat from Mega Lopunny after Stealth Rocks, while the other EV spread allows Corviknight to better check special attackers like Tapu Lele.

Corviknight is most common on balance and stall teams. These teams allow defensive Pokemon to cover Corviknight’s bad matchups. Corviknight struggles with Fire-types such as Mega Charizard-Y and Volcarona, which Water-types like Toxapex and Assault Vest Alomomola are able to check. And in return Corviknight can check the Ground-types and Grass-types that Toxapex and Alomomola respectively struggle with. Corviknight also struggles with powerful Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Raging Bolt. This makes Ground Types that can take their attacks, like Ting Lu and Gliscor, valuable partners. In return Corviknight can take the Grass-type and Ice-type attacks the aforementioned Pokemon dislike. Possibly addition to the powerful breakers, like Zamazenta and Tapu Lele, enjoy having Corviknight on their team, as it can safely bring get them on field with U-Turn. Specially Defensive walls, such as Blissey or Clodsire, greatly value Corviknight on slower paced teams, as it can take physical hits from well, and even occasionally act as a win condition with Iron Defense and Body Press.

Ready for QC

For who ever does QC, can I have you input on changing the set to Body Press/Defog or Body Press/U-Turn? Defog feels like an important part of Corviknight’s toolkit especially on stall that should be mentioned and be in the set.

yeah fog should be in the set after discussion

Corviknight is a valuable defensive pivot for many teams, thanks to its great defensive typing and natural bulk what does that let it answer. I think there should prob be a cursory mention of why brave bird is stab of choice and what its calcs achieve Corvniknight can use with Body Press to threaten damage on using its stronger defenses stat, which can be boosted by Iron Defense this doesnt really make sense, body press mention should be later on in the paragraph . Iron Defense allows Corviknight to better take hits from powerful physical attackers like Zamazenta and Dragonite. Corviknight also uses U-Turn to pivot into powerup attackers i think this is oversimplified; id talk about pivoting out against mons like ferro and stuff. body press mention should be here, what you had was right, just make sure it makes sense, follow with fog mention afterwards Corviknight almost always uses to Roost, which increases its longevity, letting it better check foes such as Tapu Lele over the course of a game. The first set of EV spread is designed to allow Corviknight to take a two Close Combats from Mega Lopunny after Stealth Rocks, while the other EV spread allows Corviknight to better check special attackers like Tapu Lele.

Possibly addition to the powerful breakers this doesnt make sense, try and rephrase it, like Zamazenta and Tapu Lele, enjoy having Corviknight on their team, as it can safely bring get them on field with U-Turn corv also provides a fairy and steel switchin for them respectively. Specially Defensive walls, such as Blissey or Clodsire, greatly value Corviknight on slower paced teams, as it can take physical hits from well, and even occasionally act as a win condition with Iron Defense and Body Press. idt this is a specifiacally relevant point, just add a new sentence about bliss and clod walling various things for corv.
at some point in the para you should mention corv being a fairy / psych resist and teammates who appreciate that.
