bored so take my half-asleep first impressions wheee
Solid bulk and offensive stats by blank canvas standards, incredible typing, and a stupid array of options: Spin, Stone Axe, Volt Switch, Power Whip or Ice Fang for Grounds. The literal only downside is that its STABs are either weak or on the wrong stat, and even then, Supercell Slam has a lot less downside when you have REGEN TOO. I think this is by far the best mon here, and if the power level keeps up with it, I can only see one other mon from this slate (Turvarpega) staying strong long-term.
From strongest mon to weakest mon, this is the only one that I'd say looks bad off rip. It has good stats and a decent movepool, with TSpikes, Calm Mind, and U-Turn, but that typing and the lack of reliable recovery really let it down, you don't even resist Ground as a bulky Grass. The only thing that does stand out here is Wish + a slow U-Turn, but I feel like trying to play into that with this mon is just a drain on momentum. Somebody prove me wrong though I want to see this cutie do work.
Cool slate 1 generalist that continues the bulky Ground tradition of being able to do a billion different things depending on what your team needs. Roost is notable since this is our only mon with reliable recovery so far, but beyond that, you have no-downside Brave Birds and Flare Blitzes, Spikes, Bulk Up, and critically, Knock Off, letting you at least annoy Lyvamp, though you can't really kill it without teching Rock Slide and can potentially be sniped with Ice Fang. One of the good ones this slate for sure.
Probably the weirdest mon here for me. Dedicated Scarfer by the looks of things, with solid special attack but really poor bulk, not helped by a mediocre typing. That said, Psychic/Fighting/Electric coverage isn't bad necessarily, Trick and Volt Switch both play into this well, and we do have slow pivots to bring it in safely. I think, more than any other mon this slate, this one's viability will be very dependent on how later slates shape its matchup spread.
Simple cool fatmon that can come in and Defog a few times in a game. 90 Atk Gigaton is scary, slow Volt is pretty strong to bring out some of the other mons here, Toxic annoys Turvarpega on the switchin, Lunar Blessing is a good way to give this some form of recovery without instantly breaking the mon in half with it. Solid all-around, not much to say here besides that it could get folded by later Steels if we're not careful.
My team whee! It's strong, for now at least. The typing and bulk let you bring it in a few times, and Tech Shadow Sneak helps carve out a niche long-term. The real draw to this mon right now, though, is Triple Axel, nailing the two most dominant mons in the meta, and only being resisted by Liftaton, which folds to Bulldoze. That said, besides TAxel, Woolverine is strong competition for a similar niche while having more options, and we'll inevitably get far more targeted Lyvamp and Turvarpega checks in future slates (surely right?), so long-term, I think this mon falls off quite a bit.Also pre-veto version looks fine next to some of these don't @ me.

I think Sucker is important to offset this mon's poor speed tier, and other than that, it's kinda strapped for slots - you have to pick between Ice Punch for the broken flyers, HHP for Steels, Play Rough for strong neutral coverage with Sucker, or PShot and Rocks as just good buttons. I don't think this mon can ever be bad, but how good it will be depends on how well it can tailor its set to the current meta.
