Pet Mod Blank Canvas

After this first roomtour, we now have some Balance Changes!

Buffs:
Odonata: +Flying (replaces Bug), Air Slash, Drill Peck, Quick Attack, Raging Bull -U-Turn +Aerilate (replaces Infiltrator)
Odonata needed to differenciate itself from Hebicikuga, as Hebi outclassed it in about every way, so we changed its type to Flying/Dragon, and also gave it Aerilate so it gets balanced Flying STAB, as something like Brave Bird w Tough Claws could be too strong. This change should give it a unique role in the metagame as a sweeper, since U-Turn was removed in case it may compete with Deadward.

Sylravage: +Grass (replaces Poison), Grassy Glide, Energy Ball, Leaf Blade
Since the start of the metagame, Sylravage has been a fairly mediocre mon in the metagame due to its lacking type and stats compared to other options in the metagame, this buff searches to give it an unique role in the metagame, since its Poison-type has now been replaced with the Grass-type, which should combine way better with Grassy Surge, as well as Grassy Glide to take advantage of said Grassy Surge.

Plasmage: +Esper Wing
Plasmage has also been an unremarkable mon through the metagame, but we belive Esper Wing may fix its problems, since its now able to boost its SpAtk with Electro Shot, and then fix its main issue of speed with Esper Wing, which due to the SpAtk boost, as well as STAB should be dealing respectable damage.

Dastard: +30 Def, +20 HP, Spd, +Flamethrower, Fire Blast
Due to its unremarkable stats and lack of good coverage, Dastard hasn't seen much play, with this buff it now has respectable defenses before using No Retreat, as well as a decent Spd stat. Burning Jealousy used to be its best coverage option, which was kinda bad, so it's been upgraded to Flamethrower and Fire Blast.

Borealis: +41 Spd, +10 SpAtk
Due to its low speed, really low SpAtk before any sort of boosting, and reliance on boots, Borealis hasn't been very good on the metagame, with this buff, Borealis becomes the fastest mon in the metagame, and gains a respectable 100spatk before boosts.

Iron Crest: +Calm Mind
Iron Crest didn't see any play on our last roomtour, this may be due to a lack of stats, or not being there a reason to bring it over other Flying- or Fighting-types, now it may have a unique niche as a Booster Energy sweeper, boosting its speed, then boosting up its SpAtk w Calm Mind, and then sweeping.

Nerfs:
Flarenheit: -Moxie
Moxie allows Flarenheit to become an extremely strong late-game sweeper due to it also has one of the best offensive types and is one of the fastest mons in the metagame, because of that, Moxie has to go.

Actaniathan: -Scald, -10 Def,-5 SpDef
Actaniathan has had a hold on the metagame for a while due to how specially bulky it is, and that physical attackers dont want to switch into it often due to fear of a Scald burn, so we've reduced its defenses a bit, as well as removed Scald from its movepool.

Porcupyre: -Sacred Fire, +Blaze Kick, Heat Crash
Sacred Fire, as well as its Fire-resistant typing, allowed Porcupyre to scare off about every physical attacker that wasnt inmune to status, while also heavily chipping down any special attacker trying to switch in, so it's been removed from it, as it allowed it to make progress too easily. Both Blaze Kick and Heat Crash were added so it isnt stuck with Temper Flare as its only physical Fire STAB.

Lundicare: -Protosynthesis, Growth
Lundicare was known to be broken even before the roomtour. Its access to Growth as well as Moongeist Beam made it way too easy for it to spam its STAB Blood Moon, though on the roomtour it was discovered that Protosynthesis was part of the problem too, as it allowed it to go over speed tier it wasn't meant to and outspeed most of the metagame, that combined with the power of its Blood Moon, or Growth-boosted Blood Moon, forced the opponent to give up many of their mons before Lundicare fell.

Bazhigangquan: -9 Atk, -10 Def
Bazhi may be a bit too strong and bulky for the metagame to handle, as its STAB and Technician-boosted Mach Punch and Bullet Punch eat through unprepared offensive teams, so we nerfed its Atk and Def a bit.

Remember that our next roomtour should be on Tuesday 9pm GMT-4!

After our second roomtour, we've got our next set of Balance Changes ready!

Buffs:
Serpvoltidae: +15 SpAtk +Natural Cure

Gains a better Shed Skin with Natural Cure, letting it be a better status absorber, which lets it stand out from Haarstorm, while the SpAtk buff lets it use Thunderclap more effectively, so it becomes less passive, it also lets it take on meta threats like Borealis, Sorrowcean, and Seaode.

Geoporka: +Poison (replaces Normal), +Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, +5 Def
Geoporka struggles a lot against the current meta, with many Fighting- and Bug-types that have a good matchup against it, as well as U-Turn spam heavily chunking it down. With the Poison-type replacing the Normal-type, it is now resistant to Fighting, as well as neutral to Bug, giving it better matchups against mons like Bahzigangquan, Scarachnid, Leechmonner and Obaki. The small Def buff is for it to be able to use its type more physically defensively, since its got good matchup against many of our physically offensive threats.

Nerfs:
Dastard: -20 HP

After the bulk buff, it ended up too bulky to kill after a No Retreat boost, this HP nerf should make it easier to take on.

Plasmage: -Esper Wing
With Esper Wing, Plasmage became broken in rain teams, letting it boost its special attack with Electro Shot while on rain, and boost its speed with Esper Wing right after rain stopped, so we've reverted the Esper Wing buff since we now belive that with rain on the meta, it'll rise as its premier sweeper.

Y'all can discuss these balance changes on the discord! We may also be preparing something soon!

Emergency Nerf!
Geoporka: -15 Def, -15 SpDef
After the Poison-type being added to it, we realized that Geoporka became a bit too hard to deal with, as due to Thick Fat, its only weaknesess were Flying and Psychic, both of which don't have anything that switches comfortably into its Toxic and/or Strength Sap. This nerf searches to punish it more for clicking Toxic or Strength Sap into its opponents, as it is now less bulky, so it now clicks Toxic and Strength Sap less safely.

Hello everyone!
After the Meta B kickoff tournament, we've got some new balance changes!
Nerfs:
Geoporka:
-Leech Seed

Leech Seed + Strength Sap + Toxic dealt an obsene amount of chip damage, while also healing an enormous amount each turn, so we've removed one of the moves that made this strategy work.

Seaode:
-5 Atk, -15 Spe

Due to its high speed, as well as being an amazing user of Choice Scarf, it basically monopolized all the scarf usage of it onto itself, as nothing in the meta was able to be so fast and match its damage output with STAB Wave Crash, so we've dropped its speed a lot, while also making its Wave Crash slightly weaker.

Borealis:
-25 HP, -5 SpAtk

Was proven on the tournament to be way too bulky with its current speed stat, and we also belive that after boosting, its a slight bit too strong, so we've heavily nerfed its HP, and chipped a bit of its SpAtk.

Bazhigangquan:
-Recover

Way too physically bulky, and after some Bulk Up boosts it can even take on superefective attacks, all thanks to Recover providing it with lots of longevity. This nerf searches to remove that longevity that makes Bazhi unnecesarily hard to kill, while also keeping its sweeping capabilities with Bulk Up.

Psyllapse:
-Perish Song

Prankster Perish Song is a very unhealthy tool in stall, and makes most offensive matchups into stall unbearable, as it basically provides a free way to end a sweep, with little cost; Psyllapse being heavily damaged, or killed, but the sweeper will be stopped on its tracks.

Buffs:
Cottentration:
+20 Spe, +Calm Mind

Sun saw no usage on the tournament, and so did Cotten, before sun its quite slow, and it isnt as strong as it would like to be on it, unlike most rain sweepers like Seaode, or Plasmage, so we've buffed its speed, and due to its decent SpDef, it can get a Calm Mind up to have an easier time sweeping.

Sorrowcean:
+10 SpAtk, Def

Saw almost no usage on the tournament, so we've decided to give it a minor buff to its SpAtk, so its Illusion sets are more viable, and so Flare Boost sets hit harder, and a Def boost so it isnt so physically frail.

Devestial:
+Stomping Tantrum, Extrasensory, Psybeam, Stomp, Recycle, Bulldoze, Sand Tomb, Draining Kiss, Rock Tomb, Stealth Rock, Gravity, Trick Room

Extra flavor moves added, as well as some new toys for it, Recycle lets it activate Stuff Cheeks again, Stealth Rock gives it some utility it didnt have before, but the best move it got is Draining Kiss, letting it compress both the healing of Moonlight and Fairy STAB of Moonblast in one move, while it is worse than both moves at those respective roles, compressing both into one may give it access to new options it didnt have before, if it chooses to run it.

Obaki:
+Revelation Dance, Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Confuse Ray, Reflect, Curse

More flavor moves, with some small buffs, Revelation Dance lets it bypass Bulletproof from Porcupyre, and Psychic coverage gives it a way to break through stall mons like Geigeramp and Geoporka.

Iron Crest:
+10 SpA, +Victory Dance

The special attack boost makes its SpAtk not that bad, but Victory Dance now allows it to go mixed, giving it an unique role in the metagame.

Tryonite:
+10 Def, 10 SpA, +20 Spe
Rock -> Ground (+High Horsepower, Earth Power)

As said in the Cottentration buff, sun wasn't used in the tournament, and that may be due to how lackluster its setter is, Bug/Rock is a really bad defensive type, its also got lacking defenses, and offenses, so its type was changed to the better Bug/Ground, and both its defenses and offenses were improved.

Groundead:
+Swords Dance, Shadow Sneak, Rapid Spin

Groundead saw little usage in the tournament, and with competition as both an offensive ground, a defensive ground, an offensive ghost, and a defensive ghost, its outclassed in most ways. Now its one of the few mons with access to Rapid Spin, and Swords Dance, letting it boost its speed and attack to later in the game deal big amounts of damage with both its STABs, while Rapid Spin works as utility defensively too, and Shadow Sneak lets it still make use of its +2 attack even with no speed boosts.

Leechmonner:
+Water Veil

Not a buff tbh, but it gets a similar treatment to the Meta A weather setters, in that it gets another ability in case it doesn't want to set up the weather for its team, or its detrimental for it.

Rework:
Bellolysk:
-Steel Beam, -Dragon Energy,
+5 Atk, +20 SpA,
+Make It Rain, Iron Defense, Body Press, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Dragon Tail, Dragon Cheer, Twister, Hyper Voice, Stomping Tantrum, Metal Sound, Fire Blast, Protect, Tera Blast, Substitute, Rest, Sleep Talk, Facade, Snore, Take Down

Steel Beam and Dragon Energy limited this mon to having a really low SpAtk, which made it so that its coverage was basically unusable, so we've decided to remove them, and give it an actual SpAtk stat with MGLO, and a small boost to Atk for mixed Shift Gear sets, Make It Rain reaches a similar, slightly weaker damage output that Steel Beam did, while it also has the -1 SpAtk drawback, in exchange, it cab now make use of the coverage it had before, plus new coverage like Thunderbolt, or Fire Blast. It also has access to IronPress too. Got some flavor moves too.

Let us know what do you think of these changes on our discord!

Small Meta A balance change!

Hippaint:
-Nasty Plot, +Work Up

Nasty Plot + Water Shuriken has proven to be an overwhelmingly powerful combination on Hippaint, with basically no offensive switch-ins. Replacing Nasty Plot with Work Up should make it hit less hard.

Meta A Balance Changes!
Hello! We are hoping that these will be the final Meta A balance changes before we start attempting to enter PMPL4!
Nerfs:
Hippaint:

-5 SpAtk, -15 SpDef
+Water Gun, Water Pulse, Mud Shot, Wave Crash, Earthquake, Bulldoze, Fling, Smokescreen, Stomping Tantrum, Rock Slide, Rain Dance, Swift, Sand Attack, Mud-Slap

Hippaint has been an overwhelmingly dominant presence in the metagame, sealing games on the spot with its strong Water Shuriken, while also having one of the most solid defensive profiles in the metagame, this nerf searches to reduce its overall damage, as well as chip at its bulk, paired with one of the best defensive types in the metagame.
Also added some flavor moves, as it was missing some.

Arsenstorm:
-10 Def

Arsenstorm has been a very strong mon in Stall, as it has been shown to be able to make good progress with Spikes and Mortal Spin, as well as its star ability, Neutralizing Gas, we belive these are healthy options on Arsenstorm, so we've decided to tackle its physical defense, so it is able to take physical hits even less well than before, making it easier to deal with.

Buffs:
Faeruin:

+Earthquake, +6 Atk

Faeruin hasn't been very good, even after the buffs to its Bulk Up sets, Earthquake now lets it hit mons that used to give it a lot of trouble, like Vipult, Thaumaton, and Jokerpent. The Atk buff ensures it'll hit strong even before Bulk Up due to Poltergeist.

Drakkanon:
+10 SpDef

Drakkanon has potential to become a strong threat in the metagame, we belive it juat needs a little push. We've got many special attackers, so we'll buff its SpDef so that it has a more comfortable time switching into them

Searytch:
+Slack Off

Searytch desesperately needed self-healing, as with its low speed, and middling bulk before Stamina boosts, as well as the lack of self-healing, made it decently easy to take out. Slack Off should be able to fix these problems, and give it better longevity.

Pinaturbo:
+Taunt

Pinaturbo didn't desesperately need a buff, but most of the mons with access to Taunt in the metagame don't make use of it. Giving Taunt to a mon we belive will make use of it, and is one of our top mons, should make the metagame more healthy, as Stall seems to be a dominant team archetype and this should shut it off more easily.

Arachnode:
+Giga Drain, Stealth Rock

Arachnode is in a weird spot in the meta, it hard loses to Hippaint, something that it shares with Arsenstorm, but Arsenstorm is a top meta threat, while Arachnode sits in the dust. Giga Drain should give it more shine, as it can now deal better with Hippaint, making it better in the metagame. We dont have many Stealth Rock users in the meta so we've also decided to give it access to it.

Bugswarm:
+Stealth Rock

Similar reasoning as why we gave Stealth Rock to Arachnode, but this is an already high-tier option in the metagame with two very interchangeable moveslots, so it'll surely make use of Stealth Rock.

Florustitia:
+20 SpDef

This should make its matchup into special attackers, who used to destroy it, better, specially Hippaint, which surprisingly used to 3HKO it with Earth Power.

Extra Flavor Move Additions:

Eolikopter:
+Wing Attack, Thundershock, Tackle, Air Cutter, Tailwind, Shock Wave, Wild Charge, Supercell Slam, Charge, Electric Terrain, Spark, Gust, Sky Attack, Fly

Blobbiam:
+Disarming Voice, Bubble, Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Waterfall, Baby-Doll Eyes, Misty Terrain, Soak, Pound, Helping Hand

Primordialith:
+Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Ancient Power, Sand Attack, Rock Blast, Tackle, Leer

Reversadusa:
+Confusion, Psybeam, Zen Headbutt, Psywave, Feint Attack, Night Slash, Snarl, Tackle, Pound, Leer

Llanfairwyrm:
+Twister, Dragon Breath, Slash, Growl, Scratch

Frostengu:
+Icy Wind, Avalanche, Karate Chop, Aurora Beam, Powder Snow, Leer, Arm Thrust, Revenge, Pound, Helping Hand

Yamateraph:
+Tackle, Growl, Charm, Baby-Doll Eyes, Fairy Wind, Disarming Voice, Misty Terrain, Slash, Fury Swipes, Follow Me, Helping Hand

Brasspecter:
+Astonish, Ominous Wind, Phantom Force, Shadow Punch, Spite, Metal Sound, Hard Press, Metal Claw, Pound, Leer

Parasike:
+Confusion, Psybeam, Dream Eater, Hypnosis, Psychic Terrain, Pollen Puff, Struggle Bug, Tackle, Leer, Instruct

Jokerpent:
+Draco Meteor, Twister, Dragon Rush, Dragon Breath, Dragon Cheer, Happy Hour, Leer, Smog, Acid, Poison Tail, Belch, Sludge, Sludge Wave

Socknbusk'n:
+Helping Hand, Follow Me, Mega Punch, Leer, Headbutt, Pay Day, Rock Smash, Vacuum Wave, Karate Chop, Focus Blast, Tackle

And that's all! Hope yall can help in gathering as many replays as possible for the metagame, so we can know that these balance changes do make the metagame better, so Blank Canvas can finally enter PMPL4!

Extra balance changes!

There's two mons that haven't had time to shine. With these buffs, we belive they'll be healthy additions to the metagame, as they give us a role we're lacking on, in stallbreakers.
Kadraoke:
+Take Heart +Slack Off

Viable Psychic Noise user! Denies healing to stall while staying healthy itself with Slack Off, denying the slow progress stall would do against it, and removes status from itself via Take Heart, it now gains a nasty 4MSS though, as it'll be running Take Heart, Clanging Scales, Psychic Noise, 4th move most of the time, and that 4th moveslot can be filled by Fire Blast to kill Steels, Agility for offensive matchups, or Slack Off for healing.

Drakkannon
+Taunt, +Disable, +Rapid Spin

Due to the Rapid Spin speed boost, it can now go scarfless, as well as being another hazard remover! Taunt and Disable help against the stall matchup, as Taunt lets it prevent self-healing or any status move stall might try, while it fires off its powerful STABs, while Disable can protect it from the only non-status move a stallmon may carry, though many of our stallmons usually carry more than 1 non-status move already, so Taunt + Disable strats to make the opponent Struggle are heavily limited.

ok i swear these will 100% be the last balance changes before PMPL4 replays

After the playtesting from getting the 15 replays, we're coming with a small balance patch!

Nerfs:
Socknbusk'n

-Knock Off

We've seen that we have a Knock Off overflow on the metagame, so we've decided to remove it from our most splashable mon. Sockn doesnt really need Knock Off, as its already has many impactful tools, like U-Turn, and Scrappy Rapid Spin, keeping Knock Off on it just makes Knock Off way more of a dominant, unhealthy tool in the metagame, and considering how splashable Sockn is, it makes it even worse. This also helps balance Sockn out, giving other mons with similar roles a chance to shine.

Buffs:
Sculptera

+Defiant +Hone Claws

Sculptera has been in thr shadow of Llanfairwyrm for a while now, as it lacks the damage output Llan can do, so we've decided to give it two tools that can help it here. Defiant and Hone Claws help on its own ways, as Defiant can be another option for Vipult-weak teams over Skill Link, but Hone Claws it what makes it shine, as it finally gets a way to manually boost its damage output, while not copying Dragon Dance sets from Llan. It makes its STAB Rock Blast and Scale Shot, as well as Bone Rush, more accurate, giving it more chances to use Defiant over Skill Link, and again, makes its damage output stronger, which considering how strong its STAB Rock Blast can get, lets it match the other powerhouses on the tier.

Yall can talk abt these on the discord!

Talked w Geko, and he said it should be fine to make a roomtour on Friday!
