Hello, I am clodsie. This first post is a lot of my sketches I had done prior to opening my art thread. This post originally had each drawing as its own file attached, but I feel doing that honestly just is clunkier than displaying them. Forgive the length of this post, following posts tend to boil down to a few new ones per piece of art. I have gone through and edited it so all art is directly visible and uses my proper username rather than my old one. My newest doodle with little exception will be on PS's lobby as the daily clodsie as I need to abuse my staff privlidges somehow and I hope you enjoy my art.
The Beginning
These first four sketches genuinely were important. Without them I would not have gotten back into art and also showdown as a whole. A friend of mine likes maractus so I drew them a maractus. Then another one (or at least a mimikyu pretending to be one). Then another. This genuinely helped me get back into not just art, but also showdown.
Upping the Ante
These are other assorted sketches originally attached to this post, but now they are better integrated. There are some nice ones here and one of note in my opinion for it's origins in the Litten, which was directly inspired based off of a randcat command used in lobby.
Favorites
The wiglett one I really worked to make a scene and I am rather proud of it still. Also it is loss. The yanmega one I took inspiration from the Wiglett one in trying to flesh it out more than just one mon and honestly is something I need to start doing more of again now that I am more comfortable with my fibre-tip pens (kinda like markers). The Horse Among Us is just amusing and the Durant x Mega Rayquaza is technically a Pride Month Drawing which is neat.
While I could delete this post and put the rest on the prior post of the thread, I will not. These include some of my last sketches, some of my first to have color, and some other stuff I did.
Color
The Trapinch was my first art with my current main tools, the fibre-tip pens. They bleed, but I didn't know that then. I do now and am better at handling it. Among my tricks is I mostly use my dark brown marker over the black one as it tends to bleed less compared to the black one so it turns out cleaner.
The Koffing was made in part to celebrate the birthday of lobby on Showdown. As a rainbow koffing is essentially lobby's mascot, it just made sense to do for the occasion. I think it turned out remarkably well for my inexperience with my pens.
There is also the 2025 main Pride Month art I did, which genuinely turned out well, though will color I think the 2026 one will be more exciting perhaps.
The other drawing I would like to call special attention to would be the Furret. Furret just had a stuck in pringles can shape and as such I draw it. I think it turned out well and is just a fun sketch of mine.
Turns out I forgot a couple doodles. One is unfinished, but i just haven't felt like finishing it (mostly due to the woods and wanting to add more but unsure what/where, the other was the last doodle I did before I invented color.
Had grand ambitions, got frustrated with them. Drew eepy cyndaquil. Had smear. Covered it up with grass and added more text. probably better spot to sign tbh. Tried doing color then outline rather than outline > color as i have been. unsure if better tbh.
so it has been a while. Had this idea for a while but finally liked the sketch enough to do it. Its 3 markers where I assigned each an axis (an xyz type one) and besides the signature it was just those 3. Hope people like it.
there is another Porygon and I covered up a mistake successfully through the paint app on my computer which was nice even if I could maybe have done better at the cover up.
I drew one of the best evolutionary lines in my opinion and am rather happy with them. Attached the wooper without lineart as it also is nice but I am getting better at being patient with my pens drying as there is less bleeding, although I do wish I kept more white in the wooper's eyes and maybe planned out some highlights for both of them.
Fun Fact, at one point I was planning on having wooper stand on a lotad, but it didn't turn out well so I added the quagsire instead.
Well furret seems significantly happier than he did last time he was in a promgles can...
guess he can just stay there for a while.

I am actually doing art every few days which is good. I like this style I am developing with the line art how it is. Edit: Added WIP versions of the art as it shows my process and its nice to show the other bits imo. The flower turned out somewhat amazing color wise and I am really happy about that, especially the crown.
This post is not a new piece of art (sorry), but just me saying that I reorganized all the posts I did earlier so my art is displayed better and easier to see than before. New art coming when I make it, but now I think my thread is organized better than before and looks nicer which is a positive thing.
