Role Justification: Grass/Steel is an excellent defensive type, and Iron Simian abuses that to switch in, scare something out, and gain momentum with Volt Switch. Its STABs + Focus Blast annoy steel types that would check it, however Fire types remain a major issue. It can also run a Setup set, but this set would likely be easier for Fire type pokemon to take advantage of. The ability can provide speed control in a pinch.

Role Justification: Fighting/Flying is a surprisingly good physically defensive type combo, providing neutrality to Stealth Rock while immune to Ground/other hazards. It also carries other useful resistances to Dark and Fighting. This Pokemon has an excellent utility movepool, most notably Defog which works with its good matchup into entry hazards, but also options such as Knock Off and slow pivoting with U-Turn. It can also run bulky sweeping sets with STAB Body Press and either Iron Defense or Bulk Up. Also it serves as a funny counter to potential ghost special attackers in the future due to its ability reflecting Shadow Ball. However, its worse special bulk and weakness to many common attacking types on that end keeps it in check.

Role Justification: MALAMAR LET’S GOO!! In all seriousness, Malamar is a Contrary user. While its low stats make it hard to work with, fusing with Incineroar creates a versatile and potent offensive threat. It can run typical Contrary Superpower sets, or even run STAB Overheat off of a not too horrible SpA stat. It also has decent coverage and STAB Knock Off, allowing multiple viable sets, although mixed Contrary is probably the best option. However, its poor speed and awkward defensive typing means it can easily be handled before it snowballs out of control, even with a Scarf.

Role Justification: Water/Fairy is an excellent typing defensively and offensively. With good bulk, decent mixed offenses, SF-boosted STABs and coverage, different set-up moves, and overall versatility, Diangatr has the potential to be a great wallbreaker. Both physical and special sets have their niches. Physical sets benefit from both STABs being boosted by SF and having DD to sweep, while special sets have better coverage overall and a powerful SF Moonblast. You can also run bulky sets with its great typing and decent utility, although its lack of recovery probably makes it an inferior option. Tanky sets are probably better than pure walling if you want a bulkier spread. However, Diangatr is let down by its poor speed. Even at +1 DD, Scarfers are most likely going to outrun it, making it decently manageable.

Intended Role: Bulky Physical Wallbreaker, Offensive Pivot, Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: A fairly simple attacker/wallbreaker with a unique twist: Contact moves heal Ludishifu. This means that Surging Strikes heals you thrice, which is almost 25% of your health! That might seem like a lot, but remember that it is off a non-STAB option. In this sense, Surging Strikes will be used primarily for its healing and not for its offense. Ludishifu is interesting because you need to be able to balance both offense and healing in the correct situations. Ludishifu benefits from attacking as much as possible, and even stray hits over the course of the game can easily add up to a lot of surprising longevity. Even without crazy offenses or excellent speed, this makes Ludishifu surprisingly good as a wallbreaker, not because of its sheer offense but the fact that it will be able to come back with mounting health to simply wear down the opponent with constant attacks. This is an interesting take on the physical wallbreaker, in my opinion, and will open the door to a lot of interesting games and battle states. Not only that, but this mon can also even act as a setup sweeper with the longevity to come back and set up a sweep for multiple turns over the course of a game, which could end up being surprisingly effective for an unprepared opponent.

Intended Role: Stallbreaker, Bulky Wall
Role Justification: A solid special wall with a combination of traits that makes it an excellent mon that can still threaten a lot of defensive threats while also being pretty bulky itself. Fire Lash can almost always force progress and Gigaton Hammer is just an excellent STAB 160 BP move, especially combined with the former's defensive statdrops. Meanwhile, as a defensive mon it's Fire/Steel typing, excellent special bulk, Fire Immunity, Stealth Rock hazard setting, and Knock Off means it's always doing something to cripple opposing mons. Meanwhile, it's combination of Poison immunity, the aforementioned Fire Immunity, Mold Breaker, neutrality to hazards, Fire Lash to force progress against defensive mons, and decent bulk makes it a surprisingly effective stallbreaker when combined with all the previous mentioned traits. Overall, this mon is surprisingly interesting and seems to have a seriously fun collection of sets it can play around with.

Role Justification: Versatile jack-of-all-trades mon that has offensive stats but also has solid defensive utility. Intimidate alongside Teleport gives it an excellent niche as a defensive pivot, especially combined with its typing. It can use Scald to continue cripple physical attackers, Knock Off, and can Teleport out, simultaneously setting up for its teammates. Krookomie doesn't shy on the offenses either as it has respectable offensive stats and excellent STAB moves (EQ and a fast Flip Turn) alongside its good speed. It can also switch playstyles to a sweeper with Flamboyant and can aim for a potential sweep under the right conditions. Krookomie is fast enough to make this work, and has good STAB moves and coverage to be able to hit a lot of types. Overall, this mon generally does a lot of things well no matter what the role is.

With Orichalcum Pulse, this thing effectively has base 139 Atk, while setting up sun for its team mates with Protosynthesis and throwing stab Solar Blades around without needing to charge! Leaf Guard also gives it a neat immunity to non-volatile status condition or Yawn.

It also has some offensive presence with a usable 105 Special Attack stat paired with Nasty Plot and ample coverage, if you want to use it that way.
