Welcome to the 6th edition of Challenge Cup Cup! The most anticipated tournament of the year is back and we are all ready to witness legendary clashes in the greatest formats of all time! After all, where else can you see such great pulls with Metronome? 151 turns in a Mystery Box format? Yep, we have that. You want to see an absolutely cracked Lechonk that almost destroyed everything? We have that too!
If the premise seems enticing, you can read below to learn more about the tournament structure and you can also join the CCC server so you won't miss the action that is going to unfold in the next weeks.

Tournament Structure
CCC6 will take place over 9 weeks. In the first 7 weeks, the 8 teams will play round robin matchups, so everyone can do a little :) and a little >:( with everyone else. The top 4 teams, determined by overall record (with games-won serving as tiebreaker), will then proceed to the playoffs, duking it out to be crowned CCCCs (Challenge Cup Cup Champions)!

Teams and Managers
Each team will have 2 managers, 13/15 starter slots and 3 substitute slots*, and will be drafted via snake format in the CCC server. Both Managers have the option to play in one of the player slots, but are not obliged to. In case of "self buy", these will occur in round 5 and 8.
Since CCC is primarily a social tour, we aim to choose competent managers that know how to build and run a team towards success but most importantly, who will be able to foster a positive and fun team environment. While past Challenge Cup Cup manager involvement will be considered, we want to have a breadth of old and new managers!

The managers of CCC6 will be announced on October 1st

Formats:
Each team will play 13 matchups per week. That's right, we have increased the number of formats in order to address the growing randbats playerbase and to give a chance to participate to as many people as possible. But wait, there is more!
*We have decided that if we get more than 210 signups, we'll increase the number of starter slots to 15 (with 3 subs)!

As of now, the formats of CCC6 will be:

Code:
Gen 9 Challenge Cup 1v1 (bo7)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup 1v1 (bo5)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup 1v1 (bo5)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup 1v1 (bo5)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup 2v2 (bo7)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup 2v2 (bo5)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup 2v2 (bo5)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup (bo3)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup (bo3)
Gen 9 Challenge Cup (bo3)
Gen 1 Challenge Cup (bo3)
Mystery Box
Mystery Box

How does Mystery Box work?
Each week, the hosts will randomly select two outside-the-box formats to include in each weekly matchup, without repeats.

Note: even if the hosts have already come up with most of the Mystery Box formats, we prefer to have further conversations with the CCC6 managers, once they'll be announced, to take a definitive decision.

Prizes
CCC is that kind of tournament where the final prize is "the friends you meet along the way" but this year we also asked the very talented Affles to create an artwork of the mascot of the winning team!
