I created this team for LCWCOP when i faced Enigma. I knew he was probably gonna bring some weird stuff so i decided to do same and put a good show for spectators.

My first concern while building the team was to make this team enough stable so i can get some free u-turn and bring in Eevee safely. Without any surprise i placed Mienfoo and Vullaby with this move. Since Eevee is unfortunately only reaching 14 speed (13 here because i chose to put adamant nature), i had the issue of it not outspeeding most of the metagame. I decided to step back and make this team more offensive with Swords dance Inner focus Mienfoo that make a very good surprising lead. Then i placed Nasty Plot Vullaby with both stabs to be able to hit neutrally Glimmet, which is a concern for the team and the longevity of Eevee. On the other hand, i got my own Glimmet to put in check opposing Vullaby and force switches while putting pressure with rocks. Finally, Toedscool is the dedicated spinner. I chose to give Dazzling Gleam a place in the move slot to punish Vullaby switch-in which is a 2HKO on standard set after rocks. Elekid complete the team to have good speed control while outspeeding Diglett-Alola, another big threat to the team. I opted for Volt Switch instead of Focus blast because it was for the match-up vs Enigma, but the opposite is better in général. Altough, having at least one Volt-Turn move is kind of mandatory in this metagame so that helped my choice.

The star of the show on paper is Eevee and i'm glad it was true in practice too in my match. I decided to go all-in with 3 normal moves + sleep talk to come on Foongus with anticipation of Spore for example. Double-edge with Adaptability does insane damage to the big majority of the metagame who doesnt resist it, while getting some OHKO on the more fragile ones. Body Slam is here to fish paralysis here and there and Quick attack is to have at least one priority.

I think the most interesting calcs we can have here are probably:

Note that all those pokemon are either OHKO or die after rocks or die with an additional Quick attack. Of course, add the Tera Normal in these calcs and you get OHKO on everything even without rocks except Mudbray and Vullaby

Main threats to Eevee are Tera ghost Vullaby (or tera ghost in général ofc, ghost pokemons are almost non existent rn), Tinkatink, Glimmet and Sanshdrew-Alola. Those are obviously also threats to the team in general, but with proper pressure and keeping healthy Mubdray, you should be safe.

Overall, i think its a fun team that i suggest you guys can try on ladder and even in tours because Eevee is very underrated and poeple often dont know what to expect. I kept my team secret hoping that SCL captains would maybe draft mid-season but thats another subject lol.

I created this Turtwig team because it reminded me of a popular composition many players use, known as the Stunky–Shellder core — a well-known combo that uses Shellder Smash + Stunky’s Memento, allowing setup against most Pokémon. I built Turtwig around that concept.


I tested a few versions, including Stunky, Foongus, Mudbray, Mienfoo, and Turtwig. It worked in some matches, but the most consistent version was the one with TTM Stunky. I added Spikes along with Balloon Tinkatink so I could remove Vullaby’s Eviolite and set up Stealth Rocks, which helps secure KOs on threats like Stunky. When the hazards are up, I can get a KO with Tera Fire or Bullet Seed if the opponent doesn’t have Eviolite.


With Tera Fire, Turtwig can take down Steel- and Grass-type Pokémon. Very few things can survive Turtwig’s attacks, which is why I chose Tera Fire. When combined with Stealth Rock and Spikes, Turtwig guarantees a one-hit KO on almost everything. Substitute helps win most 50/50 situations.


Regarding the TTM concept, I believe this team style is very strong and common in the current metagame, so I decided to pair it with Turtwig, who is already quite powerful on its own. You could run Jolly to outspeed some Scarf users, but I prefer Naughty to secure KOs on certain threats after rocks.

Team of 6 Shitmons

What's better than 1 shitmon? How about 6 shitmons? I set out with a goal to hit 1300 on the ladder, to show it is possible to make a ladder functional team only using pokemon ranked D or below on viability. Although I set a pretty low bar for success this team honestly surprised me. I went 13-2 on ladder and even went 2-0 against 1450+ elo opponents.

It has been a while since I have made an LC team but I feel like my best LC teams are the HO teams, so I felt I had to continue the trend here. This team is by no means perfect, but it is functional on the LC ladder.

Super underrated sweeper. Tera ground earthquake + Rock head double edge is great double dance coverage.

Luck based belly drum sweeper, but if you land hypnosis you are basically guaranteed a kill. Hits insanely hard, tera steel is for grookey which the team is weak to. Also provides speed control.

Dedicated lead. Sets up spikes. Curse can give good chip in needed situations.

Grookey check & defensive pivot that provides memento support. Also the grounded poison for the team which is essential in LC

Great pokemon auto-chess mon, but also strongest special attack stat in the tier. Here to stop opposing sweepers excluding shellder. Basically the OU Reuniclus set with a sash instead of life orb to guarantee live a hit.

Great d-dance sweeper thanks to tera dragon outrage, doesn't often get a lot of kills but is a solid early wallbreaker.

I know this was a joke but after playing with this team I think rhyhorn is legit an underrated threat; double-dance put in a lot of work for this team, honestly deserves higher than D tier and I hope tera ground + double edge makes a tourney appearence at some point.

HO is alive and well in LC. Tera gives insane potential for HO mons, allowing them to pick up extra KOs with the attack bonus and also the ability to resist hits for setup.

Alolan Meowth Sweeper​

Alolan Meowth might not look threatening at first glance — it has mediocre offensive stats and a frail body — but it hides a powerful combo: Rattled and Nasty Plot. In a tier dominated by Knock Off, U-turn, and priority moves, this feline turns common threats into setup fuel.

The strategy is simple but deadly:

• Bait Knock Off, U-turn, or Shadow Sneak — all trigger Rattled, giving you a free +1 Speed.
• With 19 base Speed, a single boost lets you outspeed the entire tier, including Scarfers and boosted threats.
• While your opponent thinks they're gaining momentum, you drop a Nasty Plot and flip the script.
• From there, you sweep with Dark Pulse, Thunderbolt, or Tera Blast depending on your coverage needs.

Usage Tips​

• Lead into common Knock Off/U-turn users like Mienfoo, Vullaby, or Pawniard.
• Use Protect Turn 1 to scout and potentially trigger Rattled.
• Set up Nasty Plot on the switch or after surviving a hit.
• Clean with boosted Dark Pulse and coverage.

VullChou Ekans

Hello LC!
I built around my favorite fighting resist! Ekans is very frail, so it needs to make its mark quickly. This makes it perfect for an offensive team.

I used my favorite offensive engine (Vull + Chou) as a starting point.

Then I added Ekans.

Chespin was added to support Ekans bad Ground Type matchup.

SD Mienfoo is added as a win condition that can take advantage of paralysis.

Rounded the team off with a Vullaby check in Glimmet.

Gameplan:
Basically, you want to paralyze and knock the foe and use that leverage to sweep with Mienfoo or Chinchou. Chespin and Glimmet provide crucial hazards to chip opponent mons into range of HJK or Hydro Pump.
Testing:
This team has been cooking in the lab for awhile and has gone through hundreds of test games. Most of the early ones were losses.

Some of the tech here is strange, so I'll explain.
The mixed Endure Vull is a blanket check to some of the speedy sweepers in the tier like Shellder and Sandshrew-Alola, while also KOing fast Mienfoo with Adamant Brave Bird.

Scarf T-wave is a level 3 move, meant to bluff that you aren't scarf when used (or bluff that you aren't T-wave when scarf is revealed)

Trailblaze is kinda cheese, sub is probably better

Chespin is roar

Ancient Power Glimmet is used here as a means to squeeze outs into this team. A random omniboost wins games.

This team is weak to trapping and Elekid. There is some counterplay, but it isn't great.

A good matchup for this team is any squad with no mudbray and/or no electric type.

Hello LC community! I am pretty new to everything so please correct me if i do something wrong.

The main guys of this team are Joltik and Cranidos. To be honest i have no idea how to team built BUT i am good at learning and i believe having read a lot of articles on teams gives me an ideas on how to team built.

The Team is simple: Attack oriented Mienfoo with Close Combat (I missed one too many jump kicks), Mudbray with counter to catch the opponent of guard, Defensive Vullaby who turns into a fast clean up pokemon with weak armor and Stunky for stab Sucker punch to deal with Priority and Toedscool. Now Joltik is a bulky special attacker who wants to switch around with Volt Switch and hit big Thunders. Cranidos with Max Speed, Attack Evs and a choice scarf outspeeds every (unboosted) pokemon in the Tier. A Stab rock slide or a Tera Zen Headbutt is a nice way to bash through the opposing team.

I dont have much time to test the team but i some stuff does come up: Other fast pokemon give me trouble to position my Cranidos and this makes him useless. The games that i was able to play didnt have much variety or were played by people with weird teams that seem to be not as experienced with the Tier, so i dont have much data to use for this post.

Scarfoo is very threatening (when it hits) and functions as a late game cleaner. Hazards can help it secure KOs. The pivot sets aren't too valuable on this team because Gunk-Pin-Tink is already such a passive core, and there's not really a frail wallbreaker that would appreciate U-Turn support. Synergizes pretty well with Stunky because Stunky can remove Eviolites and punishes Tera Ghosts.
Is fast and hits hard. I originally used Vullaby, but I like Stunky's immediate speed and ability to threaten Tinkatink more.
The featured shitmon and fighting resist. Surf Mareanie usage is trending down, but it’s a very good matchup for Croagunk. Tera Grass is for Diglett. While it doesn't have reliable recovery like Foongus and Mareanie, it’s still pretty bulky, and DPunch can help it last longer. Also has Knock.

Croagunk and Chespin are both very weak to Vull, and Tinkatink is the sturdiest Vull check. 16 Speed outspeeds Plot Vull and with Air Balloon, it can steal items easier and check Mudbray.
Walls Foongus and sets Spikes, which can help secure KOs for Stunky or Foo. Also is the Ground check. Bulldoze is mainly for Stunky and Snowshrew, lowering Speed and letting other teammates beat them. Drain Punch for Snowshrew or Roar to get extra chip could also be used. With Tera Water, it also checks Shellder, but loses its Foongus matchup.
Another Vull check (it's really scary) and the pivot. 23 HP minimizes hazard damage. Makes clicking for opposing Chinchou hard because Ice Beam is pretty weak, but you don’t want to give Chinchou or Croagunk free healing.

Team Description:

The team is built around Swords Dance Copycat Riolu which is this team's main lategame cleaner / sweeper. The team members are selected to help you achieve the same, more on that in the following segment :

Individual Members:

The star of the show, copycat allows it to spam cc almost freely, tera fairy allows riolu to setup on common mons like vullaby and mienfoo while also keeping a resistance to sucker punch from stunky and diglett. Alternatively, tera steel can be used to have a more easier time against vull while being resistanct to priority like fake out, grassy glide and ice shard. Ice Punch is for foongus which can be alternatively replaced with Earthquake for a easier time against mareanie. You can also use high jump kick over close combat if you are feeling lucky.

Electric immune of the team, and very important hazard setter. Mudbray is one of the best mons in the tier rn, no further explanations needed.

First knocker on the team, very important for those rolls pointed above. Just like mudbray, no more explanation needed for this mon either

Spore and tspike absorber, also your fighting resist for the team.

The second wincon on the team, np vullaby is really annoying to play against sometimes (in my opinion), and can win games on its own if it gets one of those 30% flinch rolls. Nasty Plot 3a for maximum coverage, however this is probably the most versatile mon on this team, so you can play around with this set as you see fit.

Provides very important 2nd knocker on this team, and memento helps provide easy setup opportunities for both riolu and vullaby.

First of all none of them are shitmons. I wanted to build a sweeper team that makes sense to me but not to opponent. I started building the team around cottonee with the idea of using tailwind + band foo and life orb mons till i realised he doesnt learn it this gen. So memento it is with set up sweepers and encore to mess up opponent sweepers. The last move switcheroo is a lot more useful than giga drain cause stealing evio is fun as cott is likely to get knocked early. Now you might be wondering where the rocks at? Who needs them anyways when the team is good right? Then comes in gible with the sweeper set. Originally it was tera ground but vullaby is annoying so i made it steel. Foongus is an easy pick as he is a defensive mushroom and spore switchin. I didnt wanted to be overwhelmed by hazard and didnt wanna waste a mon with defog or spin so what can remove hazard and act as a sweeper? Minccino ofcourse with tidy up and tail slap it is quite good at its job is what i would like to say if tera didnt exist but it does so i was concerned about the 4th move. Originally i had tera ground tera blast but that made the team a lot more dependent on tera usage. Ultimately i decided to stick t wave and it worked quite well. Goth is not only for trap killing but also trick enables it to allow a safer set up for the sweeper. For the final mon as a sweeper it is shelld no it's squirtle. Originally i had it tera water with protect and ice beam but sub with ghost gave better result. Sub also allows activation of torrent incase you are not in that hp range and avoid sucker punch ofcourse.

After Magby got banned way earlier this year, emptywisdom put me onto this little guy. The coverage hit everything relevant hard enough that it's usable. 19 speed lets you tie against Diglett-Alola and only be outsped by Elekid, really just showing that fast Pokemon + LO = good enough. Core 4 is Core 4, not explaining them. Elekid is my fake answer to opposing Elekids, while also just being another strong special attacker to help Poliwag make progress.

Team weakness is definitely the trappers Gothita and Trapinch, if given entry points they will claim pretty much everything on this team. Snowshrew can also be problematic if Mienfoo dies early, or if Tea gets exhausted.
