MWP VII Manager Power Rankings
Brought to you by TheWyvernKing, Leafium Z, & Adjustments​

Welcome to the seventh iteration of the Monotype Winter Premiere! With a manager ban less than 24 hours into signups, further drama bearing fruit, and all the apparent qualities of a generational tour, I present you with the MWP VII MANAGER POWER RANKINGS!

For so long we limited the scope of team player rankings to simply the players taking part. A fun tradition of banter to stir the pot a tiny bit as the season starts…

But with new managers, washed managers, returning washed managers (Wincon), and Chaitanya getting more points than Dural Madrid ever did, the necessity for a clearly communicated power ranking is needed more than ever. After all, shouldn’t the players know who they’re signing up to play with?

With so much on the line to give the players what is required of a manager VR, we decided to come together as 3 very biased and washed players to give our best input on what to expect from this tour. We are TheWyvernKing, Adjustments, and Leafium Z. Before any outbursts and angry questions on personal rankings, I, TheWyvernKing, remind you it is impossible to get an accurate ranking on the managers. As a result, point all your angry thoughts at Leafium Z, as he is “retired”.

Three different metrics were used to determine the Power of each manager pairings. We, the washed players, individually gave a score of 0-10 to each pairings for each defined metric. They are as follows:

  1. Chances of Qualifying
Just as players draw reputation from their performances in team and individual tours, the managers in question have all formed some sort of rep prior to being chosen as a manager here. The first factor in our decision is the chance a team has of qualifying, and for every manager pairing we give a ranking based on their perceived ability to support and lead a team to victory. We considered experience as a manager, prior success in team tours, the ability to support a team through knowledge and experience of tiers, and their own ability to perform as a player and help guide others.

  1. The “Fun” Factor
Like it or not, it is more than possible for a manager to just suck as far as vibes go. This can be a lack of memes, a lack of assistance, a temperamental persona, amongst other vibes sucking qualities. In smaller tours, you even see players go to opposing managers for assistance if time comes to it. The legacy of a team is more than just how well they did in season. Friendships may be forged, Stockholm syndrome shared, weird allegories, and hype moments. This is Pokemon, and as sweaty as some of us are, it is the joy we draw of the game that makes it all worth it.

  1. Quality of Team Name
A season of MWP is temporary, however, a winning custom avatar is eternal. Moreover, just how creative and well thought out was that Team Name in Question? This final X factor for Manager PR gives a grade on the Team Name each Manager represents. While it is true with enough morale, good vibes, and comradery, players can banner together behind ANY team, a mascot with aura will always draw more pride in the players. If “Team Name” is deemed too arbitrary, then consider it a judgement of the manager’s creativity.

Ladies and Gentlemen, without further ado, let’s find out the results!

The Official Rankings​


1. Seafolk City Spirits (hex + boomp + style.css) - 78 Points

Adjustments Score: 29 (9 for qualifying, 10 for fun, 10 for team name)
Leafs Score: 27 (9 for qualifying, 9 for fun, 9 for team name)
Wyv's Score: 22 (7 for qualifying, 8 for fun, 7 for team name)

The Spirits franchise is returning with hex at the helm once again. They won MWP 4 with the power of friendship and will probably look to the same formula again. Hex got really mad at adjustments for playing like shit during MPL so maybe she will not bring him back to this iteration of the franchise, especially with the retirement of mushamu and the deletion of his discord account. Those that get drafted should expect a fun experience without any issue. Fun managers, good support, and worst comes to worst you can always just enter the team’s voice call to hear the warm sultry voice of your very own personal Boomp podcast. The only potential issue that could arise is what some call “the great dooming disease”, momentum takes people to great highs, and others to the lowest of nadirs. For managers hex and boomp that might just be the case as some have referred to them as known doomers. If there’s any solace to have though, it’s the powerful 20 points lead the Spirits hold over the second place in our Manager PR, showcasing the high expectations held of this duo.

2. Corviknights of the Round Table (Ethereal Sword + Wincon + Crossheart) - 59 Points

Adjustments Score: 19 (5 for qualifying, 5 for fun, 9 for team name)
Leafs Score: 21 (5 for qualifying, 6 for fun,10 for team name)
Wyv's Score: 19 (4 for qualifying, 5 for fun, 10 for team name)

Coming in at the last second to fill the 8th team slot, the Corviknights of the Round Table have managed to find themselves in second place for Manager power rankings. This is surely a shock to most people, I definitely wet my pants when I saw the numbers, but don’t be too surprised! A closer look at the tally reveals that the score for this manager pairings is held up almost entirely by their team name being an absolute banger. Huge props for this ragtag group to come up with Corviknights of the Round Table at the last second. The managers themselves strangely seem to synergize pretty well together too. Crossheart provides useful experience for the National Dex slot as a former council member and is a proven manager. Wincon, despite being washed, is a player who’s been around long enough for a valuable perspective into old gens. Lastly, Ethereal Sword’s reputation is almost entirely built upon his creativity and successes in SV. That being said, this is just what the best of these managers would show on paper. The actual practicality of this pairing is…errr…questionable. Is the SV slot dependent on a guy devoted to switcheroo lagging tail Klefki and Fezandipiti? Would you really rather talk to Wincon than just give yourself AI psychosis? Does CrossHeart even play the game still? The Corviknights are a pairing that definitely show potential, but will need to showcase the best that each manager has to offer should they play on going home with their own custom avatar.

3. I Could Be Bellibolts (Attribute + Azick + Isza) - 55 Points

Adjustments Score: 18 (9 for qualifying, 7 for fun, 2 for team name)
Leafs Score: 18 (10 for qualifying, 2 for fun, 6 for team name)
Wyv's Score: 19 (8 for qualifying, 3 for fun, 8 for team name)

After achieving two finals in the last three tournaments (putting aside the catastrophic last place in MPL XI), Isza once again returns to his roots in Monotype alongside his longtime frenemy Attribute and… Azick, for some reason? Don’t ask me, I don’t know either. Moving on, no one is foolish enough to deny the expert understanding of the game that most of these players hold and the astronomical expectations about them, at the very least, getting to the playoffs. However, their total rating is tanked by a likely dry and somewhat inactive teamcord, which seems to be an alarming recurring theme coming from these managers. The current prediction for the teamcord experience is for Isza to say nothing, Azick to be completely ignored as he poorly explains a garchomp set, and for Attribute to rotate personas between helpful manager and guy who couldn’t care less as he’s playing duo games with his girlfriend. Lastly, I have no clue why Adjustments gave such a low ranking for their team name, I thought it was legit funny and a great pun especially given the, er… recent events on the Monotype scene.

3. Northern Veils (Twinkay + Seo. + Tenebricite) - 55 Points

Adjustments Score: 16 (7 for qualifying, 6 for fun, 3 for team name)
Leafs Score: 21 (6 for qualifying, 7 for fun, 8 for team name)
Wyv's Score: 18 (4 for qualifying, 7 for fun, 7 for team name)

It is safe to say at this point that twinkay has revived Seo’s fainting Monotype career by teaching him how to draft a decent to great team, which is evident from MFPL I and II, and MWP VI. Their run last year was not nearly as bad as anyone expected it to be. With adding Tenebricite as a 3rd, they do cover more bases than previously, but that still means they must find what worked in the final weeks of the season last year and bring it to this year’s team. This is, however, already more glaze than I’m ever willing to give a Twinkay team. Go back to MWP V and you will see a team record even worse than Dural Madrid’s with Twinkay’s management leading to a 0-6-1 performance. Go to MPL IX and you see another 8th place Twinkay team that did barely any better. Go to the MPL before then and naturally you see Twinkay's team with an awful performance in 7th. Twinkay is the nepo baby manager of Monotype, somehow given the reins of Mono Premiere teams till at least getting a decent performance after over 2 years and frankly speaking managing and supporting an MFPL team well is a pretty low bar to cross. As far as vibes go, pokemon dad Seo probably has the highest Q rating of any player on this list, truly here for just the good vibes, whereas Tenebricite somewhat legitimizes the pair with his superb talents. I don’t think anyone expects the Veils to win this tournament, but by locking in maybe they can surprise us all.

5. Victory Road Victinis (Jahkem + 1 True Lycan + Cow) - 50 Points

Adjustments Score: 15 (2 for qualifying, 5 for fun, 8 for team name)
Leafs Score: 19 (6 for qualifying, 8 for fun, 5 for team name)
Wyv's Score: 16 (4 for qualifying, 5 for fun, 7 for team name)

With a record in mono tours that has placed him at the top of the Monotype Team Tour Compiler for years , 1 True Lycan has returned to the monotype tournament scene in style. Less than one week back and Lycan’s return has already smited Chait with a manager ban, followed up by another player going excommunicado, and to top it all off he then kicks Zap out from managing his own team. That’s 2 former tierleaders down in less than a week for those keeping track. The team itself is a wild one all together. Who knows how on earth Jahkem got to manage, his forum posts have seared more damage into my optical nerve than staring directly into an eclipse ever could. On the bright side things seem a bit better when we imagine Jahkem is just a chill guy, and Cow does bring an amazing and energetic presence in team tours which adds to a fun environment. However, as skilled as Lycan was in the past, we don’t know how good he will be in the present, and Jahkem should not expect to be carried by him. Fact of the matter is that Jahkem and Cow don’t have any actual experience with managing a Mono Team Tour. Matter of fact, Jahkem has never even taken part in a major team tour from what I could see, with participation in the first MFPL and assisting with forum tours appearing to be the most relevant experience. Should these managers fail to gather appropriate builders and helpers for their team, I’d say players may be shit out of luck so far as team support goes.

6. Mt. Battle Minuns (Crash + LuckyPiper + jackuzzler) - 49 Points

Adjustments Score: 19 (4 for qualifying, 9 for fun, 6 for team name)
Leafs Score: 13 (3 for qualifying, 9 for fun, 1 for team name)
Wyv's Score: 15 (6 for qualifying, 9 for fun, 2 for team name)

It is admirable to say you feel for crashy lately, as he consistently puts up with the most random BS on his teams, yet still trudges through with positivity which is good enough to hold things together and keep his team in contention to the final week. He brings back LuckyPiper who is equivalent to Celtics Shaq on this manager trio. Does he provide anything meaningful besides 2020 knowledge of SM and maybe some threat tests? The only hope for playoffs behind crashy’s indomitable spirit lies in the Monotype rookie jackuzzler, who has been super motivated to prove himself as a mainstay in this community despite not having the greatest of performances in individuals. His motivation and strong prep skills can lead the Treec- Minuns into playoff contention. Players drafted to this team shouldn’t worry about team environment, as all 3 of these guys are super friendly, and super bonus points if you like to talk about sports or anime, as both of those bases are covered.

7. Mudae Mudbrays (Trichotomy + Mada + mind gaming) - 45 Points

It’s gameday. After spending 40k on 2 manager self buys, the Mudae Mudbrays had to settle for you…a 3K OU Player that has never touched monotype in their life. First Trich comes into your channel, “Use this!”, he says. Upon further inspection, you realize he simply handed you the Gen 9 Flying Sample. Then Mind Gaming comes into your channel, “Sorry I thought you were Fogbound,” he then leaves. Then Madara comes into your channel, “This is a poison that can beat any type, practice and win”. The poison in fact has a worse matchup spread than standard poison. What we see here is a glimpse into the future of a Mudbray’s prospect, thrown into the fires of a team with highly competitive managers. The Mudae Mudbrays are a team that composes well known players and managers, but despite high qualifying scores, is held back by a lack of expectation for team synergy and general good vibes. This score is partly an expectation of the managers in question, but also displays a forecast into the Mudbray’s draft predictions. These are managers who would pick anyone just for the chance at a cheap player with a decent record. Players who say nothing and even leave the cord? The ICBB player with an inexhaustibly bad forum presence? Former TLs who’ve since become eternally banned from managing? All up for grabs should the Mudbrays have the budget. Some would say this team would be guaranteed to qualify, but this is by no means a “power of friendship” team and, should you happen to land on it, be ready to lose some hair and hear some, er… “words of advice” after a poorly played game. I’ll also say, super underwhelming Team Name. There’s literally no way to make the mudbrays into a cool custom avatar + the pun with mudae is very weak.

7. Subspace Porygons - zIcarus + Ringmaster Uta + cpt.kraken - 45 Points

Just as MWP is a place where up and coming players aim to prove themselves, so too is it a place where managers who’ve proven themselves in smaller team tours aim to showcase themselves at the highest level. The question that the Subspace Porygons have us asking is not whether they’ll win the tournament, but rather, will they be a competitive team at all? UTA, to his credit, managed the Bolt Beak Blizzards in MFPLII which led the group stage and came second overall in the tournament. In addition to this, both Uta and kraken have proven themselves in multiple individual’s tournaments for SV, with UTA managing to qualify for Swiss playoffs at only week 6. Icarus on the other hand showcased himself in MPL XI with a 6-1 ORAS record. These feats, however, are all undermined by just about everything else we can see from their tournament runs. Uta went 1-2 in MPL XI, and 0-1 in last year's MWP, kraken went 0-4 in MPL XI for SV and 0-5 when he put his hand in BW for farmer’s league. Even zIcarus’s skill level is called into question when you realize he had a 1-6 SV performance in MFPL II. To put this all in perspective, the combined record of these guys in SV from MFPL II, MPL XI, and MWP VI is 2-13. HOLY SHIT. I do expect these guys will try and put in the work with a thought out plan for draft, a friendly cord environment, and the best support that they can offer. One does have to call into question, however, the quality of support of a manager trio that were 2/3s 3K buys at the last MPL, and all together cost less than even a single manager self-buy.

Just stopping by to say im not trying to price fix or pull some nonsense but since there isn't a space for potential activity issues i figured putting it here would be best with regard to my signup. Hello managers, I think most of you don't know me as I play mostly rands and ru but I'm a good clicker :
- Top 1 90+ gxe in ru
- played in a lot of pls (rupl, umpl, pmpl etc)
- went 4-3 in rbtt, qualified for circuit playoffs 2 years in a row. I also made finals of the gen5 open this year
- I learned how to make cookies a few days ago

Despite being ranked near bottom in the esteemed Unofficial Manager PR, Mudaes have found themselves at the top of the MWP VII Power Rankings, perhaps to the surprise of absolutely nobody at all. If we're being completely honest with ourselves, it would take a total of 2 back to back losses for their entire team cord to be completely deleted, and frankly speaking I'd be shocked if Fogbound even stayed in the cord that long. That being said, when it comes to quality of player this is without a doubt the most intimidating of rosters. While some may question why Trich didn't self buy considering he would've been a top player in the pool, his name alongside Mind Gaming and notorious malder AtraX Madara put together a solid backbone of support where you're guaranteed to get passed flying samples from Trich, and perhaps more off meta builds from Mada and MG. The mudaes started off a leg ahead in the draft as they capitalized on their ability to self buy Mind Gaming and retain Fogbound to catch the #3 and #6 players in the SV pool at a discount price. They then decided to further their SV prowress by targeting the loli avatar faction, scoring Dieu Amphibien at 20K who managed to achieve #2 in SV rankings despite only knowing how to use 3 types. The notorious Dieu-Fraol duo is then fully realized as the mudaes round out their french core with Fraoliain coming in ranked 8/32. This insane SV Core is furthered by somehow getting the #1 picks in Gen 8 and Gen 7, with Gondra and Spitfire Arcanine respectfully, whereas QWILY holds down the gen 5 slot. Despite having an overall successful draft, it's clear where the Mudae's had reached bankruptcy in the draft, as the final slots of their lineup are filled in with comparatively low rep clickers. AgencyisOwn, coming second to last in the Threat rankings, is realistically being waterboarded as we speak for losing to timer. The last two slots are filled out with NoName6293, who struggles to stand out in what’s looking to be an extremely competitive ORAS pool this year, and Rowlet69420 who we half expect was picked solely for the numbers in his name. While the lineup largely consists of players who will need teams passed, the support is there, and it seems pretty apparent the draft goals of the mudaes came to fruition as they take #1 overall in this year's PR.

The Northern Veils are an inspiring story, after the token Seo and twinkay team just barely missed the playoffs in the previous iteration of MWP, they went and won their second MFPL ring. They kept the MFPL spirit up in MWP, as the lower end of their team may very much be involved after deciding to draft a team of ICBBs (but not the team) with clown Seo leading the troupe. Leading off the core of their SV is Chaitanya ranked #5 in the pool, one of the greatest Monotype players addressing the ever looming washed goat allegations. Vodoom and twinkay round out that core on paper at #9 and #12 respectively. Vodoom also may be facing a chip on his shoulder coming off a stint in MFPL with a 3-2 record after not playing a Monotype team tour since MPL 2024. Tarre25 rounds out that core to the great despair of those who must schedule with him, and it remains to see what weeks he won’t be on vacation. The leader of the Pawniards, and third manager himself Tenebricite comes in at the middle of the SS pool in #4 and should be able to put up some numbers there undoubtedly. In SM they have Sabella, ranked at #2 in the pool not taking into account some of the potential activity issues they had mentioned before the draft. Nonetheless, when Sabella is in action the SM slot is in safe hands, not to mention DAHLI who has taken BW Monotype by storm and was unanimously voted rank #1 in the pool. To keep these characters in check, Seo took it upon himself to draft feen in ORAS. He ended up being ranked #5 in the pool, and it remains to be seen if unc still has it. It also remains to be seen if feen is in the server considering his senior staff position, I don’t know if they would take that risk. In NatDex they have Leoripolux, a proven clicker in many of other tiers, and definitely has the potential to outplay his #7 rank in the pool. Rounding out in Monothreat, is zugubu royale. After being unbanned earlier this year, it remains to be seen what they will be able to pull off in their first Monotype tour back in Threat. Nonetheless, he is ranked at #3 and has the potential to be even better come the end of the season. All in all, the Northern Veils sit near the top of the mountain and their biggest threat could very well prove to be themselves.

Jahkem is back after a disappointing MPL outting, and this time with Cow. Joining them is 1 True Lycan? Lycan was roped back into Monotype and will be heavily relied upon to put up a good outting in ORAS, like everyone expects them to. Joining Lycan at the top of the mountain will be two big buys in Fusien, the OST winner this year and an impressive 6-2 record in MPL. Joining them is resident VGC main MDB2, widely regarded as one of the best overall Pokemon players, having both results in VGC and Singles coming out to play some Monotype. MDB2 will be highly relied upon to put up a good outting in SS. The problem comes in with the rest of their lineup, sure they have killers in Threat with Ewin, and NatDex with Fixzation, and Rinda in SV. It leaves holes in not their skill we know is there, but their support for these great players, with Tier Leader Rio Vidal and Rinda being heavily relied upon to give high level support to both SV and Michael down in SS, as well as Ewin in threat. Eternal Spirit will be leading the SM charge, but will likely need support to get acclimated with limited support to go around. Perhaps the slot they can rely on upon for support will be nomadderwhat ranked at sixth, not taking into account one of the best BW players around, Cow to help out. All the pieces are in place for this team to make waves, but the lack of support to go around for their non mainers of Monotype is a question mark that will surely have to be addressed as the season goes on. That being said, the pure firepower of this roster is not to go unrecognized, as they are comfortably ranked third as a team, and as the players get more acclimated with their slots, could only be scarier each week.
5. :minun: Mt. Battle Minuns - 45 points

Tied for 4th in Power Rankings are the Mt. Battle Minuns in what is MWP VII’s established power of friendship team, Crash and Piper have won major Mono Tours before and their dark horse roster comes with a promise of repeating that success. Can they do it? The team’s SV lineup comes with some very well established players, with Shiba, Masskeau, and Yedla ranking in PRs 10, 11, and respectfully. All of whom are solid players, but still will need to prove themselves in one way or another. Shiba, for one, is an unc that constantly undergoes “washed” allegations. Yedla and Masskeau on the other hand are still proving their consistency in achieving solid records in team tours as despite solid individual’s runs and known clout for their skill level, Yedla’s remarkable 5-2 MPL run is contrasted with a 2-5 record in MWP, whereas Masskeau has kept a pretty 1:1 win/loss over the course of his mono tour appearances. The SV lineup is all pulled together by RoyalReloaded, who for one reason or another found himself near the bottom of Power Rankings. Solid enough to guarantee he’ll be drafted, but has so far not proven himself to be a dominating player. Where the minuns perhaps best stand out, however, are in their old gens and the phenomenal support those players get for their respective tier. CoManager Crashy is a known menace in old gens as a creative builder and solid player who famously got drafted for 35k following an unstoppable BW tour run, his consistent and continuous performances in tournaments and cups makes his #3 ranking in ORAS only showcases how tough the ORAS pool is, as nobody would for a moment overlook him in the tier. Cielau, similarly, is arguably the best frenchplayer in the tournament and just as Crashy’s #3 is a reflection of the ORAS pool, so is Cielau’s #3 ranking in SS. This solid backbone for old gens is furthered by Adjustments, who may not have the same aura as Cielau and Crash, but is still an incredibly respected player that provides a depth of support. This backbone is then further capitalized with PandaDoux and ChrisPBacon filling out the BW and ND slots respectively with solid clickers who can provide the best bang for their buck. Lastly, the minuns decided interestingly enough to opt for wildcard Ikiarihs in Threat. While ikiarihs seems to be returning from a bit of a hiatus from these big tours, and last left off with pretty dismal team tour record, his initial successes and ability to perform at the highest level best describes him as a player who’s high skill ceiling could potentially make him an absolute steal if he follows through. Overall the Minuns have an incredibly respectable lineup, where if they play to their best potential, can prove better than their Power Ranking. That is, of course, if the various uncs of this team haven’t become completely washed.

Somehow at the end of all of the Dural Madrid manager sign-up drama the trio of Ethereal Sword, Wincon, and CrossHeart emerged to manage the Corviknights of the Round Table. If the manager selection drama wasn’t enough, they specifically requested the font on their page of the spreadsheet be Comic Sans, so there’s that. Ethereal Sword is not only a wonderful father to his two children Trichotomy and Azick, but he’s an exceptionally creative builder who will be heavily relied upon for the SV slots. Wincon is also a creative builder, though most of his builds are just regular teams with a screens user glued on. He’ll also be under some pressure to perform well, as they self-bought him for a hefty price of 17.5k in order to play in SV. CrossHeart might just be along for the ride in order to make sure Wincon doesn’t go too wild, like we saw in some of the mock drafts. Considering week 1 isn’t even over and we’ve already had “The Supercell Slam” incident, he may be working overtime. Up first in SV for the Corviknights is LoSconosciuto, a very talented Random Battles player who has experience playing in Monotype tournaments. Posting an incredible 6-1 record in the most recent MPL, this is a great pickup for the Corviknights. His ability to pilot wacky teams should pair well with the support he will be receiving from his managers. Next up is Shucklegigas, a player who missed out on MPL this year but is regularly performing well in individual tournaments. He’s a versatile player who has shown success in most gens, so if things don’t go well in SV he can pivot to an older generation. Shucklegigas is a player with a lot of upside, but he was the main victim of the Supercell Slam incident, so who knows what the rest of the tournament looks like for him. Rounding out the SV slots is MemphisDepay, a newer face who has gotten quite good at a lot of tiers quite quickly. He has quite a bit of Monotype experience, from winning Tours BLT earlier this year to making a deep run in Swiss playoffs. The Corviknights have taken a bit of a gamble on their SV, trusting solid clickers who may not have as much metagame knowledge as the rest of the teams, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens here. The old gens starts out with TJ in SS who, quite frankly, got dogwalked by Cielau in his first match of the tournament. He’s been away from the Monotype scene for a bit, but he certainly has plenty of experience. It will be interesting to see how invested he is in the tournament and what the SS slot looks like as we progress. Terrors is in SM, an older face who has recently returned to the Monotype community, making his first tournament appearance in a while earlier this year in MPL where he finished 3-5. Not great, but he is a very experienced player who might’ve been shaking off some rust. He has a lot of upside, but has it been too long and there have been too many meta developments since he was last super active? Who knows. Another unc occupies the ORAS slot, Bitana. This is his first Monotype tournament in several years, so like terrors earlier this year, he has a bit of rust to get rid of. He has an overall record of 19-13 (14 losses after this week 1) but if he can manage to put up a solid performance, that will go a long way. In BW is Meta, the first overall pick of the tournament. He and Shiraiki both agreed to sign up together, and despite their teams playing week 1, they didn’t play each other. So, who knows if both of them are gonna quit on their team because they’re furious at the managers for denying them of their epic showdown. They absolutely nailed the NatDex slot by getting Sunnyboi0, long time NatDex community member and solid tournament player. If anyone in the tournament has a good grasp on the meta, it’ll be him. Being one of the only Monotype regulars in the slot, he’ll be expected to pull some weight for sure. Lastly for the main lineup we have Jolly Togekiss in Threat. It’ll be extremely fun to see what funny techniques they come up with in this slot, and JT is a solid pilot, so I expect good things here.

The Spirits have experienced managers hex, boomp and style.css who altogether have great knowledge in almost every tier. All of them have proven to be great teambuilders, and their personalities mesh well? for the most part? We can see boomp being the good cop who has good sportsmanship and brings kindess to the team, hex who finds a way to complain about every minor inconvenience in battles and style.css who will suggest dragon every week. In SV they have Scarfire, who has been a wellknown builder for a long time but hasn't touched tournament games in a hot minute, negative nancy over here should be just fine not only holding down his own slot, but all SV slots with his 3 builds. crow crumbs is running it back with hex, they have been quite consistent in MPL and are a good clicker, its definitely a shock to a lot of us with the 8th rank but he will for sure prove that wrong. Certified yapper LBN was retained for 10k and has joined monotype tournaments for quite some time and is a great clicker, just needs to talk less and play more. Axzel is a tournament player who is fairly new to monotype, and only time will tell how well his records in other tournaments translate to monotype. In SS and SM they have Stareal and Larry respectively, both of which have proven to be great players in other tiers, and although Larry played in SV a few times, they are quite new to their respective tiers. With DugZa and manager support, they will be sure to thrive only if they don't say gg 30 turns early and get subbed out before the week even starts. In ORAS they have DugZa, who generally likes to linger around the SS/SM slots, so this must be a nice change for him, with his experience there is no doubt why he was ranked #1. Although the community is for sure wondering if he will be losing to Shiba in this slot this year, or moving to another slot to redeem himself from last years beat down. Smogons latest act fisher avarice's record in monotype has always been a roller coaster, he either has a great record or a lackluster record, but has always been good at BW. Monotype. In NatDex and Monothreat, they have sealoo and TKC who are both great players, but it is their first time playing these tiers in monotype tournaments but i'm sure with style.css support, he will be providing stellar teams in both of those slots. Overall, this team found theirself in the middle of the pack when it comes to rankings, it all depends on if hex / DugZa have the same motivation after coming off a MPL win or not.

The Bellibolts have a manager trio made up of reused-teams provider Isza, washed Attribute, and Azick, who somehow has beef with half the community, including Isza… until now? Isza has a lot of experience managing solid teams, even though he just drafts whichever jerk he happens to hop into that year. He’s a vibe in the chat and always a great manager. Attribute hasn’t touched Monotype in a very long time, but he still has a good general understanding of old gens and is definitely the main support in BW. Azick being ranked #1 might be a shock to most since he only uses like two and a half types, but he’s come a long way from his TheAce22 days and has developed a strong feel for SV.Their draft is a group of friends who randomly formed out of the blue and all share a common liking for… nothing? None of their old-gen players (Hacker, emforbes, zS, and tier) have much experience in their respective tiers. Even though they’re well-known players outside the Monotype community, it’ll be interesting to see which outdated 2017 sets Isza hands them week by week, then Attribute edits them 15 minutes before the game. The Strap has gotten good results in ND Monotype before, and Isza will surely support this slot heavily with all his experience. Xrn is a draft player, specifically a doubles draft player, so he at least has an idea of decent sets to run in Monothreat, but only time will tell how well those two worlds overlap. Their SV lineup looks clean (haha, get it?), with Neko and Azick carrying in prep, while hellom and clean are both solid loaders. And if anyone messes up, they have ten whole other users sitting on the bench. At least their team chat will be full of vibes and fun, even though they probably didn’t even make a new server for this tournament and just used their jerk’s Discord.

The Porygons spent 40k on 2 SV players, so surely you would be shocked to see them ranked dead last in SV and overall. You then check to see those two players are the managers who ended up ranked 26th and 28th respectively. Choco and Wyvern are both uncs who have been playing this game for a long time now, and have a good sense of how SV rolls, however their managers are zoomers who joined the community like 32 minutes ago. Nonetheless, Uta and cpt.kraken are very dedicated, fun and great people to have around and they will hype up the chat without a doubt. You would hope they saved some money to bolster up their oldgens, but unfortunately they rank dead last in every single one. In SS they have Sagazinha, who had a stellar undefeated record in SV in MFPL, but will this translate over to SS? The team doesn't seem to have the best of support in this slot. In SM they have Showl, who also went undefeated in MFPL, Showl is a dedicated user and awesome chat presence. 8th rank may be a surprise for a lot, but it is just a matter of time where Showl breaks through and proves everyone wrong. Seems like Porygons just drafted their MFPL team because believe it or not, Ineros was also on their Bolt breaks team, who had an average record in ORAS but is a good player overall, with Icarus, Wyv and Choco support they should be fine in this slot. In BW they have Trouser Snakes, who tends to be slotted in BW often but tends to make questionable plays and bring random teams from time to time. TTK has been a consistent NatDex user for a while now and has a great feel for the tier, and surely had this slot on lock in both the builder and in game. Their star player, which was somehow 11k, is their monothreat slot Gelbel3c, who continuously brings unique sets to monothreat and is always motivated to help with BW as well. Overall despite the lack of experience, managing and financial management, this chat is probably one of the better team environments, and maybe with the power of friendship on their side they might surprise us all.
