After a lot of back and forth with trying to build a very good Mmaw team, I decided to finish the build officially with this. It has proved itself countless times on the ladder for me. This is not my first time posting the team in here but I deleted my last post.

The team is centered around making Mega Mawile Thrive in natdex, I truly believe this team has hit that mark. Mmaw shines really well on this team paired with a very slow ev spread lando given to me by the NDOU core and after a long back and forth in my head I decided to put choiceband back on Zamazenta as it allows Zama to hit like a truck. Ferro and AV mola have proved themselves to be a super strong defensive core that play nicely alongside my offensive core. I was skeptical at first to try AV mola but I'm glad I did. Overall, I hope to see others using my Mmaw team on the ladder and am looking forward to both positive and negative feedback. I did forgot to mention but Landorus is slower then Rbolt on this team paste so playing around bolt can be a issue at times under the sun. I just don't know how to fix that minor issue as I was told to use a slow lando by the NDOU cord. That is the only thing I feel that this team lacks. Anyways Happy Laddering and Happy Life!- Strafepattern/E https://pokepast.es/731f603006c8d729

If you need to check my Elo via this team look up fmnl I have multiple alts on showdown.

Playing and managing in NatDex tours this year was a lot of fun. There were some highs. Some Lows. But through it all, I learned a lot about myself as a person through how I built and played, along with how I reacted to wanting to improve at both the game and at controlling my emotions. I’m still learning how to play mons; I feel like I am a player worthy of facing against the best opponents that have come my way, but I still have a long way to go as was seen in my HORRENDOUSLY played seasonal game today. I will keep improving, all of you watch.

Shoutouts to Lameflame , Iride , Sputnik , and nongyboii5000 for multiple things. All of you are my best friends on this site and have helped me through so many trials and failures that I can’t thank you enough, and of course helping me build, prep, and motivate me for whatever games I had. Also big shoutouts to Ch0ppas who constantly tested with me nearly every time I needed to see if a team was ass or not lol, you have a lot of potential to do big things in ND.

I’ll see you all in Circuit Playoffs and NDCL, coming back stronger than before.

I haven't been playing natdex ou much recently so I thought I'd make a post about some cute lil teams I made. I will probably yap so mb in advance. Click sprites for paste.

1900s teams
Teary-Eyed-1.pngJoyous-1.pngNormal-4.pngShouting.pngSpecial3.pngAngry-1.png
Banded Urshifu + Future Sight is a very good and very brainless combo. I added Mola to make it even more brainless. Wish support also makes pagos and tankchomp very reliable. Meowscarada is a remnant from when Roaring Moon was allowed, but Its still good and it gives the team knock off.

I would describe this team as consistent, you don't really have to risk anything. This team is for when you want to play like a bot. This team is kinda weak to MIR ghold, but as long as you keep pagos alive you can trade for it pretty well. Also Kyurem is mad annoying but its manageable if you don't give it a lot of free turns. Also if there is a scizor you have to keep pagos healthy or you won't be able to kill it.
TLDR; No skill needed
Normal.pngDetermined.pngJoyous.pngCrying.pngSurprised.pngNormal-3.png
The concept for this team was basically Band Urshifu but with a stronger future sight. I ended up using Iron Crown because it has good defensive utility with assault vest and it also has volt switch to pivot. I added mola because her body is tea and also she is a blanket physical check that makes up for no fighting and ground resist. Ting-lu and Fat Bolt make the team surprisingly resilient. HJK Ace gives a second fighting + fsight combo and it catches stuff like heatran off guard.

The team is pretty easy and fun to play, just spam volt turn until you create an opening to attack. The biggest tip is to be a boss not a mouse lol, make tough calls and get turns right. If you give up momentum you will probably lose. The biggest weakness of this team is the lack of speed and no fighting or ground resist. Lowkey just outplay tho. Mola beats grounds and most fightings, and you can just tank most of the faster mons. You auto lose to id zama tho unless your opponent is trash.
TLDR; spam future sight and don't be a bot

It's stall, nothing to explain really

I really wanted to use Tinkaton, and I also wanted a team that looked aesthetically pleasing. I used ol reliable glisc+mola to create a defensive core with Tink. Kyulop is a simple and self sustaining offensive core that also looks good with the rest of the team. Finally Pagos is hazard control and it gives necessary type coverage.

For this team just play like a bot and spam hazards and toxic until you can bring in kyurem or lopunny to do some damage. Also don't be afraid to fish for a freeze with kyurem. if you can spam ice moves you are in a good position. Fairly noskill team, just activate your braincells a tad bit and keep hazards off for kyu. This team is 6-0ed by ID zama so just click x lowkey.
TLDR; hazard stack and fish for a freeze
Special0.pngInspired.pngHappy.pngSurprised.pngSigh.pngPain.png
I LOVE ORTHWORM. I wanted to build around it since it seemed like the perfect kyurem check. it also walls all of the ground types in the tier except the rare cc tusk. It's even solid into things like hatterene, dnite and diancie. While it sounds great in theory, in practice it has no reliable recovery, it's weak to hazards, and it has a tendency to be useless for most of the game. Mola was a requirement to keep it healthy. Amoongus was the obligatory wellspring check, and it also creates a triple regen core with mola and torn that helps a lot vs defensive teams. sleep is also broken and can create opportunities to heal other guys with mola or just get a free switch. Torn is the defogger and knock user. Garg is the rocker, and also a great special wall that forces a lot of switches with salt cure. Finally, Victini is the gholdengo check. To the untrained eye, this makes no sense, and that is true. but I liked using it and it helped vs things like scizor and iron valiant.

Play this team like a semi-stall. Only use this for fun because its not that good (wow so suprising). This team is super weak to electric, like overly weak so just be careful. Ghold is also a big issue if you play to passive. Also hazards can make you really weak to special attackers like diancie because garg can't use boots.
TLDR; Worm semistall
Angry.pngInspired.pngPain.pngNormal.pngHappy.pngCrying.png
Boomburst is really strong, even from Little ol Chatot. With hazards, there is very little that wants to switch into chatot besides ghost types. Chatot is also pitifully frail and not that fast so in 90% of games its kinda ass, but those 10% are the best games in the world. Kingambit is the pursuit trapper that enables chatot. If you win the right 50/50s you can nearly auto win some games. AV allows it to check some special attackers and gives it more opportunities early game to find a target. Gliscor is just a good pokemon, and spikes support helps chatot a lot. It also has such good survivability that it makes up for being essentially 5-6 on preview a lot of games. Tangrowth is a physical tank that beats wellspring and scizor with hp fire. Sleep also gives chatot more opportunities to switch in. Tangrowth is not that good a pokemon but it fits this specific role well. Iron Treads is the hazard control, and it also lures flyings in with icium z so we can actually make progress with hazards. Finally, Latios is a zard y switch in that also has a lot of offensive pressure. It shares checks with chatot, so they can break for each other.

This team is very matchup fishy, but gliscor and latios have a wide variety of good matchups that make up for some questionable mons. This team is very weak to kyurem but what team isn't so just outplay.
TLDR; Chat to her

The idea came to me in a vision, "I need a pokemon to trap stupid Mola". Thus, I found Lapras. I made lapras a trapping set so it could beat mola. It also beats a lot of other defensive pokemon without pivoting moves. Sub Lapras is suprisingly annoying to break, and with max max it tanks a lot of stuff it really shouldn't, like ogerpon power whip. I made a stall team around it and put clefable both as a knock absorber and also a late game win condition. I used knock instead of flame because I needed it more to break slower teams and I could deal with steels another way. Ting-Lu is a great special wall, I made it rest talk to better handle gholdengo and other stuff. I made garg the rocker because I didn't need the extra move slots on it. Garg is a great guy and salt cure is a bs move that is super annoying and is free progress. Dragonite is the wellspring and zard y check all in one. DWB beats wellspring, rock slide beats zard y and flame beats scizor and other steels. This is probably the stupidest Dnite set ever but it works extremely well for what it needs to do. Corv is just a no nonsense defogger and a secondary win condition. It also beats setup physical attackers like gambit and dnite.

This is one of my favorite teams to play, it is surprisingly good, and Lapras is super fun to use. This is one of those stall teams that seems like it would be ass, but it secretly walls everything it needs to. This team is probably slightly weak to kyurem, but cm clef can mostly handle it. Future sight + urshifu, well idk but banded is not that common for some reason so you should be fine on ladder. make sure to keep hazards off when you need to use lapras, but as long as there isn't spikes and rocks you can kinda get away with leaving them up.
TLDR; Lapras is the goat stallbreaker

This year was pretty hectic for me, and I only ended up playing gen 9 natdex in Ladder Tour and Last Chance. Next year I'm locking in and I won't miss every single tour sign up. For now though I'm just gonna load these trash teams and chill. Thats all, bye bye

Well, since both my tournament runs (apart from Circuit Playoffs) are over, I thought it'd be fun to do a small team dump. Playing in the Seasonals/Last Chance was an amazing experience and I would totally do this all over again!

Chaos King: :kingambit: :iron valiant: :slowbro: :raging bolt: :iron treads: :charizard mega y:
(also a sample submission)
This team needs no introduction. But if you want to read up on it then check out the year old RMT. It's basically my signature at this point, and I've used it so many times. It's your standard Kingambit + Charizard Y Sun along with a Slowbro & Treads core. It's so well known to the point where I was often convinced that bringing it in the final rounds was the last thing my opponents would ever expect. It's a consistent team that I would often load when I wanted to use something I could reliably pilot. It has won a lot of the games I've brought it to, even up to the final rounds where I was sure that my opponents knew what was in store.

Black Knife: :aegislash: :alomomola: :zamazenta: :dragonite: :tapu lele: :landorus therian:
Another team I knew I could fall back on whenever I needed a consistent load. This is probably my second most popular team along with Chaos King, and I've used it many times during my tournament runs. Ghost Z Aegislash has some phenomenal breaking power with it's mixed coverage, and Alomomola is just there to do Alomomola things and Wish support. This team is supposed to hold up against lots of bulkier teams and slowly piece them apart, while still having the firepower and defenses to deal with faster opponents. There's an RMT on this one too that goes pretty deep into the team's design if you want to read up on that.

Chaos King Fake Out: :kingambit: :iron valiant: :slowbro: :raging bolt: :iron treads: :charizard mega x:
I originally planned to load this against Ineros, but I chickened out at the last moment and loaded something different (and it didn't win). Then my set against Mollymiltoast came up in Last Chance and I had the potential to do the funniest thing... I loaded the original Chaos King in games 1 and 2, but on game 3 I loaded this for some psychological torture, and I won with it. It was the most stupid and most hilarious plan I've ever had. This is a complete mix-up on the original sets, so if my opponent scouted Chaos King then I was expecting them to get thrown off by the curveball sets. Miraculously, it actually worked out and I won the match. Ironically, I felt what it was to be on the receiving end of this type of "fake out team" strategy when Spy1198 brought physical offensive Flare Blitz Moltres and sniped my Gholdengo.

Unnamed Electric Z Gholdengo Team: :gholdengo: :volcarona: :slowbro: :ting lu: :zamazenta: :zapdos:
Electric Z Gholdengo, the ultimate AV Alomomola killer. Whenever I see that my opponent often loads AV Alomomola, I try to counterteam them with this. Electric Z Gholdengo paves the way for Volcarona and the team's other attackers to win the game by sniping Alomomola with a +2 Z Thunderbolt. I never actually got to show it off myself, but Ineros used this set in his game vs Genesis and it did exactly what it was supposed to by OHKOing an Alomomola expecting to live whatever Gholdengo threw at it. Volcarona also has Hidden Power Rock to keep its momentum vs Moltres who seems to be its most common counter right now.

Five Turns in Trick Room: :hatterene: :cresselia: :porygon2: :ursaluna: :mawile mega: :marowak alola:
Huge credit to Bitana for this AMAZING Trick Room team. They have an RMT on it right here. So far, it has won every single game I've used it in. This might just be the pinnacle of Trick Room teams as a whole. Whenever I felt like trying to snatch a win, or had a hunch that my opponent might try to load some sort of HO then I would bust this team out and try to countersnipe them. It's so fun to play, and quite effective to use. If anyone asked for a Trick Room team this is the team I would point them to.

[[BIG SHOT]]: :tapu lele: :gholdengo: :armarouge: :garchomp: :zamazenta: :zapdos:
This is an experimental Psychic Terrain offense team that I mustered up the courage to bring vs Iride in Last Chance. It loaded into rain, and despite having no water resist, it somehow won! This team is honestly still in the works, but I felt as though it was effective enough at this state to be brought to tournament play. It's definitely a matchup fishy team, but that is how Psychic Terrain teams tend to work by nature. Armarouge is a Pokemon that I think has pretty great potential. I've been trying to push it's limits and I am getting promising results, once I find something I'm happy with, you'll probably see an RMT in the future.

[[BIG SHOT SCREENS]]: :grimmsnarl::pinsir mega: :samurott hisui: :armarouge: :great tusk: :dragonite:
A team infamously weak to Diancie, and the one time I loaded this team, it ran into Diancie. You can guess how that turned out. While I do like the structure I had before, I definitely have to patch the weakness I have to Diancie, since it's not a pretty matchup whatsoever. Despite that, Pinsir and Armarouge under screens can pack some serious firepower, I definitely plan to experiment with Pinsir more often, I think it's pretty good.

Electric Z Valiant: :tapu koko: :alomomola: :venusaur mega: :landorus therian: :iron valiant: :cinderace:
Shoutouts to YaVR_1 for designing this team! While it didn't win (Ineros was just that guy and called the Electric Z by going Clodsire like a boss), it was still pretty effective in practice. Z Valiant under Electric Terrain is incredibly fun to pilot, and Court Change Cinderace is still one of my favorite hazard removal options because of how silly it is.

And that's all for my small team dump! While I didn't reveal everything I used (some things are best kept secret, for better or for worse), I thought it would be fun to document my thoughts on many of the things I've used thus far.

I'll be seeing you all in Circuit Playoffs :pmd/ariados:

The one thing I dont like of this post is how you force me to go light mode in order to read it. Otherwise, solid post.

Greetings, Natdexers, I want to do a bit of a team dump today. I made it all the way to top 16 in the National Dex Last Chance tournament using these teams, of which I feel pretty satisfied with my results overall. So here they are:

https://pokepast.es/ba2674ff4d0b2150

If you know anything about me, is that I infamous for using Scovillain of all mons, so of course, I had to run a team for this tour. This team performed decently on the tour, going 2-1 overall, only losing to a Ceruledge Sun team that is running around atm. The goal of rhis one is to aim to maintain pressure on the enemy team, and plays sort of like a VoltTurn amongs 4 of its members, which can allow free switchins for Scovillain to wreck havoc. Great Tusk was probably my favorite tect in the entire team, as it can pivot thanks to Eject Pack, forcing it to switchout after using either Close Combat or Headlong Rush. Victini came in clutch as well, forcing mons like Mega Latios out while having solid utility between Uturn, Trick and Final Gambit. Raging Bolt has Weather Ball for hitting mons like Ferrothorn and Iron Treads, which would otherwise be good switchins. Corviknight was invested to be more specially defensive to tank hits from Tapu Lele and Mega Latios, of which thid team can struggle against. I am overall very proud if this one, I always wanted to make Scocillain work in a tournament setting, and I finally did accomplished my goal with him, in fact, I would even consider this a signature team, and if possible, one I would love to submit to samples. (Put Scovillain on C- in the VR please :3)

This team originated by trying to help a new player with a team that he built (unfortunately, I dont remember his name :sob:) and built him this team as a way to improve his original team. However, I decided to test it out on ladder and friends, and ended up really liking it. The Kommo-O set was actually originally from him, and I didnt touch it, and it is quite a solid set when playing on ladder. Unfortunately, Kommo O itself didnt perform too well, but I do still believe for it to be an excellent mon this team regardless, as it is a soft check to otherwise irritating mons like Mega Charizard Y and non Play Rough Ogerpon Wellspring. Choice Scarf Gholdengo was also quite solid, as this alongside Hatterene allowed me to beat a stall team by tricking the Choice Scarf to a Blissey, letting Hatterene setup and sweep the team. The rest of the team is quite straightforward, defensive Landorus Therian, Calm Mind Hatterene, Rapid Spin Terapagos and Swords Dance Mega Scizor. I think this one id team with a ton of potential and hopefully people enjoy it as much as I did. Another team I would like to submit for samples.

This one might look rather odd, and it kinda is, but this one was meant to be used as a counter team to the Ceruledge team that my Scovillain team lost to, this time facing Lightniong . This team was made by kidd0s , and altough I didnt faced that sun team with this team, it did still won me the game against a Specs Kyurem + Glowking team. I only used it once in the whole tourney, but it did its job, and that's all that matters.

This was meant to be used as another counter team, this time against doso749 , of which sadly didnt worked out. I was aiming to use Skeledirge as a hard counter to Volcarona, with the rest of the team being bulky enough to hold its ground against most sweepers. Sadly, he didnt brought Volcarona, and the team did lose the first round.

Why are we uploading a team thats already featured on the main website?

Greetings friends - sharing some teams of variable quality from seasonal and beyond. Some are clearly just for fun, others you may recognize from my ndpl/ssnl games.

:diancie-mega::tornadus-therian::gholdengo::garchomp::alomomola::kyurem:

:torkoal::charizard-mega-x::gholdengo::landorus-therian::raging-bolt::venusaur:
A special word on this team - I built this myself as a balance counterteam going into my ndlt series with Kayzn, and ironically the game it was built for was the only game it lost (I never lost with it once in ssnl). I submitted this as a sample even though most of what I build isn't really sample-friendly material since the lines play very linearly and I think it's a good representation (along with shuzoku's take) on what full sun could look like in the current meta. You also have very reasonable counterplay into HO, you should shred apart common balance cores, and if you trade properly with Xard and preserve Bolt + Venu with proper sequencing you can outmaneuver stall as well. You can probably make small changes to certain sets but you do so at your peril - I saw a few drop weather ball for earth power on venu, or tbolt > wball on bolt, but you'll struggle a bit more with steels and whatnot. Ghold is probably the most customizable on this build but people spam urshifu against me, hence this set which always avoids a 2hko from surging strikes, and Torkoal can be wisp/body press. This team is meant to win in 20-40 turns at most, play it aggressively and have fun.

You all know exactly who you are, but I'm beyond appreciative of everyone who tested with me for seasonal and ndpl, even when it was late (sometimes very late and the only availability I had), supporting and vetoing my crazy building ideas whenever needed, and anyone who showed support even in the smallest of ways the past few months. None of it went unnoticed or unappreciated, especially in a year where it was admittedly demoralizing at times to see some of the negative things said about myself in various places. You guys know I will always be around to pay it forward in any way I'm needed.

Until next time.

Hello, National Dex!
Here I am with a cool team featuring an underated Pókemon (in my opinion), Tornadus-Therian! I feel like Torn-T is unaprecciated, because it can do so many useful things: tanking with Assault Vest, pivot and in this case, being a devastating sweeper!

Bildschirmfoto_30-11-2025_183222_-removebg-preview.png

NP Torn-T Balance Offence:
:Terapagos: :Urshifu-Rapid-Strike: :Ting-Lu: :Tornadus-Therian: :Pecharunt: :Diancie-Mega:

➤ Without further ado, let's look at each of the Pókemon and their roles:

:Terapagos:
Given Terapagos is the best Pókemon having Rapid Spin, an ability that is Multiscale 2.0 and a great movepool, Terapagos fits incredibly for this team. This Pókemon serves as a resort to revenge-kill set-up Pókemon sweepers. Plus a STAB 120 move is ALWAYS nice to have. As coverage, Terapagos has Flamethrower and Ice Beam. And of course, Terapagos has Rapid Spin for removing hazards for the whole team, especially Tornadus-Therian. I chose Modest because the raw power is just too good to miss.

:Urshifu-Rapid-Strike:
Here's our Choice Scarfer in Urshifu, making a great duo with Tornadus-Therian sice Tornadus-Therian can get rid of Pókemon that can be troublesom for Urshifu. Urshifu serves as the speed control, with a great attack of 130, having 2 great STAB attack in Close Combat, having Ice SDpinner as a coverage and being able to pivot out in U-Turn. Plus it's a Pókemon that Kingambit doesn't like, since Urshifu resists both of Kingambit's STAB Moves.

:Ting-Lu:
Now we are discussing our special tank in Ting-Lu, having Leftovers as a small rcovery and great stats to tank hits and an ability to contribute as well with Tablets of ruin, hindering the special attack of the opposite Pókemon. It also has Stealth rock for the opposite playfield, STAB earthquake and Ruination, a move that halves the HP of the opponent. And at last it has Whirlwind to get rid of set-up sweepers before they get out of control.

:Tornadus-Therian:
Our star is here: Tornadus-Therian. This time, it's the NASTY sweeper set with a Z-Crystal. It has, of course, Nasty Plot for sweeping and raising its special attack. For attacking moves it has STAB Bleakwind STorm (better accuracy) and Heat Wave for coverage. For making walls miserable, it has Taunt, to screw with their plans. Overall with its great speed, good special attack, being able to be boosted even further with Nasty Plot and its ability Regenerator, it has a chance to be a DEVASTATING sweeper.

:Pecharunt:
We talked about the special wall of the team, now we are talking about our phisical wall: Pecharunt! Pecharunt has an incredible defense, acceptable speed and a pivoting move in Parting Shot, lowering the attacks of the opponents. It also has a great defesive Type combo in Ghost and Poison. Outside of these Factors, it has access to STAB Malignifant Chain which has a 50% chance to badly poison the target and STAB Hex, which doubles the power if the opponent has a status.

:Diancie mega:
At last, but not least, we have our second wallbreaker, we have Diancie Mega. Diancie Mega it has incredible offensive attacks (160 attack and special attack each) and a great movepoool. In this team it serves as a MIXED wallbreaker with STAB Diamond Storm and Moonblast. For coverage it has Earth Power and Mystical Fire. Therefore the mixed EV spread makes it able to deal drastig damage to defensive and special walls.

MY GOAT

hi, I make gimmicks but a lot of people tell me the showcase gimmick pokemon in this team I'm posting is not really a gimmick but I disagree. So I was just looking on teambuilder tryna find what cool pokemon to make a coool gimmick with anddd I came across volcarona. I was just toying around with the pokemon dmg calc and seeing if physical attacking volcarona would be cool but while I was thinking about sets, I thought of that swarm z bug buzz set which a lot of people use. This got me thinking and I had a thought. What if... a different pokemon could do the same thing? So I was searching across team builder of pokemon with the abilities like torrent, overgrow, swarm, and blaze. I came across Cinderace! Cinderace is a generaly fast pokemon who hits pretty strong with his signature stab move pyro ball which is 120 bp. I then saw that in Cinderace's movepool, it learns swords dance which allows cinderace to double its atk stat. Cinderace also learns substitute to lower down its hp in order to reach blaze level aswell as to allow cinderace to set up on opponents that Cinderace force out. I thought that this set would be pretty cool but one big issue was alomomola. I then had a good idea of putting Cinderace on sun to increase damage output. I also pretty 8 defense evs to make sure that flip turn from alomomola doesnt break cinderace's substitute in the sun. This allows Cinderace to set up on mola flip turning and to become a letahl pokemon. The last thing I did with Cinderace was put firium z to allow Cinderace to get rid of more bulky threats that could be annoying. This overall allows Cinderace to ohko ALOT of pokemon. I also put high jump kick on Cinderace to get rid of pokemon who are immune/dont die to z pyro ball pokemon. The other pokemon of the team are nintales who is the sun setter who can also use fast encores, hypnosis to make some annoying pokemon sleep, mystical fire for some okay stab damage that also lowers the special attack of pokemon, and healing wish to heal up other pokemon. Another pokemon is landorus-t who is mainly on this team to be a defensive pivot who can also defog hazards away and is also a ground immunity. I also have weather ball on him because why not? The next pokemon on the team is av alomomola who is meant to be my special defensive tank who checks common special attackers such as tapu lele, mega charizard-y, mega-latios, volcarona, and more! The next pokemon on the team is Venusaur who is a good sun abuser with chlorophyl to double speed and growth to 2x special atk which can allow Venusaur to sweep entire teams under the correct conditions. The last pokemon of the team is raging bolt who is a very strong attacker on sun with his strong draco meteors and volt switches which also allow raging bolt to pivot out on pokemon who check him.

Wats up people of nat dex, i know I made some post like uh 2 days ago but today I made a team for gimmicky purposes and thought it would also just be another 1500s on ladder gimmick team like most of the other 300 other gimmick teams I have but.. this team did pretty well. Sooo my thoougt process in building this team wass uh having pelipper for setting rain as 99.99% of rain teams do aswell, uh I also wanted to implement trick room into this team anddd so I went on builder and found the water type pokemon with the highest special atk which also learns trick room.. and it was mega-slowbro!! Mega slowbro has an astounding base 130 spa and can set up trick room. He also hits extremely hard with stab surf in rain, psychic for some pretty good stab damage aswell, and slack off to be healthy :D. Mega Slowbro is also suuuuper tanky physically and I can rely on him tanky alot of physical attacking moves. The next pokemon I was thinkin was a wallbreaker who dominates in rainn and that pokemon would be Crawdaunt who is a suuuper strong pokemon on rain with his adaptibility boosted crabhammers that hit like a truck! He also gets knock off which is further boosted by adaptibility, close combat for ferrothorn, and aqua jet for priority. I gave Crawdaunt a waterium z so that crabhammer can become a nuclear bomb which I'm sure everybody loves. The next pokemon in the team I was looking for is a kyurem check sincee all rain teams dont want to get 6-0d by a dum kyurem soo i chose iron treads who hold the assault vest! Iron treads is super cool on rain when holding the assault vest and allows fire type moves to be pretty much neutral against him in the rain which is helpful. The next pokemon on the team that I was looking for is anoher trick room setter soo I thought of using Hatterene! Hatterene is a pretty strong pokemon who can set up trick room, provide magic bounce suppport to make sure hazards are not put up, and also has access to healing wish which can heal up teammates who are low. The last pokemon on this team was another pokemon who sort of like a breaker aswell but different from like a water type.. sooo I thought of using Braviary-Hisui! Braviary-Hisui has access to sheer force which pairs well with stab hurricane which is further helped by rain to not miss. I can run life orb in sheer force Braviary-hisui to make sure that hurricane does even more damage while there is no life orb recoil! Braviary-Hisui also has access to calm mind to deal more damage, psychic for more strong stab, andd vaccum wave for priority while also hitting steel or dark types in some sort of way. I tried making Braviary-Hisui the main star of the team but overall, all pokemon did extremely well.

This team was overall a success and got me to 1802 on ladder!

This is a bit of strange for ND Bazaar but I didn't want to make multiple posts. I just want to briefly offer my opinion on relevant aspects of building on both ladder and tournaments. Then I'll share some teams I've been enjoying recently. It has been a little while since I last posted anything regarding National Dex, and I'd like to share my personal opinion on the tier. First, I always believed, and still do, that this tier has so much potential to be the best and most enjoyable on the website. Especially considering how volatile the current-generation meta is, there is so much appeal to playing National Dex over other tiers. That being said, I currently find this meta boring as hell. Perhaps my recent distance from National Dex tournaments has given me a distorted picture, but I've watched various replays from NDPL and SSNL, and I'll be keeping an eye on the circuit. Ladder and Tournament usage feels very different. Both playerbases have adjusted to the meta in different ways: On the ladder, Assault Vest Alomomola has soared in usage as a response to the metagame's most volatile threats (namely Volcarona and Gholdengo). I think the key to building ladder is to being well prepared (mentally) for variations of stall (Shedinja), HO most notably Zamazenta screens is still very popular. The other HO lead you'll see a lot is Mega-Diancie. Next, I'd argue the Sun cult is stronger than stall (most certainly in usage). Trick Room is more common than you'd think. Lastly, Alomomola. It is funny to think that people shamed this set for so long but it has become one of the most prominent sets in the tier and finally surpassed Toxapex on the VR. Doesn't ladder sound fun?

The most important and relevant developments I've noticed in tournaments are Cinderace and 4a Kyurem. Cinderace in my opinion should not be running Will-O-Wisp without a scarfer (the lack of viable speed control options is a major problem in this tier). Pyro Ball and Gunk Shot are great in almost every match up, you are of course walled by Heatran (so is Will-O-Wisp) but this is a worthwhile risk in tournament (first usage when). Chili Dewd made a joke in the National Dex showdown room but I found it to be true "Base 110 speed is the new base 100". Cinderace's speed tier + Libero gives it amazing revenge killing capabilities, in conjuction with the fact Court Change is invaluable for certain teams makes this one of the most reliable pokemon in the tier. Notably outspeeding Mega-Diancie, Mega-Latios, Ogerpon, Gholdengo and checks so many other things. If you do not have a good way to punish this pokemon from clicking U-turn then it is easily one of the most frustrating pokemon to deal with. The only way to really punish Libero is Flame Body Moltres or Pursuit (Mega)Tyranitar. Will-O-Wisp is still common and a decent option to deal support your teammates by crippling road blocks but honestly to me it just feels not good enough. Kyurem, to be specific 4a is the set that sparked a lot of interest during PL. And now we've seen more people start to use it. The coverage just hits everything honestly and can force you to make trades to kill or cripple it. Most of the pokemon that can deal with this pokemon are not great switch ins Zamazenta, Superpower Ogerpon, Draco Meteor Mega-Latios, even Mega-Scizor is a bit shaky since Offensive never OHKO's with Bullet Punch. SpDef Mega-Scizor does have a chance to live Freeze Dry + HP Fire but cannot OHKO back since you're probably not Close Combat lol. This is THE threat to Balance but most teams have ways to pivot around it and abuse it's slow speed.

LO Landorus + Mega Pinsir
https://pokepast.es/d49ef4fec658e733
The star of the show is obviously :Mega-Pinsir: but really quickly I want to go over this Landorus set. It's designed to weaken checks for it's teammates. Stealth Rock could also be used as a lure to invite in Great Tusk and Boom on it. It was pretty fun to use, I hope you'll try to incorprate it into your own builds. The team itself has glaring flaws but I've stopped trying to make consistent teams or use them.

Mega-Pinsir I think is extremely underrated, it is currently UR but has amazing tools. Aerilate Quick Attack is an amazing priority option which threatens Ogerpon, Scarf Urshifu, Zamazenta to an extent and Cinderace. It has noticable flaws that requires maybe more support than it's worth but I have never seen anyone REALLY give an effort to use this. Webs is caveman thinking, we can do better. In case nobodies familiar with the calcs, they speak for itself:
