Doubles SV DUU Invitational! - Semifinals

Semifinals time! The winners will be in the money!

SPECIFIC RULES
  • This is a standard SV Doubles UU tournament
  • This tournament will be Single Elimination Format
  • Players will be eliminated once they have lost a single round.
  • Rounds will be Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown! (Main or SmogTours)
  • To encourage the development of the metagame, and so that everyone is on an even playing field, replays are required for all matches.
  • Activity calls will be made by me, potentially with neutral assistance from a Doubles OU Forum Moderator. Coin flips will be done publicly on PS!
  • In the event that something is added to or removed from the Doubles UU metagame in the middle of a round, that change will be in effect starting the next round.
  • Do not cheat. Cheating will result in a disqualification. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary. Cheating includes, but is not limited to:
    • Signing up with more than one account
    • Ghosting or being ghosted by another player (e.g. while playing a set, asking for advice about what team to bring or what plays to make)
    • Manipulating match outcomes (e.g. throwing a match in exchange for Smogon likes)
  • Do not harass or insult your opponents. I reserve the right to disqualify anyone breaking this rule. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary.

Link to the DUU Thread for more information on the tier. The winner of this tournament will win $75, and second place will earn $25, in accordance with the DUU Circuit schedule.

we have to lose a final player here! madar is a winning general of duu, and code is an excellent clicker too. I hope to see this excited tour in the final, but unfortunately, it backfired. In short, good luck!!!

2. dialgasucksnow vs 6. alcachofa14 , rooting on him to win finals too, bro is getting rng'd since the starting of year, he definitely has that potential to win the whole thing.Bro is definitely the best DUU player right now and there's not even a question. Let's fgo abuse the sand goat!!!
 
8. Code vs 4. MADARAAAA
IMO this goes either way. MADARAAAA is definitely a good player with better meta knowledge but Code isn't too far behind in my experience playing them. Will be a great series to watch for sure.

2. dialgasucksnow vs 6. alcachofa14
Call me a hater but hear me out. I feel like alcachofa's builds can get predictable; sand mostly, even if they are an amazing clicker. dialgasucksnow has also had an amazing breakout season this year and I do think they can win circuits if they really dedicate themselves. Another must watch series that can realistically go either way.
 
Code vs MADARAAAA - I am ofcourse rooting for my boy Madaraaaa here. Madaraaaa has proven himself to be an excellent Duu player in a (relatively) rather short period of time, transitioning his skills from Dou to Duu. I must admit I haven't seen too much of code, however beating a guy who is (imo) one of if not the best current gen Dou player atm, who has showed he can switch that skill to Duu without any real issues is going to be a tough bar to beat.
dialgasucksnow vs alcachofa1490 - Again im not super knowledgable on one of the players here, that being Dialga, I still feel like I can predict confidently in Alcahofa's favour. As far as im aware Alca transitioned from a Duu ladder don to a Duu tour player with a lot of succes, and im always a big believer in ladder dons.
