Description:
Priority mon. Can nuke any sweeper attempting to make a play too early with Steelworker-boosted STAB Security Gun, as well as STAB Ice Shard, can also boost the damage output of Ice Shard via Swords Dance. This is all in really has though, as it is a slow, and mildly bulky Ice-type, and while Steel does improve its defensive profile a bit, it also gives it two x4 weaknesess, and doesnt really improve its offensive matchups against other types aside from Ice.

i thought a pokemon based on the arctic cotton grass would be cool, and the cotton that alpinakea makes could realistically be used by santa to make gifts and stuff too, so i thought it would be fitting :) and as for the enlightenment stuff and the signature ability i was inspired to make something based on the north pole of inaccessibility… (also lorewise it’s also in a sub legendary group with candaleste)

competitively it’s a flying type with useful defensive utility in good defensive stats and gaining useful resists through weather (which lets it act as weather control to deal with weather abusers and is just nice to have in general), or it can also act as speed control with cotton down and its signature move to lower speed as well… although it has no boosting moves and pure flying is not amazing offensively it has great coverage and utility with defog, thunder wave, and whirlwind, so i think it’ll be pretty great as a glue mon or just to balance things out :3

The Toy-Commamder Pokémon
Name: Yoko-Yoko
Type: Psychic / Ground
Stats: 116 / 54 / 71 / 85 / 156 / 117 [598]
Ability: Steelworker | Battery | Doll Takeover - On switch in, this pokemon channels its power into the dolls across it, lowering its special defense by 1 stage, yet raising its special attack by 1.25x and turning all two turn and recharge moves into normal one turn moves without recharge.

Powder, Sleep Powder, Doom Desire, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon, Frenzy Plant Flash Cannon Future Sight, Psychic Noise, Future Sight, Iron Head, Spirit Break, Nasty Plot, Body Press, Dazzling Gleam, Focus Blast Parting Shot
Encore, Taunt, Attack Order, Defense Order, Heal Order, Psych Up, Ice Beam, Calm Mind, Thunder Wave, Spikes, Teleport, Psyshock, Earth Power, Mirror Move, Reflect Type, Surf, Blizzard, Energy Ball, Flamethrower, Protect, Substitute, Dig, Magnitude, Mud Slap, Mud Shot, Mud Sport, Meteor Beam, Aurora Beam, Fake Out, Hyper Beam, Swift, Hyper Voice, Thunderbolt, Instruct, basically anything else psychic types get. Stealth Rock.

Doll Horde - 35 BP, 100% accuracy. 12 pp. Ground type special move. The user commands dolls to fly at the target, barraging them in a flurry of attacks. Hits three times.

Description: Its commands are invigorating. When Pokemon are ordered by it, they seem stronger when following them. It can bring latent psychic energy out in all Pokemon.

It often makes toys and gadgets with clays and other materials in lairs and dens. When Yoko-Yoko commands a doll, it enlarges and comes to life, acting on its will. In stories of the past, it has been said to amass a great army of dolls it used to build cities.

Yoko-Yoko is often spotted surrounded by Impidimp and Morgrem, ordering them to do its bidding. It has often being seen making them build toys. Once enough are built, they are hauled off somewhere.

Appearance: On top of its head is a squarish dark red hat covered in snow, casting a dark shadow across its face. Their expression is serious, with a mouth closed, yet has a splotches of clay on the side of its face and neck. Two long pointy ears peak out from the sides of its hat, with a pointy nose to match.

It has a bulky black main body, yet it is covered in large amounts of stuffing, almost to make a large coat. It stands on two legs, with it being hunched over and its knees bent. In its hands are a present box and its top, with a Poké Doll floating out of it.

Generally elven in appearance, it even has long, pointy green shoes made out of grass that wrap across its legs, with the top ends of it slightly bending.

In a bandolier, it has a variety of toys attached to its chest, some made with rocks, others fully fleshed out.

Pokémon: Swadloon-Festive
EVIOLITE COMPATIBLE
Type:
BugIC_Big.png
GrassIC_Big.png

Base Stats:
55 HP / 63 Atk / 90 Def / 50 SpAtk / 80 SpDef / 42 Spe
Abilities: Social Retreat*, Slush Rush, (Hidden) Snow Cloak
Social Retreat: Bracing to socially interact with the opponent... nope, Swadloon is instead going to hide inside the fort they made on Christmas day using their present boxes. Each present has a different color, and before being attacked Swadloon will go into the box that changes their secondary type to best resist the incoming attack. Swadloon cannot become mono bug, and there is a grass type present for them to go inside of. Swadloon's form—and therefore type—changes will revert upon switching out.
Examples:
  • Incoming ghost type attack, become Bug / Normal before being hit before being hit.
  • Incoming fighting type attack, become Bug / Ghost before being hit.
  • Incoming rock attack, become Bug / Steel before being hit.
Pokédex Entries:
  • Santa Red Edition: Swadloon wraps themself in leaves for protection. It uses the two leaves atop its head to detect air movements and feel out its surroundings.
  • Pine Green Edition: Preferring dark, warm places, it spends the entire day eating milk and cookies that lie around it.
Moves:
  • SpecialIC_HGSS.png
    Ice Beam
  • PhysicalIC_HGSS.png
    U-turn, Ice Spinner, Wrap
  • StatusIC_HGSS.png
    Leech Seed, Snowscape
Additionally receives all moves which Swadloon learns.
I figured it's safe to give them U-turn, Leech Seed, and Ice Beam, even though Leavanny-Festive would receive these as well (assuming they're allowed in if Swadloon-Festive gets voted in). U-Turn is similar to Holiday Preparation which Leavanny-Festive receives, as both switch out the user. Swadloon learns Worry Seed, so I don't see why they can't learn Leech Seed as a way to make progress throughout games. Leavanny is more offensive and so wouldn't take advantage of this. Ice Beam is for flare, as both are physical attackers.

Description:
On Christmas day, I'd honestly rather be alone. I don't care to celebrate, and I hate being around my family, so being forced to celebrate around family feels like personally directed torture. Swadloon is the social anxiety Pokémon, and one that has surprisingly good stats for a not fully evolved Pokémon (they are unchanged because I want to preach the amazingness of Swadloon). Swadloon, however, is let down by their very poor defensive typing. This is when I thought about a Swadloon who can change their typing at will to best resist the opponent. Then I also remembered that there was a Leavanny submission, and that they also change types. There have also been so few bug type submissions, and I think it's really underexplored for this format. This whole thing is perfect in my eyes.

Swadloon can tank the many hits that opponents throw at them thanks to their powerful—and somewhat funny—ability: Social Retreat. They can recover with Synthesis, which although good in the sun will surely struggle with all of the snow that is going to be set in this format. Leech Seed is another way to heal and is Swadloon's main way of dealing damage, though the healing is much more passive. Swadloon can function as a defensive pivot as well with access to U-turn. There are some downsides to this absurd defensive utility that make it more balanced than at first glance. 1) Swadloon is always going to be part bug type, which is really poor defensively and can be exploited. 2) Because Swadloon is part bug, because their typing resets to Bug / Grass upon switching out, and because they really need to hold the Eviolite to survive attacks, they can't hold the Heavy-Duty boots item and are susceptible to Stealth Rock. 3) Only incoming attacks cause Swadloon to change types, meaning they can be hit my status moves like Toxic to cripple them.

Hopefully you all enjoy this final submission for Pet Mods Advent! I had a lot of fun with this event overall, and I am more than satisfied with how Swadloon-Festive came out as a capstone to my place in it.

Chansey-Appletunfan
Type: Grass
Stats: 250/5/5/35/105/50
Ability: Present Drop* Serene Grace, Healer
Added Moves: Spiky Shield, Strength Sap, Ingrain, Dig, Grab Apple (yes the chatbats one)

Description: A bundle of joy who gives out presents on Christmas. No matter how bad it feels it still always tries to do its best and make the most amount of people happy. Merry Christmas everyone, I wish you all the best time over this Christmas, even if you hate your family.
My family just had a little bit of an emergency last night, so he’s kinda low quality, not the best to end on for this series, but Im happy I played a part in it. Even if I don’t get a single Pokémon in this was a fun time.
Eviolite Compatible.
Present Drop: Each time Chansey gets switched In to battle, Sets up random 1 layer of Spikes/Toxic Spikes/Sticky Webs/Stealth Rocks.

(This will hopefully also get a redesign if it gets chosen, bit rushed)
Pokemon: Fift
Type: Flying / Normal
Base Stats: 82 HP / 53 Atk / 65 Def / 82 Spa / 110 Spd / 88 Spe - 480 BST (I'd suggest ten points into Def or HP if you think it needs buffs)
Abilities: Snow veil, Fluffy, Unaware (Hidden ability)

(This thing is the size of a small penguin btw)

Dex entry: Though adorable, these arctic birds can shriek loud enough to shatter every window in a mile radius if upset. // Flocks of Fift have been documented delivering gifts to the residents of an entire forest in a single night. The larger the number of giftees, the lower the quality of their gifts, however.

Moves:
Physical: Present, U-turn, Aerial ace, Fly, Natural gift

Special: Boomburst, Air slash, Icy wind, Ice beam, Draining kiss, Chatter, Echoed voice, Moonblast, Dazzling gleam, Hyper voice, Sparkling Aria

Status: Package, Switcheroo, Teeter dance, Roost, Helping hand, Decorate, Spikes, Encore, Fake tears, Nasty plot, Tailwind, Wide guard, Quick guard, Ally switch, Follow me, Life dew

Package: Traps the target. Two turns after, the target is forced to switch out. Package's effects dissapears when the user is switched out. (Status, Fairy, 8PP, 100% ACC)

With its bevvy of supporting options, Fift is first and foremost a doubles pokemon. That being said, instant recovery, a mean boomburst, and a few more interesting options mean it is very far from incapable at finding use in singles. Can you bring out the potential in this misschievious bird?

Upon using Trubbishite, Trubbish mega evolves into the festive...

costume19.png

Pokémon: Trubbish-Mega

Typing: Poison/Normal

Base Stats: 50 / 101 / 86 / 29 / 74 / 108 (BST: 429)

Ability: Merriness (All pokemon (including the trubbish itself) have the effects of torment inflicted on them whenever this pokemon is active, and the stats of all pokemon on the field (including trubbish) are lowered by 1 stage each (including acc, but not evasion) These stat debuffs on the opponent are removed when trubbish switches out.)

Relevant Moves: Trubbish Moveset + Ice Shard, Icicle Spear, Power Whip, Play Rough, Spirit Break, Psychic Fangs, Recover, Victory Dance, Sucker Punch, Body Slam, Double Edge, Drain Punch, Close Combat, Earthquake, Tidy Up, Christmas Party, [Celebrate, Present, Happy Hour].

Signature Move: Christmas Party
Normal Type
100 Accuracy
Physical Move
10 Base Power
Doesn't Make Contact
Hits once for every non-fainted pokemon on both teams. This hits both the opponent and the user. Every hit has a 15% chance to cause confusion, and a 50% chance to raise your attack (but not special attack). On top of this, both your team and the foe's team gain the intrepid sword 1 time per battle boost to attack. This stacks, (eg: using christmas party twice and switching in another pokemon will mean that its attack is boosted 2 stages). On top of this again, it also has a similar effect but instead with confusion once per battle for all pokemon on both teams.

Looks/Flavour: Using the power of Mega Evolution, Trubbish can now celebrate christmas happily with its friends and family. As for Garbodor... don't worry they're completely fine :D. Mega Trubbish is part normal type now, because it is now slightly less poisonous and stuff because it's all happy and merry I guess. I was thinking of like something similar to maushold with how it looks, but with trubbishes instead of mice.

Description: Pretty frail defensively, but fast with decent attack. It also gets victory dance and tidy up, both amazing set up moves, as well as some nice coverage options. Its ability and signature move are very gimmicky, although I could see the move I guess working well, as it essentially just acts as a swagger-lite for all of your pokemon, which... in some cases is a good thing. Maybe you could even use the Lum berry on one of your pokemon to bypass the confusion or something I guess? Also trubbish base form would get all the new move additions too, including the signature move. So maybe it might have some gimmicky eviolite sets? Man I just realised this thing would actually be really good if it could hold the white herb lol.

Flavor Description: Tomorrow won't be christmas for me, it will be ARM DAY. #THEGRINDNEVERSTOPS WOOOOO.
Description:
Wallbreaker. Has amazing setup tools paired with its ability like Protect and Bulk Up, allowing it to steamroll through slow teams and mons, but against faster ones, due to it's lack of speed and speed boosting, it ends up as a momentum sink at worst, as its singular STAB may make it unable to hit types it'd really wish to hit harder, even with the plethora of coverage it's got.

Total: 55
Weight: 102.5kg
Height: 1.2m
Flavor: Yule log : )

Expected Playstyle: The stats are pretty even, the movepool is alright but not great for coverage, and it isn't very fast or very slow. There's a bit of a bias towards being a special attacker, but the strongest non-Fire moves are physical. Can be fit decently well into any role on a team. (Also they may be a perfect counter to my previous submission but that was an accident more than aything)

Downsides: They have 5-6 weaknesses and 5-6 resistances/immunities with defensive stats that are good but not great, they aren't the highest in either attack stat either. They're going to be the third or fourth choice for their role at best when team building.

Problems: Christmas? More like generic winter holiday.

i’ve been wanting to submit my swan of tuonela fakemon here for a while now, so here’s to me hopefully being able to have a nice and quiet christmas day :3 the swan of tuonela is the main inspiration for tuonette but it’s also partially based on odette and odile in the swan lake ballet, and since it is a mythical pokemon i tried to tie in its dex entries to those things…

it’s not too complex competitively but it’s an excellent attacker with an amazing offensive typing and enough stats to work as a specially biased mixed attacker, its ability isn’t particularly defining or anything but i thought it fit well thematically and that the interaction with its signature move mortal dance was pretty cool… regardless i hope i did well for my last submission, i think i had lots of fun with this and i can’t wait to see the results :3

(also i composed a battle theme for tuonette too if you want to listen to it, i made it in like 3 hours so it's not like amazing or anything but i hope it's still cool :p)
