Pokemon: Mariah Carey-Deepfreeze (Mariah Carey’s base form is her default during Winter, and this form is her default outside of it. A key item can be used to swap between the two regardless of season.)
Type: Ice
Stats: 78/54/130/124/104/35 (Total: 525)
Ability: Ice Age (While on the field, the weather is Absolute Zerostorm, which functions as Hail and Snow combined and cannot be removed by other non-primal weather effects. Dragon type attacks are nullified during Absolute Zerostorm.)
Notable Moves: Ice Beam, Overdrive, Sparkling Aria, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, Parting Shot, Lovely Kiss
All Moves: Attract, Aurora Veil, Avalanche, Body Slam, Brick Break, Charm, Confide, Copycat, Counter, Covet, Curse, Double Team, Double-Edge, Drain Punch, Draining Kiss, Dynamic Punch, Echoed Voice, Encore, Endure, Energy Ball, Facade, Fake Out, Fake Tears, Fling, Focus Blast, Focus Punch, Frost Breath, Giga Impact, Grass Knot, Hail, Headbutt, Heal Bell, Helping Hand, Hyper Beam, Hyper Voice, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Lick, Mean Look, Mega Kick, Mega Punch, Metronome, Mimic, Mud-Slap, Overdrive, Parting Shot, Payback, Perish Song, Pound, Powder Snow, Protect, Psych Up, Psychic Noise, Recycle, Round, Screech, Seismic Toss, Shadow Ball, Sing, Sleep Talk, Snore, Sparkling Aria, Substitute, Swagger, Sweet Kiss, Sweet Scent, Take Down, Taunt, Thief, Thrash, Torment, Triple Axel, Uproar, Wish
Overview: While Mariah Carey is ordinarily dormant outside of the window before Christmas, this suit she stole borrowed from Mr. Freeze can allow her to function even as the temperature rises. She serves as a bulky attacker that has her offensive abilities boosted by the chip from Hail. Parting Shot technically makes her a slow bulky pivot, to boot, but she has to rely on Wish if she wants recovery and her typing leaves her particularly vulnerable to Fire moves, especially on the Special side.

Status.png
Acid Armor, Aromatherapy, Calm Mind, Encore, Haze, Recover, Teleport, Wish

Flavour: ice cream?
Explanation: Leverages its impressive bulk to fire off big STABs and nab CM boosts. Abils and typing give some value to pre-Mega.

“Having once died out in ancient times, the flowers that suddenly bloomed on it harbor incredible and immense power. However, this Wreith often releases powerful beams of life energy from its flowers because it is unable to contain this pristine power flowing inside its body…”

since Affles (:3) made a fakemon forme of one of mine i also wanted to make one for them, so here is a wreith infused with pure life energy from Ange itself :3 i gave it a small stat buff to match eternal floette’s BST and made it more specially defensive in comparison to regular wreith which is physically defensive… it has plenty of utility options to choose from like toxic spikes, stun spore, and clear smog, and it can also be a pretty scary nasty plot attacker with a stab 140 bp light of ruin, but it’s limited to relying on its ability or the unreliable leech seed or pain split to heal itself because of its lack of a healing move…

Name: Grimocarol - Sundown Serenade
Type: Dark/Ghost
Stats: 80/110/60/115/60/75 [500] [100 KG]
Ability: Silent Night
Upon being placed on the field, sets up Midnight.

All Dark types receive a 1.5x speed boost while under Midnight.

Dark and Ghost type moves at 60 base power or less receive +1 priority. Does stack on priority moves. (Shadow Sneak becomes +2.)

Weather ball becomes a Fairy type 100 BP move.
Moonlight heals for 2/3rds, synthesis heals for 1/3rd.

Phantom Force hits on the first turn and deals 1.3x more damage.

All Ghost types heal 1/16th of their HP while under Midnight. (“[Insert Name] replenished under the darkness!”)

Lasts five turns like normal weathers, can be increased by the new item “Moonstone”, increasing the duration to 8 turns.

Appearance: Unlike normal Grimocarol, its cloak like half is spread out, similar to the wings of a bat. The gold is now all silver, and the colors of the cloak have been swapped to purple and black. Black hands droop down from its underside, going together, as if praying.

Description: On the darkest of nights, something breaks the silence. After the sun is down, many closely packed together, sing their songs through the night. Compared to their other, more snowy counterparts, their songs are quieter. If you hear a singular knock at your door in the middle of the night, open at your own guidance. Nothing will be there at the door, yet the wind will carry a song through your home.

The reason for the change in appearance unknown. Some believe it is a hierarchy, due to the different metals across their bodies. Some think it is a merely a difference in what the Grimocarol wishes to sing. Sundown Grimocarol sing more eerie, slower songs.

Pokemon: Antaron (Evolution of a Drampa convergent/regional forme, similar to Basculegion)
Type: Dragon/Fire
Base Stats:
88 HP / 69 Atk / 85 Def / 143 Spa / 91 Spd / 79 Spe - 555 BST (if too strong, move some Spe/Hp to Atk)
Ability: Berserk / Dancer / Good as Gold (Hidden ability)

Dex entries:

-
An Anteros sighting is an extremely rare occurance, but those who witness it are said to be guaranteed a year's worth of good fortune.

- Many years ago, a powerful emperor was said to have their own pet Anteros, allowing it to fly freely over his city at every year's end.

Draconic shuffle: Deals damage, then switches the user out. May leave the opponent with a burn. (
1766243833358.png
,100% Acc, 50BP, Dragon, Dance-move, 10% Burn chance)

This mon as it is right now seems to be caught between worlds a bit. Too slow to effectively clean, just barely not bulky enough to get away with its lack of instant recovery, yet strong enough that you really want to make it work. Regardless of these incongruencies, I think Antaron has the stats to warrant viability, not to mention a very strong movepool (courtesy of base Drampa). I'd be very curious to see how viable it would actually be. Oh, and it's based on the dragons often associated with Chinese New Year's, if that wasn't clear. (Shoutout to all Zodiac girlies out there btw)

Pokémon: Baxcalibur-Equinox
Form change trigger: Hold the item Floral Concessions.
Type:
IceIC_Big.png
FairyIC_Big.png

Base Stats:
115 HP / 145 Atk / 82 Def / 75 SpAtk / 92 SpDef / 91 Spe / 600 BST
Ability: New Earth
New Earth: Once per battle upon switching in, sets Grassy Terrain, Rain, and Rainbow (Water Pledge + Fire Pledge) for 6 turns.
Pokédex Entries:
  • Santa Red Edition: Floral concessions overtake Baxcalibur's draconic powers, as they are reborn with the arrival of Spring. The new season has melted some of the ice on Baxcalibur's dorsal fin, causing it to drip and be reforged into an even sharper form.
  • Pine Green Edition: Once per year, the Winter Monarch undergoes a ritual in which they perform one last march, emboldened by the power of fairies. After this march, the Monarch slumbers until Winter arrives again.
Moves:

  • StatusIC_HGSS.png
Moonlight, Floral Healing, Misty Terrain, Grassy Terrain, Aromatherapy, Worry Seed
Additionally receives all moves which Baxcalibur learns.
*Glaive Rush becomes a fairy type move when used by Baxcalibur-Equinox

Description:
In my personal writing / world-building I've experimented a bit with different calendars, and one of my favorites is one which simply shifts when the new year is to around the day of the March Equinox, which signals Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Spring symbolizes rebirth in many cultures as life re-emerges from Winter, which to me makes for the perfect start of a new calendar year compared to the Gregorian calendar. Baxcalibur-Equinox is meant to represent a personified Winter having one final march (also a pun on the March Equinox) before slumbering until Winter next year. The stat spread has minor adjustments, with the main change being Baxcalibur's typing, receiving a plethora of fairy and grass type moves, and their new ability which only triggers once per battle. This makes Baxcalibur even more of an offensive threat at the cost of their item slot, meaning no Choice Band, Loaded Dice, Heavy-Duty Boots, Mega Evolution, etc. If it were up to me, I would force Baxcalibur to hold the Floral Concessions item for this metagame, as standard Baxcalibur is rather strong, especially with Loaded Dice. However, if standard Baxcalibur seems fine with the power level, then they can be added as well.

Eternal Flame-It's a fire type super fang clone

Phoeneox-The New Dawn Pokemon
Phoeneox is considered one of the four holy flames along side Presentorch, Miranorah, and Nyukandle. It is said that Phoeneox ages with the year, dying at the end of the year, only to be born again at the start of the new year. It is said the first sound made by Phoeneox determines what kind of year it shall be.

Design wise it's another pheonix pokemon but to make it more different than Moltres and Ho-Oh I want to incorporate both the flames and the ash into the overall design. Likewise I think a red, orange, gold, and black color scheme can work wonders. For the shiny replace the red and orange with some blues for that classic blue fire.

For those curious
Presentorch is Ghost/Fire
Miranorah is Fairy/Fire
and Nyukandle is Bug/Fire

The colours are inspired by the Chinese New year colours of the year. He’s also hung over from Christmas and ready to drink a lot more. (Won’t we all)
*New Years Hangover: If Delibird-2026 is under 25% health and Delibird-2026 took a KO during this turn, Delibird-2026 falls asleep and heals 100% of his health.

Sublimating Night:
"This Pokemon applies Perish Song to itself when it switches in; gain +20.0% to all stats (except SPE) each time its perish counter goes down."

Dex Entries:
“This Pokemon was mysteriously discovered only after an Ultra Wormhole incident, bearing a certain similarity to UB-Burst. For some reason, during the eve of the year’s last day, Commellarte puts on a show where its brightly shining head begins to descend from its glassy body until it reaches the ground…”

“It is unclear why this Pokemon bears such a resemblance to Blacephalon. Using the many glowing lights on its spherical head and the electrical panels on its collars for whatever reason, Commellarte projects bright and colorful illusions to lure the people and Pokemon around it towards itself.”

i was inspired by my friend’s times square ball blacephalon idea (hi rawr if you are reading this) so i made a blacephalon convergent based on that :p (get it because times square ball and perfect square numbers…) it’s a pretty strong attacker especially with a few boosts from its ability, but it can’t stay on the field for more than 2-3 turns and the weaknesses hurt a bit, but it could also benefit from electric terrain if that ends up being a thing with boosted psyblade and electric moves… i think it’s a pretty cool concept for a bulky attacker that can force trades and hit pretty hard :3

It eats leftover Christmas coal, to heat it's body until the new year. It often lets Trainers, and families grill food on it's hot back while it's body is hot, it's back giving the same effects as a stone grill. On the new year, it spits out any leftover coal at the end of the year, as fireworks to celebrate the new year

Flavor: It's the New York ball drop! All stats made based on the 2025 one, because that's the article I found with no effort, it's your standard steel type, physically defensive, with no health or speed.

Expected Playstyle: You're trying to get into a situation where you have enough time to get the rapid spins up, then power trick and sweep. Or just be an actual support pokemon with Rapid Spin and screens.

Downsides: The HP stat is low, and while the spdef isn't bad, you'll still fall apart to vacuum wave.

Problems: tired.

Pokémon: Crescendrop
Type: Electric/Psychic
Base Stats: 51 HP / 5 Atk / 5 Def / 150 SpAtk / 5 SpDef / 150 Spe / 366 BST
Ability: Shields Down
Pokédex Entries:
Crescendrops fuel the "excitement" and "hope" of the crowd. They typically appear in large cities during the end-of-year festivities, hovering above crowded squares. As midnight approaches and the crowd's excitement intensifies, their crystal bodies glow brighter and spin faster.
Precisely at the moment of transition (midnight), or when the accumulated energy reaches its peak, the crystal shell of the Crescendrop will temporarily split open. The inner core will release a massive surge of energy into the sky, creating spectacular light displays (similar to fireworks) to dispel the darkness and fears of the old year.
After expending all its energy on New Year's Eve, the Crescendrop will turn gray, its crystalline shell becoming opaque. It will enter a state of hibernation, drifting along the Earth's magnetic field to rest and begin slowly accumulating energy for the following year's cycle. It is believed that if you encounter a sleeping Crescendrop and whisper a wish into its ear, that wish will be charged into its energy core and have a chance of coming true in the next eruption.

Appearance:
Crescendrop is a legless Pokémon that floats in the air. Its main body is a transparent, polygonal crystal sphere (like a disco ball), containing a constantly swirling, color-changing liquid energy core that pulses with each beat.
Rings: Surrounding the sphere are three slowly rotating rings of light (similar to Saturn's rings). Hanging from these rings are long, thin metal strips, resembling ribbons (confetti) or glitter paper.
Face: It has no mouth. Its eyes are two digital LED screens that appear on the surface of the sphere, usually displaying scrolling numbers or flashing emotes.
Top of Head: On top of its head is a long antenna, the tip of which is a small, constantly crackling electrical spark, resembling the fuse of a firework.

I can't draw so this is an AI generate picture of Crescendrop(Sorry for that)

Appearance: Minior-Showball is a rounded, white ball with splotches of gemstones giving it a slightly misshapen appearance. They glow in different colors, contrasting the white ball outer shell.

Minior-Finale: Normal Minior

Description: When New Years-Eve Reaches, Minior takes on a new form. It gathers gemstones and metals, making it shine through the sky as it slowly reaches the ground. It’s thought that this form is caused by a certain Pokémon not interrupting its usual descent.

Note: Damn. Right after another ball drop Pokémon.

When asked to make a pokemon based on a christmas song it begs the question do I go with a classic or some stupid novelty christmas song, like grandma got run over by a reindeer. The answer .... probably won't shock you

Dolominik-The Helper Pokemon
Allegedly in the region of Ailati, Dolominik traverse the many hills and mountains of the region in order to help spread presents to children at the end of the year. It's appearance is marked by the sound of bells jingling from its hooves followed by its very loud cry. It also known for its good behavior, as they do not kick even if someone stands behind them.

Design wise it's an italian christmas donkey, but how does that translate well into pokemon? The answer is that instead of it being a regular donkey it should take cues from both the song and the mountains it gets its namesake from. The dolomite mountain range is notably gray and appears darker due to the lighting so rather than the browns of other ground types it can use the greys and whites that the dolomite range provides along side red and green because ... italian christmas donkey. Also yes it does need to have the jingle bells or at least jingle bell like features on its hooves. The chorus of the song literally goes jing a di jing. It's a required feature. Normally I also give shiny palette ideas as well but honestly the only thing I can think of is make Dolominik white to reference the other kind of dolomite.

Description:
Agatha got run over by a Wyrdeer. A play on the song, "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". Wyrdeer-Agatha takes on some of Agatha's ghostly powers, dropping their psychic type for the ghost type. This great defensive typing with three immunities (four with Sap Sipper) and only one weakness helps Wyrdeer-Agatha fulfill their only real niche as a double dance (Calm Mind + Agility) setup sweeper. The additon of Parting Shot allows them to function as a bulky pivot as well thanks to Intimidate, though ghostly powers are best used on the attack. I considered giving them Last Respects since it's thematic here, but the move is so incredibly powerful even on a mon as weak as Wyrdeer. Poor Agatha.
