They were really the only two people day 1 who half heartedly tried to entertain a non-des vote by actually voting elsewhere. I think that is a somewhat stronger of an endorsement than say someone like Peum who was pro-des but didn't actually end up voting anywhere.

I feel like this isn't entirely correct since there was also a notable dbd wagon plus neon and Pebble throwing stray votes elsewhere. What makes cel/phoopes worse for voting pulsar than whoever voted dbd?
I don't necessarily agree with this. Just because someone posts more doesn't mean they're more pro-town/more beneficial for mafia to kill. There's probably a reason for why they went with genisu over me. Now we just have to find it

I have such a hard time believing this is anything but TvT. These two are going at each other's throats so hard. Too hard for it to be mafia IMO. I understand you want to look like you have your reads/convictions if you're mafia but this would be way overdoing it.
I forget if I said this already in the thread somewhere but Celever voted with me on day one (both voted pulsar) and is a yapper that posts a lot so I figured it'd be good to protect someone from being killed that 1. agreed with me on something and 2. would be able to get a lot of information/reads on because of volume of posting
Again, my logic for voting pulsar day one was "I'd rather vote out an inactive." It seemed to me like the main knock against des was her play in other games, not because of anything she did or said on day one. I know someone always has to be voted out day one but it sucked to me that many people were like "we have to vote her out because she's a bad player" or whatever. If someone gets voted out first every time they have no chance to improve, they're not going to have fun, and it's just kind of mean. So yeah I'd rather vote out someone who literally posted 0 times.
I suppose this could be the case.
tying the vote is pretty suspect especially given that both celever and phoopes strongly believe in voting day 1. so just tying wouldn't have been good enough.
again im not committed to the line of thinking that scum has to do everything in the power to avoid a ML day 1. in general though, that's the easiest day to be like "lol lets vote out random 1 post player!" or otherwise vote someone who's not really going to push back (and indeed you might get people saying well might as well get that guy because they will just be afk later etc). it's much easier for scum phoopes to say "pulsar is afk lets vote them" and then hope other people agree than just make a blatant move to tie the vote which just raises all sorts of alarm bells given that phoopes directly said they wanted to vote someone out
i dunno i guess today i have to be open to pulsar or phoopes vote. of those two i prefer pulsar given that i think phoopes is for now a stronger town read.
if phoopes is town -> have to look at peum and pulsar probably pretty closely
if pulsar is town -> have to look at phoopes, and i guess celever closer. interestingly neon defended pulsar d1 along with des. hm. but if scum neon didn't like either of those votes and/or they were scumbuddies...why not vote dbd and tie the vote? I assume the mafia probably didn't know about the tie rule but still it would be a good chance to gain bussing credit? idk
pulsar now thinks me and SHYP are good votes but it's not very clear why. today's posts from pulsar have really just been question asking, no individual analysis when there's plenty of things to talk about. i dunno i get that's how some people want to "contribute" but it makes it hard for me to see the progression behind phoopes being the vote for pulsar yesterday to today pulsar being like "actually we are NOT in the world where phoopes is lying mafia". thats just really strange to me

Yes, uh no I am definitely not reading Pulsar as town. They haven't really done anything, besides piggyback off of others ideas, that makes me wanna townread them. Ima be honest, was lowkey still kind of sus of phoopes still cause of what people were saying abt the different scenarios we could be in, but their posturing at the start of D2 on what JK and Follower should be doing makes more sense to me now that they claimed, (now I also kinda understand why Peum said we shouldn't do setup talk cause people could give themselves away). What I am seeing more so is that I thought only you and Cel couldn't be paired with Phoopes, but I realized Pulsar also can't be paired with phoopes.

you were townleaning peum on day 1. what happened?
Myself, Neon, and Jalmont were around in the last hour of the first phase. I wish I had my notes with me, but I'm at work rn so we're gunna do this from memory. The folks online within the last hour of deadline were Me, Jalmont, Phoopes (Kind of), Neon, Evie, DBD, Genisu. That also means we were the only ones who could have swapped to be able to save des. Jalmont was committed to No Vote, so they'd have had space to swap if they wanted to and chose not to. Phoopes was already on a vote that could have saved des and wouldn't have been able to move (part of why I sussed them originally). Neon was pinged by Evie to vote and still chose not to. Evie was the Tracker. DBD was the deciding vote on Des and I don't see them killing their friend that early. And Genisu was Follower.
And I was online until the last second and could have voted DBD (one of the two other viable options) and stalled the lynch as they were also one of the two people I actually sussed on D1 and idk that anyone would have had an issue with that if i was mafia with des. But I'm not, so instead I chose to vote our later claimed Jailkeeper instead cuz my reads are so based
That's the phrase I learned from the two discord games I played and Town of Salem before I played here, so from a learning standpoint what's usually a better term to use?
