the pain of this comment coming from my favorite smogon user is somewhat diminished by the fact that it is also coming from someone who took 306 days to finish the last round of the first knife fight.

the real answer is that I wanted to maximize the amount of signups to try to have as big and special a knife fight as possible, but once it starts the rounds must be prompt and vindictive!
I want to smash our old signup total but we're barely above. Maybe I'll ping prior signups tomorrow
