a spikes offense i made for world cup, though i replaced togekiss for gyara in the end.
Even without bulk investments togekiss has good enough natural bulks to take neutral hits well, which allows good 1vs1 trade vs most teams especially with spike support. That togekiss will have trouble vs offense and hyper offense since the skarmlead won't prevent SR and toge will have trouble taking boosted damage and won't be able to ohko gyarados and some tyranitar, however the rest of the teams is pretty good vs those kinds of team, scarf latias is a good insurance vs ho, and that jirachi set is rly good vs ho, taking a earthquake from dragonite gyara or tyranitar and finishing them off (need some previous damage for ttar). what's cool with that togekiss is that it has a great and unusual coverage which allow to threaten a lot of defensives cores, for exemple bronzong clef latias, and helps in the stall semi stall mu. i tried roost, lum berry on togekiss, and wanted both and lefto, so i ended up using lefto heal bell which is cool if u got para, and helps other teammates paralysed or burned too. rotom is needed to spinblock and specs + spikes is breaking well, tyranitar helps finishing teams or doing early breaking depending of mu, spikes helps him for def jira hippo etc. though the jira set is a great insurance vs offense, its good coverage, ability to finish heatran and def latias helps him cleaning up often after u did some damage with the others. if u think shuca is a waste on jira (cause 4 ground immunity) in practice flygon would be a rly bad mu, and tanking an eq and dm it can surprise a lot and u can finish with ddtar after.

Hi everyone! Inspired by a Fakes team used in the Jirachee Invitational, I put together this double rapid spin Special Offence team featuring both Togekiss and Porygon-Z. Just a basic defensive Nasty Plot Togekiss to get the job done. Special thanks to RobertShortGrass earlier in this thread for the defensive Dragonite set, I don't think this team can work without it.

It's not the strongest team, and probably has a lot of holes, but it can be a lot of fun to pilot. Double Nasty Plot can really get out of control sometimes. Unfortunately susceptible to a lot of variance between crit rng and critical misses. Porygon-Z and Togekiss seem to work well with each other to set up the other for success. Using SpDef Porygon-Z to abuse most Rotoms and Zapdos is a lot of fun. I started with Shadow Ball for the possible SpDef drop, but Dark Pulse is probably the better move overall.

Hello! Here's my take on Togekiss and a team built around it.

To my knowledge, Togekiss is a weaker version of Zapdos. The advantages of Togekiss over Zapdos are:

Nasty Plot

Serene Grace

Heal Bell, Wish

Typing (rarely)

The problem is that the only two good STABs are Air Slash (with 75 power, it needs to benefit from Serene Grace or Nasty Plot) and Hyper Beam (which is situational).

With 80 base Speed, benefiting from Serene Grace flinches on Air Slash usually requires paralysis, so I built a paraspam team (how original!).

I wanted to have Rapid Spin to help Togekiss. I found the sample team "TrickScarf Uxie ZapMie" by Kristyl and adapted it.

:Jirachi::Togekiss::Starmie::Swampert::Tyranitar::Raikou:

Jirachi lead can start spreading para with Body Slam, deploy a Substitute to avoid being statused, help scout, and generally be an annoyance. I want to play Togekiss and Swampert (with Stealth Rock) early on, and Jirachi is a good entry point for them as Togekiss is immune to Ground and Swampert resists Fire. Since these are Jirachi's weaknesses, it flows naturally to switch to them. Later on, this set can come back and be useful as Jirachi is overall a great Pokémon.

Togekiss's purpose is straightforward: spread para and slowly wear down the foes. It's not flashy, but it works. 8 Speed investment is to outspeed neutral Gyarados. The rest of the spread gives the same resistance to physical and special attacks. Since I want to switch in on Earthquake, being able to deal with physical attackers is important, even though it seems more intuitive to give Togekiss a Calm nature. Soft-Boiled is there to provide some unpredictability.

Starmie is defensive to help spread para and is slow because it doesn't need as much Speed against paralyzed targets.

Swampert is primarily here to protect Togekiss and Starmie against Electric moves. I prefer an offensive set over a tank to give more oomph to the team, as I don't want my slow playstyle of spreading para to be exploited.

CB Tyranitar is very straightforward. It Pursuits or just cleans house after most Pokémon are paralyzed.

CM Raikou: I needed a Pokémon that can deal with Water-types. Jirachi or Tyranitar can use Thunder Punch, but it is not that powerful; they get Intimidated by Gyarados and they have other roles to serve already. I wanted an Electric-type Pokémon that can also boost. Raikou fits this job well and rounds out the team cleanly.

Interested to hear your opinions on my thoughts.
