What is this koko achieving for this team if it's not CM electric seed? Also isn't sturdy over sheer force pre-evo on steelix better in certain situations?
i usually use it as an anti lead for trick room and a back up speed control in a pinch, acro wild charge hidden power ice covers the entire metagame for the most part and wild charge is crazy, really love physical tapu koko but u hyeah i have been thinking of going specs recently.... boring though

Did you take curse off the steelix cause you made it cb and then just forget to put a 4th move on lol
yes. it was fun testing that specific paste thee first test lol, because it still worked around 1500 lol, i do not downlaod replays sorry for no evidence!

small post here are two teams ive been laddering with during the suspect, though i used something else for my reqs.

https://pokepast.es/9b6f4ca6ba6d78ef
specs dos is really strong and can open up win paths for teammates by weakening ground types, cm sinitscha is your main zama c check though you will not always be able to check it through the entire game. make sure to utilize helm chomp and understand when its better to trade for dmg or get up hazards.
https://pokepast.es/ee8840696dd77000
fun team though i only played like 5-6 games with this, i won all of them on high ladder so maybe worth trying. pretty safe into zama c, landorus can trade very well and you have double intim with mmane who also volts with safe switch ins to either gking lando or cofag. cofag is kinda nice because even with colbur gking u have to rely on focus miss so you can burn dark types making gkings job easier. issue i see with this team on paper is protect gliscor looks very annoying. vs ho you want to try to trade for as many layers as you can early with hamu.

After a lot of back and forth with trying to build a very good Mmaw team, I decided to finish the build officially with this. It has proved itself countless times on the ladder for me. This is not my first time posting the team in here but I deleted my last post.

The team is centered around making Mega Mawile Thrive in natdex, I truly believe this team has hit that mark. Mmaw shines really well on this team paired with a very slow ev spread lando given to me by the NDOU core and after a long back and forth in my head I decided to put choiceband back on Zamazenta as it allows Zama to hit like a truck. Ferro and AV mola have proved themselves to be a super strong defensive core that play nicely alongside my offensive core. I was skeptical at first to try AV mola but I'm glad I did. Overall, I hope to see others using my Mmaw team on the ladder and am looking forward to both positive and negative feedback. I did forgot to mention but Landorus is slower then Rbolt on this team paste so playing around bolt can be a issue at times under the sun. I just don't know how to fix that minor issue as I was told to use a slow lando by the NDOU cord. That is the only thing I feel that this team lacks. Anyways Happy Laddering and Happy Life!- Strafepattern/E https://pokepast.es/731f603006c8d729

If you need to check my Elo via this team look up fmnl I have multiple alts on showdown.

i am actually aware of a version with ting lu, just ask at the national dex community? i forgot their name but they had a mega mawile bulky offense team? i really do not remember who i can ask around for you if you would like

hello everyone, my name is Jamie, and I’m here with another teamdump to share the teams of my circuit run all through the end of ndcl since we are out now. Same things as last time, as such, because music allows me to express my emotions in ways I can’t usually. I was going to write a whole emotional manifesto about these past few months, but I’ll save it for another day.

I will however include my own explanations on the teams I’m particularly proud of, so I hope you enjoy that.

:Hydreigon: :Slowbro: :Landorus-Therian: :Ferrothorn: :Urshifu: :gholdengo: People Posture Play Pretend
This team was something I built immediately after my seasonal loss and it features my favorite junk food pokemon; specs Hydreigon. I particularly love Hydreigon because offensive darks are one of my favorite archetypes and dropping specs Dracos is always fun too. I’m particularly proud of this build because of the synergy; at this time av mola was (and still is) running rampant so I wanted some way to lure that while also having some mon to absolutely crush the typical balance cores that easily scout Hydreigon, so modest ghost z ghold felt natural, pairing well with Hydreigon to break holes down in ting-lu and heatran early. The offensive synergy along with shifu to help clean vs standard bo / offense cores is also cool and what makes this build stick along with the super nice defensive core of Slowbro / spdef Lando / ferro, which supports the offense nicely.

Originally built this for Lameflame as an idea for his summer seasonal finals game, and I used it vs benladil, the original opponent this was meant for. I like this build because it uses a lot of more unorthodox tech and a less standard structure that synergizes well together. I wanted to build Mmedi even though it’s a shitmon and I wanted to work around its usual issues. The first step was adding an hsam, which is our main speed control along with Prio from Medi. Modest zap here is cool because it absolutely crushes Gliscor and other basic bo builds with Lando / ferro / water as a main defensive core; I also wanted it to not be a passive zapdos because it would ruin the pace a lot vs stuff like chomp and some steels (see my circuit game vs benladil) and overall would make the build a lot more passive in general. Besides that I liked sub bolt for a stable win condition and to also destroy some certain balances that Medi could not break through on its own (stuff with torn and things with ferro + ghold). Helm chomp is for physical attackers like Pon / shifu, and that allows for some freedom in running spdef corvi for fairies and psychics. I personally felt fog corvi was fine on this build since between your own hazards and offensive pressure you can get by not removing vs ghold. Medi is still ass but I like it here because it has prio and takes advantage of slower things like tusk and kyurem more consistently, along with threatening out Gliscor / other grounds more consistently as well with ice punch. One of my favorite builds from the circuit run.

This was a team that I built for my circuit game vs benladil, but it ended up getting used by Lameflame in his circuit game because he ended up liking the build a lot. This team was also one of my favorites because of the context surrounding it and my emotions at the time. It was inspired by some of sealoo’s chomp hstack builds, but with my own twist on it. Howl elec z zama’a main purpose is to lure the birds so then pon / gambit go crazy late game. It can also allow for waters to be weakened and open up Trailblaze pon / diancie to clean later on. I had toxic chomp for some reason (I think it was to hit zapdos?) but spikes is also a fine alternative for dual hazards support. Trailblaze synth pon is a set I’ve liked for a while and I wanted to try it on ho builds after i recognized that the original versions of these builds had a lot of trouble vs grounds that liked to spikestack (mainly ting lu). That’s why I also originally had hp ice diancie which was for blocking gliscor hazards and getting the surprise ko on Lando for gambit sweeps, but in hindsight ep is better. Very variable build though, so I suggest you all try it out for yourselves since it’s how I perceive most offense to be at its peak in this tier.

This is probably my favorite team I’ve made in the past few months as it feels extremely consistent and is accustomed to the meta a lot in my opinion. The idea was based on some builds I saw vert use in sv ou, trying to use some offense based on the core of Glimm / ghold / lando / special breaker / pon. Pon set is mainly to hit dragons (mainly dnite) and slam its usual checks with knock so breaking with it later is easier, but it is also extremely flexible and can be a lot of things. Glimm is here for tspike support, and although diancie is a realistic alternative the removal option can be extremely nice for moth, pon, and lele. Ghold’s set is something I think has a lot of room to change, but shuca allows you to immediately trade hp vs grounds like Lando, offensive / physdef chomp, and tusk to open up iron moth. Twave was also an anti offense measure and speed control option since that is admittedly limited here. This bulky lele set is something I’ve absolutely loved to use; I think lele is extremely strong vs the meta atm and a part of that is its ability to not only dismantle balance but also be annoying asf to offense in so many different ways, and here it attempts to trade vs a ton of common offensive threats like zardy, pon, kyurem, and latios. Iron moth is something I’m also extremely high on in this metagame, as I think it’s potential to clean with breaking support from lele / Glimm / pon / whatever breaker you pair it with is extremely high atm with current meta trends. Here I have toxic, which is extremely useful in neutralizing a ton of threats like Volcarona, dragonite, and even lategame kyurem if need be. Not only that, it also toxics important checks to moth such as lu and Moltres that are otherwise annoying for this build as anti offense mons. I think toxic moth is actually a really good tech and should def be explored more. Overheat is a personal thing I like, and it can be changed, but I personally like it to nuke grounds and certain birds like zap out of the air. Another variable build I have liked using the past few months so I hope you have fun with it as well.

:ting-lu: :Urshifu: :Pecharunt: :Ferrothorn: :zapdos: :latios-mega: Style (by Iride with edits by me)
This team’s original skeleton was given to me by Iride as she was helping me with ideas for circuit finals, and it ended up being one of my favorite takes on a spikestack in current meta. Shifu / ferro / zap / lu is a core that’s as old as time but still works to choke out the common offense stuff that’s common at the moment. Pech is extremely good here, acting as a setup mon and win condition vs balance teams. It also helps spinblock vs the likes of tusk and, most importantly, Terapagos. Latios rounds out the offensive core, allowing the team to own opposing spikestack structures with Gliscor / ferro / water. Ice beam can be used to make that easier if need be, but Draco is still an extremely good option to just nuke gking and Slowbro immediately. It’s a very creative build in practice, and it shows my thankfulness for the fact that my best friend helped me all the way through circuit all the way through ndcl despite all of the rough patches and conflicts that occured before and after with me mentally.

I originally built this for fun as a remake of a team justfranco used in SPL, but it ended up performing a lot better than I thought in test games and even won in NDCL. The idea here is to be an extremely trade heavy offense with cress as the backbone. Cress here mainly helps twave lele and act as a stopgap for ogerpon and other things like shifu / lop / zama. It actually works a lot better than I thought in practice with this kind of build because it can also hwish up the main trade guys like kyurem / ghold / gambit early. The idea with this team is to usually lead tusk and get up hazards early, then spin later if need be. Kyurem / ghold break early for gambit / zama to clean lategame and I always liked that kind of offensive synergy. Ghold takes advantage of that trading capability well by using a full offensive set, but other ideas such as bulkier spreads with similar spatk invest sound interesting too. Av kyurem is something I love using as well in this meta, just really nice trader and helps this build a lot vs special fires such as tran, volc, -!: zardy. End goal is going to be a gambit endgame usually so try and play for that if possible. Lots of creative techs here to use for your own trade offenses as well since I think that style has a lot of potential in this meta esp vs certain balances.
:Tapu lele: :Garchomp: :Urshifu: :zapdos: :iron treads: :Slowbro: Sugarwitch
I’m personally convinced this build is inherently super solid because the week I built this for ndcl I ran like 2 tests with it and loaded it, but still won. Really cool build with bulky cm lele again; I liked how the offensive core meshes well with the defensive pieces in certain aspects which helps it stay coherent vs balance and other offense a lot. Scale shot chomp is good to act as a solid win condition and opens up defensive cores on BO / offense for shifu to clean up later. Zapdos + Slowbro ensures the team is not overwhelmed by certain combos of physical attacking threats. I think the Slowbro is actually very variable; it can be colbur press if darks are too much of an issue, it can be more spdef for kyurem so chomp pivots into it easier, etc. The fact it also pairs up well with shifu / chomp for future sight support is also very cool in breaking down other defensive cores. Treads acts as the catch all utility piece, acting as the main steel, rocker, and removal. It also frees up slots on zapdos and chomp which is very appreciated for certain coverage vs steels. Like I said just a consistent balance that allows you to play with momentum to bring in your offensive pieces easier.

I love you, my soulmate.

I love Primarina, and I hadn’t used it in ndcl before, so I wanted to use it against the person I respected the most and wanted to win against the most. It was also my upcoming birthday that week so I wanted to be able to use my favorite pokemon near that date. This build was inspired by a lot of different things; one, I took a lot of inspiration from Celeste’s Ubers UU builds in making this, shown by the ideas of scale dnite + id zama as a stopgap vs most offensive threats / opposing offense. The other inspiration was a lax team I saw in SPL, which attempts to use specs prim to trade easily vs offense as well as vs annoying grounds like lu so something like ceru wins easier. Specs prim is also nice because it provides some immediate power to the team, and it does make the primary cleaners of the team perform their jobs easier. Bulky Lorb ceru was something I liked using in sun so wanted to try it here since it’s deceptively fat and does well vs a lot of stuff like Kyu, yard, and lele. It also abuses a lot of prim’s regular checks like ferro and gking. ID zama like I said is meant to be the primary stopgap vs certain things like pon, dnite, lategame gambit, etc. The applications vs other offense with it are nearly endless in my opinion. Dark z is used here to snipe latios, gking, and Gholdengo out of the air if need be, opening up stuff like Val and prim. It also helps vs Pech if you get defense drops, then val and dnite are really happy by that point. This team also plays like ho and allows for breakers to open up things for each other. Prim helps break down ting lu and trades vs a ton of offensive threats so that the setup breakers have an easier time breaking down passive walls and eventually winning (see my game vs Isza in ndcl for the mental behind this). Sd val is also very cool as it forms a physical offense core with ceru; knock odd Val is fine here because the ideal pathway is for ceru to break physical walls early for dnite and val to clean up lategame. Scale dnite is also really broken in my opinion I love this pokemon on ho and it synergizes extremely well with ceru / prim as it also destroys a ton of mola / balance builds. Unfortunately, I ended up losing with this vs Isza and along with that I was questioning my entire identity across my birthday weekend so… that’s fun!

As the song attached to it implies however, I am still optimistic about the future and that I can achieve my goals if I just let them happen, even if it relates to who I am as a person internally. This team is proof of that optimism, even if I’m completely hopeless at the moment and I am unsure of who I really am. Hopefully, throughout these next few months leading up to ndwc, I can find the answers I’m looking for.

Hope you guys enjoy the teams if they come of help in seasonal / Swiss. Cya’ll until the end of NDWC if I end up building more for it.

I be using your teams all the time for fun on the ladder, tysm ur a godsend

I decided to build a balance team that is helpful for laddering. Then came this team. I finally achieved top 10 in national dex with my two accounts, at least when I start writing this. (Screenshots and some replays below)
The fish and slowking-galar is just the standard set except I added up the spa ev of slowking for some reason that I have forgotten. Anyway these two mons with the ability of regenerator can eat up a lot of damage and are important to the whole team.

Kingambit and Bolt, both with choice items are the core wall breakers of the team. Banded kingambit is really rare and can cause huge damage, ohkoing mons unexpectedly. Its pursuit and knock off can bother special walls from other balance teams and stall teams, making it easier for bolt to eat them up. What’s more, this kingambit is a slow one, slower than Lv 99 wish fish so that it can cause damage to the mon switching in and prevent it from getting healed by the wish fish. This can be pretty useful when facing the annoying fish. Bolt, as another wall breaker, simply gives tons of damage with choice specs. Draco meteor paired with the 1.5 buff provided by the specs can easily let clodsire and ting-lu to lose over half of their hp and ohko some other ground mons like Ursaluna, tusk, lando-t, although Treads and some bulky gliscors can still take that damage. Its evs help it survive earthquake of lando-t after taking the stealth rock damage.

Banded Zama can be a late-game sweeper, dark and steel type checks. Its banded close combat can also 2HKO the nd standard set of that nasty wish fish(like over 90% possibility), iron valiant, diancie-mega, Zama-C with dauntless shield buff and other mons that resist fighting. In addition, it can serve as a game saver when facing set-up oger-W and quiver danced volcarona.

The final mon is the goated bird, the king of the sky. It was not originally in this team, but with the iron press Zama-C coming to the tier, I realized I needed a iron press mon as well to counter Zama-C setting up and sweeping. (btw this mon is crazy. It can finish off my bird with a critical hit, 2HKO galarian slowking and body press my mons left.) Considering the weakness to ground in this team, I finally chose this bird, a reliable physical wall, stopping most physical sweepers and relieving the fish’s stress to eat too much physical attacks. Not to mention Defog, this is only way to end the hazards in this team. But pay attention that the speed of the bird may not be enough to outspeed these 50 base speed mons yet with 252 evs invested on speed, like mega mawile, ursaluna, kingambit.

Some opposing mons that have to be treated with care: gholdengo(sucker punch mind game), heatran with toxic, taunt and magma storm, heatran with grassium Z eating up my fish, blissey with counter, the opposing kingambit that can sweep once zama and the bird are unhealthy, the opposing Raging Bolt, some ursaluna that are faster than the great bird, endure&ghost Z set Ceruledge

To finish, I want to say that all you have to do with this team is just read hard, play safe and enjoy the games.

small post here are two teams ive been laddering with during the suspect, though i used something else for my reqs.

specs dos is really strong and can open up win paths for teammates by weakening ground types, cm sinitscha is your main zama c check though you will not always be able to check it through the entire game. make sure to utilize helm chomp and understand when its better to trade for dmg or get up hazards.

fun team though i only played like 5-6 games with this, i won all of them on high ladder so maybe worth trying. pretty safe into zama c, landorus can trade very well and you have double intim with mmane who also volts with safe switch ins to either gking lando or cofag. cofag is kinda nice because even with colbur gking u have to rely on focus miss so you can burn dark types making gkings job easier. issue i see with this team on paper is protect gliscor looks very annoying. vs ho you want to try to trade for as many layers as you can early with hamu.
Love seeing ttar drill core still, any extra tips/potential swaps to make in the team depending on if Z crown gets banned? I have been running this:https://pokepast.es/87237febba4ee663
