If you could live in the Pokemon universe, what type of lifestyle would you live?

is an official Team Rater
You can choose anything as long as it is in line with the Pokemon world, meaning you don't have to take the traditional trainer-scouting-for-badges route, you can choose to be like a ranger, nurse, or even part of Team Rocket. Once you choose your general role, please feel free to get detailed.

I'll go first:

I feel like I'd opt to be a middle-aged male who used to be a good trainer but didn't obtain all badges or attempt the Elite Four. Instead I am currently living on the countryside in a cozy cottage surrounded by a quiet forest with a pond and mountain in the distance. Over the last several years I have grown multiple berry trees that are proving to be fruitful. As passing trainers come by I have left a sign on the side of the route saying I am selling berries. These trainers are allowed to purchase berries and honey if desired. Tired trainers are allowed to rest in the cottage if I feel like allowing them to, feed them home-cooked meals, which will lead to conversation and the potential of making new friends. Otherwise I would keep a general low profile, keep to myself, and enjoy a quiet lifestyle.

Also want to mention I would live with a handful of Pokemon. I would like to have a Houndoom to guard my property from wild Pokemon and potentially evil trainers. I'd also possibly want a Miltank for its milk which can be another thing I can sell to trainers. Gengar would a cool Pokemon to have as well. Lastly one day a traveling trainer may trade me a Bagon egg which I eventually hatch and raise to a Salamence and use to fly through the mountains behind my cottage.

Anyone else want to attempt this?

I'll bite.

I think I would probably fit into one of two categories: either a researcher who gets involved in battling(think more of a less energetic, laid-back Professor Kukui) or a teacher doubling as a gym leader. Either of those roles fits my personality type - someone who enjoys the world of Pokemon from a slight detached distance, but is ultimately very passionate about it overall.

being a researcher would definitely be interesting

I think Eusine or even Volo could fit this category fairly well when you think about how they fit into Johto and Hisui's lore respectively, though I think I'd be more interested in how pokemon relate to one another. For example, I enjoy watching and playing a lot of Smogon's older lower tiers, learning EV spreads and what they do is cool, so on and so forth.

This conversation made me think of Bill and inventing stuff would definitely be cool

I was thinking we could potentially start like a community role-playing game where there is one OP leader that releases a prompt that ends in a multiple choice question that allows other participants to vote for what they want to happen. New prompts are released once all the votes are tallied and the story goes on. A long time ago when I was a fan of Spore (that video game where you start as a cell and progress through different civilization stages) I was a lurker on one of their forums and they started one of these and I got into it.

I just thought it can be translated to Pokemon and could be fun if it gets traction in the community.

I mean… do I even really need to explain my answer to this one? Although, I suppose it would be pretty relaxing to just live my normal life but with Pokémon in it too.
