I'm going to work on KFC probably in a week, i'm waiting for the manager of the stablishment to send the date for the individual interview, and honestly idk how i will handle the work alongside school (that starts this monday in my country), specially considering that i'm going to a technical school with many hours.

Any advices to handle this before i end dead in 2 weeks?

First off, good on you for getting a job along with school, and good luck!

Don't let your job get in the way of school. I guess I'm kind of biased, but I think I would say the same thing regardless. If you plan to go to college, how you do in school as a 16-18 year old will have a very significant impact on your life in the short term. If you don't plan to go to college it's less significant, but not zero. How well you do as a KFC employee will not have a significant impact on your life.

For most jobs, all you need to do to not get fired is 1) show up when you're supposed to, 2) don't be an asshole, and 3) don't be stupid. For a KFC job that will probably be enough to make you exceptional. I think it's good to get used to being diligent at your job, though. Often it takes one or two jobs before people really build the mindset they need to succeed at work. So imo, try to practice identifying what would make your boss(es) happy with you, and (if it's not too toxic or unreasonable), doing that.

Ultimately, the point of this is just to make some money, and maybe get a positive reference for a future job/college program/whatever. Don't lose sleep over it, just do your best and enjoy your discounted chicken.

I'm only a year into my first white collar corporate job but I've worked a handful of different jobs and I always felt that most advice given to young people was lame shit about performance or work relations. To be blunt, your job does not matter. This is a part time position basically intended for kids and students with very little expectation. Just relax and take it easy.

1. You're going to fuck up. Everybody fucks up constantly, particularly at jobs they're new at. Own any mistakes you make immediately and don't feel bad about it. If your boss and the older employees you work with are decent human beings, they will appreciate the honesty and at most be mildly frustrated. Even in big boy adult jobs people fuck up all the time.

2. Don't let them walk all over you. Given you're working a KFC counter job I'm going to assume you're probably a mid-late teen. Employers can and will ask employees to do absurd shit all the time and things are particularly bad for younger employees. If a task you're given feels unsafe, or you're being asked to work well outside of your agreed upon hours or conditions, refuse. Back when I worked in an eatery, I knew a kitchenhand who burnt himself very badly cleaning an extremely hot rotisserie oven. Worst case scenario you can always find another job.

Other than these two just do your best, don't stress out too much. You'll be fine.

for fastfood you literally just pick two
they are always so incredibly short-staffed and everyone is suffering through a crisis
the only thing that will unironically stop you from getting work is getting old enough that they actually have to pay you more than a shit in a bucket
