Resource National Dex OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers

oftentimes the analyses for the sets will list reasons for the ev spreads, but you could also ask about them in the national dex ou room on showdown or the national dex ou discord, the appropriate RMT thread is also workable in the main smogon discord
The most plug and play legendaries are Landorus-Therian, Zamazenta-Hero, and Terapagos. Best Mythical would probably be Mega Diancie.
Latias is just so passive and needs cm to boost when such sets are extremely bad in this metagame due to coverage issues, latios in comparison brings a ton of the defensive utility latias has while having a ton of offensive power to threaten common defensive cores.
The reason why you’d use mega latios over regular is simply because its bulk being higher allows it to take hits from stuff like Charizard y / Zapdos / hp ice pivot Koko / some pon sets better. Being able to use roost and having all that longevity / defensive utility as a breaker is a major reason why something like choiced / Lorb latios isn’t used.
Where could I find some replays of the teams from the Sample Teams thread in use? The ones from the Balance section in particular, as I've been having a hard time trying to pilot them. (General tips for using fatter teams for a smooth-brained offense spammer such as myself are also appreciated)
there isnt really a specific schedule for VR updates, my next guess for one is going to be post-ndpl, so give it a few weeks
Doubt you can find the exact sample team being used. You can find some similar stuff by spectating high ladder games.
I would take tournament replays with a grain of salt as cheese sets are a lot more common there. A similar looking team might have a completely different gameplan due to a cheesy win condition or just an off-beat set in the back. A lot of these are not consistent enough for climbing high ladder, but in a tour they only need to win once.

PS Staff isn't forcing this on NatDex, and it's something that has to be hashed out by ND leaders and tiering friends according to dhelmise.

How does stall prepare for gholdengo? Pex is nailed by thunderbolt, Quag is a shaky check, clodsire is forced to go unaware, meaning it can't check Urshifu, which, by the way, is very hard to check. It seems you need both clodsire and pex to check both. Are there other options? This duo still needs another unaware pokemon to check Zard X, likely Quagsire.
this is extremely late but if you go the smogon metagames page and scroll all the way down you’ll see tier shifts named “usage-based tier updates”, outlining drops and rises
Not until generation ten when they’re implemented into a mainline game I would assume. But, it’s a possibility that, after Pokemon Champions releases, they will too, though it’s a small one.
