Do not sign up in the current thread. Please register for the tournament on start.gg, but this is not required. If you register on start.gg and your start.gg username is very different from your Smogon username or is similar to another entrant's Smogon username, please let me know.

Tournament Rules
All general rules apply. Click here for guidelines about scheduling matches.

The format of the tournament:
4-6 players: Round Robin, 3-5 weeks, 1 week per round
7+ players: Double Elimination Bracket, 1 week per round, with Round Robin Top 4 (these 4 players made it to Winner's Finals or Loser's Semis) The 2 players from Loser's get a handicap of 1 set in their Round Robin placing

Matches are to be played on the Pet Mods server. http://petmodsdh.com/
Matches are Best of 3, which means that the player who wins 2 games wins the set, but please play out all 3 games. The third game will be included in your score and may be used for tiebreaks.
Replays are mandatory. Send them to me privately if you or your opponent wants, but I will post them at the end of the tournament.

Prizing
<7 players: 1st place: $20
7+ players: 1st place: $50, 2nd place: $20
15+ players: 1st place: $50, 2nd place: $20, 3rd place: $10

I can use Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp for cash payouts, but if you would like to use another digital method, let me know.

Bump. Not huge on gen 8, but this is a concept I feel like needs to be more common and beloved. Not sure if I'll join in myself (I don't know gen 8 mechanics at all) but I do want to spread this tourney to make sure it gets some eyeballs.
 
don't want to do a gen 9 hax meters tourney. I'm going to have to deal with the fact that people don't want to play gen 8
