[OVERVIEW]
Scraggy is one of the most threatening end-game sweepers the tier has to offer, having good bulk, a strong offensive typing, excellent STAB moves in Knock Off, Drain Punch, and High Jump Kick. It also has two great setup options in Dragon Dance and Bulk Up, letting it use two different sweeper sets. Scraggy is especially great at dealing with bulky teams, which the tier is full of, and takes advantage of many defensive Pokemon such as Dunsparce, Dusclops, and Hattrem. Scraggy also checks several special attackers such as Hisuian Sliggoo, Drakloak, and Girafarig.

[SET]
Bulk Up (Scraggy) @ Eviolite
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
- Rest

[SET COMMENTS]
Thanks to its great special bulk, typing, and ability, Scraggy with Bulk Up acts as a special wall and a bulky setup sweeper at the same time, checking special attackers such as Girafarig, Drakloak, and Hisuian Sliggoo. Knock Off helps make progress by removing foes' items, making it easier for Scraggy's teammates to break through. Rest paired with Shed Skin provides a reliable recovery option thanks to Shed Skin curing Scraggy's status effects, giving it more opportunities to set up.

Bulk Up Scraggy works best on bulky teams looking for a solid sweeper. Physical walls such as Koffing and Dusclops appreciate Scraggy's ability to check special attackers that switch in easily on them such as Hisuian Sliggoo, Girafarig, and Drakloak. Entry hazard setters that cannot break through Hattrem like Quilladin and Glimmet appreciate Scraggy coming in on Hattrem freely. Offensive Pokemon such as Drakloak, Piloswine, and Raboot each struggle against a different wall— Hisuian Sliggoo, Dunsparce, and Dusclops— making Scraggy a great partner, as it can set up on many walls with ease. Pokemon that cover Scraggy's Fighting weakness such as Koffing and Fletchinder are greatly appreciated; in return, Scraggy can take advantage of Glimmet for them. Encore users such as Quaxwell and Tinkatuff disrupt Scraggy by locking it into a move, so Pokemon that can break them, such as Drakloak for the former and Piloswine for the latter, will make good partners. Pokemon that prevent setup like Mareanie and Quilladin prevent Scraggy from sweeping, so Pokemon that can take advantage of them like Girafarig and Piloswine are appreciated. Ivysaur walls Scraggy, meaning that Pokemon like Quilladin and Hisuian Sliggoo that check it will pair well with Scraggy. Fletchinder deals with Scraggy thanks to its Flying-type, so Pokemon like Glimmet and Pikachu that can take advantage of it make great partners for Scraggy. Scraggy struggles with Fairy-type moves such as Play Rough from Tinkatuff and Dazzling Gleam from Girafarig, so switch-ins like Tinkatuff are appreciated.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Rock Slide can be used over Taunt on the Dragon Dance set to lure and take down Fletchinder. Running 100 EVs in Speed allows Scraggy to outspeed Ivysaur, giving it a chance to win against it if it does not have Leech Seed or has been significantly weakened.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Monferno and Pignite can both come in on Scraggy easily and threaten it with a super effective Close Combat. Additionally, Raboot can turn into a Fighting-type when using High Jump Kick thanks to Libero, and opposing Scraggy threaten Scraggy despite not wanting to come in on Knock Off or a Fighting-type STAB move.

**Fairy-types**: Despite Clefairy being quite rare, it checks both Scraggy sets very comfortably. Tinkatuff also deals with it easily if it has Play Rough.

**Anti-Setup**: Quilladin and Mareanie prevent Scraggy from setting up with Roar and Haze, respectively. Encore users such as Tinkatuff and Quaxwell lock Scraggy into setup moves, although such Pokemon struggle to check the Dragon Dance set due to Taunt and High Jump Kick's strong damage.

**Fletchinder**: Fletchinder walls Scraggy and threatens to 2HKO with Brave Bird.

**Ivysaur**: Ivysaur with Leech Seed walls Scraggy and deals with it long-term due to Rest not having enough PP to stall Ivysaur's STAB moves. However, it cannot deal with Dragon Dance sets effectively.

**Setup Pokemon**: Scraggy has a hard time setting up against offensive teams that have Pokemon able to set up such as Servine, Fraxure, and Gabite, as they will outdamage it pretty quickly.

usually this first sentence touches on why scraggy is good in this role. can maybe mention it's great special bulk, typing and ability to shrug off status and heal up. Scraggy with Bulk Up act as a bulky setup sweeper and a special wall at the same time. Bulk Up boosts Scraggy's Atk and Def, making it a big threat in the end game (this is what we call "dex info" which means this should be obvious to the reader and doesn't need explanation of what Bulk Up does. assume your reading has a solid understanding of pokemon). Thanks to its good typing and its good bulk enhanced by a 252 HP / 252 SpD spread and a Careful nature, Scraggy can check special attackers such as Girafarig, Drakloak and Sliggoo-Hisui (this can be mixed into the first sentence like i mention above, you also don't need to list the EVs and nature directly). Knock Off is needed to make progress by removing one of the opponent's item, making it easier for Scraggy's teammates to break through. Drain Punch is the preferred Fighting-move as it heals Scraggy while it does damage. Rest paired with Shed Skin provides a recovery option while curing Scraggy from status effects, giving Scraggy more opportunities to setup.

the first sentence here usually mentions the type of team this pokemon/set works best on. so i would mention this scraggy set works well on balance or fat teams that are looking for a wincondition. Physical walls such as Koffing and Dusclops appreciate Scraggy's ability to check special attackers that come in for free on them such as Sliggoo-Hisui, Girafarig and Drakloak. Hazards setters that cannot break through Hattrem like Quilladin and Glimmet appreciate Scraggy being able to come on Hattrem for free. Scraggy's ability to setup with ease on many defensive walls like Sliggoo-Hisui, Dunsparce and Dusclops make it a great partner to any offensive Pokemon that has a hard time breaking them such as Drakloak, Piloswine, and Raboot, respectively. Pokemons that are able to cover Scraggy's Fighting weakness such as Koffing and Fletchinder are greatly appreciated, in return Scraggy can take advantage of Glimmet for them. Encore users such as Quaxwell and Tinkatuff disrupt Scraggy by blocking it on a move, so Pokemons that can break them will make good partners with it, such as Drakloak and Piloswine, respectively. Phazers like Mareanie and Quilladin prevent Scraggy from setting up, so Pokemons that can take advantage of them like Girafarig and Piloswine are appreciated. Scraggy is walled by Ivysaur, meaning that Pokemons like Quilladin and Sliggoo-Hisui that check it will pair well with it. Fletchinder deals with Scraggy thanks to its Flying-type, so Pokemons like Glimmet and Pikachu that can take advantage of it make great partners to Scraggy.

Rock Slide is an option to lure and take down Fletchinder (usually when you mention a move you add what move you would take away, i assume this would only be viable on the DD set > taunt?). Running 100 EVs in Speed allows Scraggy to outspeed Ivysaur, giving it a chance to win against it if it does not have Leech Seed or if it has been significantly weakened.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Monferno and Pignite can both come on Scraggy pretty easily and threaten it with a super effective Close Combat. i would mention raboot who turns into a fighting type with HJK, but it doesnt switch in well on a knock off. maybe even mention other scraggy if they get setup first

**Fairy-types**: Despite Fairy-types being quite rare (i would just say Clef is rare since Tink is on 90% of teams), Clefairy and Tinkatuff can both check Scraggy very comfortably.

**Phazers**: Phazers such as Mareanie and Quilladin prevent Scraggy from setting up with Haze and Roar, respectively.

**Encore users**: Encore users such as Tinkatuff and Quaxwell block Scraggy from setting up. Although tink can struggle if it comes in after a dragon dance is setup

**Fletchinder**: Fletchinder walls Scraggy and threaten to kill it with Brave Bird.

**Ivysaur**: Ivysaur with Leech Seed walls Scraggy and deals with it on the long-term due to Rest not having enough PP to stall Ivysaur's STABs. mention it can struggle a bit vs DD taunt set

**Setups**: Scraggy has a hard time setting up against offensive teams that have Pokemons able to setup such as Servine, Fraxure and Gabite, as they will outdamage Scraggy pretty quickly.

Side note: I know this might be too niche but Girafarig running Dazzling Gleam or Clefairy are not that common but I think the might get some usage due to Scraggy being so versatile and being capable of 6-0 fat teams. I myself has used Dazzling Gleam Girafarig to lure Scraggy in a team with no good tools for that. Maybe you can mention that Scraggy is SCARED AS FUCK of Fairy-types moves so something to switch against them like Tinkatuff is appreciated.
