  • Ok. Btw, I uploaded my first Spinda to Pokecheck and when I put the PID into eepid I got 20 this time, which is much more realistic. I noticed that when I shifted it to Gen. 4, the dots kind of changes their position.

Edit: I dl it from the same link as before?
Ok, that explains a lot. So you'd have to redraw the environment while abusing the PID.

I think I'll do that. One more thing: is your calibration value supposed to change the shiny PIDs you get? Because when I change it on the spreadsheet, my shiny PIDs stay the same. They only change when I use a diff. ID/SID.
I'm not even sure if I was using eepid correctly. I put in the decimal PID I got from Spinda painter and then I pressed enter. Then for starting frame and ending frame I put 0 and 4000 then I hit enter. Then it said Test 1 Test 2 then it gave me a frame and a PID then it said Time (in frames): 963. That's my calibration, right? I think I'll try recalibrating, and see if I get a similar result.

And, yeah, I SRd before taking the 255th step and I was in the DC.

I'm still a little confused about this drawing the environment thingy. Since it changes every time you exit your party / trainer card, woudn't everyone's calibration be really high if they're pretty far into the game, because of all the times they've redrawn it? Or does your calibration reset back to its original value after you reset the game?
Hey dude, you'd post it in Contributions and Corrections > Past Generations > Articles, but pm user macle before you make the thread. He'll give you permission, he's pretty lenient. He's also on irc, usually in #c&c (you should definitely hang out there) and sometimes in #smogonwifi.
Hozu, I have a question if you don't mind. How do I get Eepid.exe to work? I downloaded it from the link but when I try to open it it says "The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

I tried reinstalling and it said the same thing. Do you know how to fix this? :o
Edit: Helped, thanks again for the guide!

Edit 2: Ok, back with a question. I'm just confused about changing your calibration value, by re drawing the environment. Does this mean that every time you re draw the environment, your calibration changes by +3, and you have to keep track of every time you re draw the environment? :/

Also, is 963 a normal calibration number? And, how exactly is calibration supposed to effect the spread sheet? I tried changing my calibration to 966 but the shiny PIDs stayed the same.

Lastly, is it a bad idea to calibrate with a roamer roaming? Or is it ok as long as I keep it roaming?
If i used to do it the old way which i had to make hundreds of files and hope to hatch at one it would be very helpful. But since we can abuse specifically for a specific PID and just transfer it as a dmp file to the abused save i think the process it's just about the same time though your method is more welcomed and generally more approved. Again well done
Thanks a lot for this guide a lot of people who use retail will be thrilled. I don't think i would attempt this at least not for now.
Then what does this mean? The ID you need will be on the line after the one that has TRUE (ie. If frame 10000 is TRUE your ID will be on frame 10001).
Hozu, the spreadsheet you created states that when you find a frame which is TRUE for shiny, you need to target the frame right after. However, that ID doesn't make my spread shiny.

    Here's the info I use:

    PID: 6660745d
    TRUE frame: 5274 (ID: 30229 SID: 25640)
    Target frame: 5275 (ID: 25539 SID: 30229)

I hit the target frame, but when I convert the PID to decimal and enter the ID on frame 5275 in PokéGen, the SID doesn't match up. I hit frame 5275 just now, am I clear for my spread? Or do I need to start over?
BTW, I asked what was your 4th gen FC because the one on your profile didn't work. I think the one you're giving me doesn't, either. Can you double check it's the correct one?
I always do =) Please surprise me with any nickname you choose. Should I head online on 4th gen?
All right, and EonTimer has a first timer option, is that to give an indication when to start the game from the DS menu/soft-reset your GBASP?
