i can confirm you can get a group A on !!

i only got ! or !! all night (no !!!), and was very disappointed. while checking the stats of my pokemon, i realized that one was a different level. checked its moves and it has surf!

what's also weird is the lonely flail one i got and the lonely surfing one appear to have the same IVs. will check later once someone can give me an IV battle

and i'll try to confirm the steps resetting on new pokemon with a different route later.
i'm going to try on something where group A/B have a lot less steps required ;_____;

so i got to over 10k steps today but didn't get a single group A.

when i returned from stroll, it said i had only done 9599 for that stroll. (i had about 500 from the beach this morning before i got the yellow forest).
not conclusive, i know. plus you said you had managed to do it.


but i figured i would get 400 more and try again. and seeing as i was using my eevee, i figured i could use an electric/grass/ground type to up the percentage change, so i changed to my pichu.

after a little over 4k more steps, i didn't get any group B pokemon (still in the same day, mind).

maybe changing the pokemon resets the step counter for which group you can see?
when you went on your stroll again, did you use the same pokemon?

As long as it can't be on normal ! patches, I'm happy. ;p

Not that I know of. RNGing is not about AR after all, so basically, no, AR user don't bother with such things.

As people rarely go for very high frames, the chance to mess up is way too high.
This is why PokeRNG don't cover these I guess.
You still could give it a try, who knows maybe it'll find the PIDs.

Wichus prog don't go by frames it goes by Delays. Plug in 5000 as End and you surely have covered everything.

i was thinking that too, and also have no idea how to test it either.


i'm just guessing, but i would imagine the IVs are generated when it transfers to the game itself as this removes the possibility of hacking the pokewalker itself, and i'm imagining the algorithm to determine IVs being somewhat complicated for the pokewalker.
again, just my guess.
