  • The essays are done! One of them is alright, the other one is crap though.
still working on the shit one - 'Internet resources for the study of Greece and Rome: a critical assessment'. Very slowly. I did 560 words on Friday and not touched it since - will do them both tomorrow!
I have two questions to choose from (well actually I have ten but I want to do one of those on the Trojan Women)
Discuss the character of Talthybius in Euripides’ Trojan Women. What role does he play in the drama?
What, if anything, can we deduce from the Trojan Women concerning Euripides’ attitude towards war in general and the Peloponnesian war in particular?

War looks more interesting, Talthybius looks easier. 2000 words. thoughts?
If you want to learn about Egypt I suggest uhh 'the oxford history of ancient egypt' by Dr Ian Shaw. comprehensive without being too dense.

Ironically I found out I'm not taking Egypt this semester, which pleases me times a million because I'd skipped about 80% of the lectures and can't stand the teacher! Next semester I have it though ;-; it would be fascinating if we had a decent teacher - mine is shit though. still, can't complain.. ahh so many essays to be in. What's your favourite aspect of classical culture?
About the same! I'm focusing on ancient literature; my big loves are the epic poems (especially the Odyssey) and the work of Euripides. I'm also taking Latin and Egyptian History; I don't really get on with Egypt though :(
It seems to be. It's strange: with all of this social networking going on, it's rather easy to be connected to a bajillion people at the same time, like the Borg.
I will answer this tomorrow. Try to keep everyone calm while they wait.

    Thank You.
