Well that just means you didn't hit your delay, catch a Pokemon and input its IVs into RNG Reporter to see what delay you did hit to see how far off you were.

Okay, so first of all look for a spread(I recommend PokeRNGDP for this, it can search for spreads quickly and easily), get a synchronizer for the spread you are trying to get, and go to the area with the pokemon. Next, input the seed of your spread into RNG Reporter under Method J. Generate the spreads and look for a spread that has the encounter slot of your pokemon, (you can look up which encounter slot your Pokemon has by checking the Platinum Encounter tables). Finally, get a timer out to help you hit your delay(I recommend Pikatimer). Use coin flips to verify if you hit your delay, and if you got it, use journal flips to advance the frame and use Sweet scent to find your pokemon(Sweet Scent advances the RNG by 1) and if you did it correctly, you should get your Pokemon.
