So you want more sweet reason to try banded ferrothorn? I have another stealth rocker on my teams when I use him that aren't so obvious. So when i start a battle and see another strong lead (deoxys-d being the most common) I lead with my ferrothorn. It never fails they taunt me round one, while I Gyro ball them. For alot of fast leads its a ohko, but for deoxys its a 2hko. But in effect he only gets one layer down before I kill him. Its the best counter for him I've ever had. Also its insane how often you get rid of ferro's biggest counter with gyro ball. It even ohko's alot of fire after stealth rock damage.
