  • Sounds good. I would have some lighthearted games or spam in addition to the specific interests to keep people interested even if they have nothing to say about the games.
    I would say be yourself.
What type of group is it?
There are groups for spamming, joking around and having a good time.
Then there are groups devoted to aspects of the game, like tiers or pokemon.
The former last longer, but require lots of effort from the owner, making friends with people and giving them something interesting to talk about or do.
You have to keep getting new members, because a lot of people are not active on smogon for more than 6 months or so.
The kind centered around pokemon or tiers fade out over time, but could keep going if you kleep getting new people and if you have some kind of tournaments or thingsto keep people coming back.
You should not be listening to what Basileus said on your RMT, because he hasn't the slightest idea what he is talking about and is also a plain idiot judgeing by his language.
On another note I have to admit that your team isn't good, but whose first team is good (my first team was worse) and it is not as bad as Basileus said. What I would advise you to do, is look through some of the RMTs by experienced players and maybe do some battles with them. This way your skill will increase faster and automatically and you will be able to build better teams pretty soon. Good luck.
