It's the northern-most part of Spain. I wanted to go for Winter break, but couldn't because of financial issues. I'd love to see it snow. The good thing I can tell you about Spain is barely any palm trees. I've been living in Miami for a long time, I'm so sick of palm trees x_x

I found this website, http://www.cubagrouptour.com/information/cuba/events/index.html, with lists of many types of festivals/carnivals. The only one I've been to was Parrandas de Remedios, but that was back in 2006 (I haven't gone back to Cuba since due to personal problems.)
I'd really love to get a hold of my Spanish roots though, I'm planning on visiting Asturias this Summer

Cuba is great....sometimes. Government's a piece of crap, obviously, but the culture is great. and I mean, the people. the carnivals, the people actually helping out with each other in a communist country, the food, amazing.
