Sounds like fun. I think having Evio would be ok, otherwise it would be extremely offensive and probably only last a few minutes like DPP LC. (those games literally last 2 mins each)

I was thinking of something more... bulky. It has WoW and Roar (and Dragon Tail), and is threatening. Even without some investment, a Flamethrower / Air Slash will hurt. Charizard it's one of 3 viable Pokemon capable of Burn phazing (Pignite is meh, and Camerupt is slow as fuck), and of all the others, Charizard is the only thing that has reliable recovery. It is also bulkier than Camerupt. Something of this line:

Well, Spikes and some heavy-hitters such as Zard and Rampardos can keep attcking it and its counters. Spikes is better because Encore is almost a Roar most of times.

Trait: No Guard / Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Encore
- DynamicPunch
- Payback / Foresight (Yes, I use Foresight once. I regret but it's fun)

The good thing about Machoke is that everybody knows what he does, and just his presence creates an "I must switch to something to take out DynamicPunch / Ghost" Syndrome. This moment is perfect one to use Substitute. After Substitute, if the opponent switched to an offensive Psychic- / Ghost-type / Set-up sweepers like Altaria, you have a choice of using Payback to hit for great damage, of if it's something obvious like a Haunter (It'll either attack or set up Sub, or an Altaria / Sub user) just use Encore. The greatest thing is when opponent switches to a Musharna. Since it's probably unlikely that he knows Machoke's set (Unless he's a medium or saw this set), just use a Payback and wait. If it uses CM, use Encore. If it uses Psychic, then you can either Encore it (Risky, but it's a 2HKO unboosted). Then switch to Skuntank. Since Machoke behind a Sub and Payback does pitful damage against the tapir, Musharna will 95% of the times use CM unless it isn't a CM variant. I like to think it as a core with Skintank and something that can use Wish, probably Hypno or Gardevoir because they have good synergy and nice Special Defense.
