My laptop didn't like the RNG software...gah!! What would you want to trade your Mew for? I don't have anything spectacular to trade - any breedable pokes including all starters (and a bold giratina), although RNG aside I can breed for specific natures through a bit of trial and error.

Around 8 years ago, my best friend played in chess tournaments (and won), but I've never been interested in static games like that myself.

Probopass walled out half of a person's team today, he has literally won matches by laughing at critical pokemon or baiting ground/fighting/water moves.

I especially love using him against Moltres.

I can definitely see the value of the team's strategy. Hit and run Dugtrio and Slaking with bulky backup and entry hazards seems like a cool concept to me.

The main problem I see is Omastar, who while able to take impressive physical hits and dish out threatening special attacks, is still very susceptible to various leads. I can't see him being permitted to set up more than Stealth Rock without being scared away or KOed.

Taunt, Sleep, Encore, grass moves, special attacks, etc. are all lethal. If you want to rely upon entry hazards, I would assume there are more reliable options.

Extremely close. I can't be confident I've won a battle against you until it's over. Slaking and Dugtrio had me worried. I am glad Probopass finally met his perfect counter.

Omastar with max def is amazing. That was a 360 power attack from a max atk Blaziken.

I'm sorry for the long wait, I just finished training Tangrowth and I built the team around him. I was lucky that he was such a solid counter to your team. Stun Spore is likely there to stay.

I assumed Rotom was Speced based on the damage he dealt to Tangrowth, hence the bumbling getting Blaziken KOed. Tangrowth has incredible physical def, but his sp.def is below average, I underestimated just how low.

Great battle, if not for Tangrowth, Slaking and Dugtrio would have totally destroyed me.

That was just all completely random Pokemon I was dying to try out, and that was a pretty cool battle! GG! :)

I'm slogging through the analysis pages at the moment. I was thinking of going for the UU tier, so I'm looking at the pokemon in that tier to see what natures and abilities I need to breed for - I must download shoddy though and get it oooon :D

I dunno if you can answer this question - on the D/P Ludicolo page it has Ludicolo as UU but the moveset analysis bits are all talking about OU battles...can you use Ludicolo in UU teams?

I'd love to battle with you too, but I seriously need to get a team together, I mean obviously I've battled in game, but have only ever traded over wifi and stuff, I'm totally hopeless on movesets and all that stuff - I was going to sign up for battling 101 when I've been here the required amount of days.

Black House is probably, along with IT and Drawing Of The Three, my favourite SK book ever. Did you read The Talisman first? King and Straub have recently said that next year they'll be writing a third and final book in the Talisman/Black House series.
Straub's books are also pretty cool, Ghost Story is a great one to start with.

Yes, I've been playing pokemon for exactly 10 years this year. I've mainly been into collecting, which has taken me years because I don't go for hacks, but now I've only got Celebi and Arceus to go (haven't quite got Mew, but I've nearly completed Pokemon Ranch so it shouldn't be long) I thought I ought to get into battling more seriously, to carry on enjoying the gameplay.

I'm a complete newb where battling is concerned. I'm trying to breed a team at the moment to EV train, but before I really get started I wanted to properly understand the mechanics of it all...hence I came here! :D

This Mudkip gives one more 31 IV stat than "LilBear", already has counter, and since I'll Rare Candy it to higher levels, I can get you Endeavor and Hammer Arm on your Kanga as egg moves, with the requested Counter.

I honestly do not have a single competitively built OU. I've been considering building an OU team however, with how few UU battles I can find. I don't play in OU because it sounds dreadfully boring to me, if I do build an OU team it will not include the likes of Salamence, Scizor, or Latias. I'd love to use BLs and low OU however.

I'm proud of Magmortar anyway. I still only have one competitive bulky water (Milotic, Quagsire wasn't cutting it as is), hence why I use it so frequently, and why this team lacked a bulky water, I think I'll make that my next project.

Counter Ampharos is amazing, by the way.
