You liked Zarel's post saying to not give every ladder an unrated option. That implies that you don't think Doubles needs an Unrated ladder to funnel noncompetitive players into.

i'm just worried that it may reduce the player pool in the rated ladder. However, with the Rated / Unrated button option, this may not be too big of an issue as compared to an default-unrated ladder

Is 1500 the regular stats? Because if so, then the answer is no, it wasn't representative of the Doubles metagame
