  • Oh, sure, but I always do my "wanted seconds" at 00, and when I put that in, it gave me an error message. Should I just switch my wanted seconds in the RNG Reporter, and in your timer to, say... 1, or 2, or 10 or something? I don't really think it would matter to me. I just didn't understand because of the whole error message thing...
Just because I'm new to this...
    Using your neat timer...
    1) my "normal" delay is 491 SPOT ON (like literally 1/2 the time), so I would put 491 in the first box?
    2) Say, if I'd want a delay of 867, I'd put that in the 2nd box?
    3) The "calibrated second" box is my "normal seconds" right? It always takes me exactly 15 seconds to start my HG game with my AR.
    4) What is the "wanted seconds" box? I always start my game at 0 seconds, so would that go there?
    5) Once created, the first timer is just the time you have to get set up to SR right? Then the MOMENT the first time hits 0, you SR and get to the blue screen and wait there till the MOMENT the Second timer goes off?

Sorry if these are noob questions. I've always just mashed the A button, but recently I started tapping to this song I like and my delay has REEEEALLY stabilized, so I'm sure using your timer will help even more. :)
0.0 I've never actually used emloop! But I really need to learn how to use a timer! I would definitely be interested in trying it out!
I'd love to, but honestly, it would really depend on how much work it would entail. I'm kinda busy with this huuuuuuuuge Heart Gold RNG project. What kind of testing do you need done? (Oh, and trust me, my wants list is uuuuuuber small, so I wouldn't need any pokes! xD)
I would just like to say thank you!

Using your timer, I hit my delay of 936 on my first try. =D

Unfortunately, I have to wait 3 hours until the encounter slot changes so that I can get the Dusclops I want, but the hard part is over!

As a thank you for the awesome program, you can have a free copy of the Dusknoir once I get it tutored Pain Split. Here are the specifics if you are interested:

    Impish-Female
    31/31/31/x/31/31
Catch Date: 1/4/2010 (for an even delay, though I guess we're getting closer to 2010 anyway)
    Catch Location: Sendoff Spring

and I'm going to catch it in a Luxury Ball. =D
Thanks for the input. I'll tell you when I get the Dusclops I'm looking for. =D

I was just curious because I've already used Emloop before for Emerald abuses, though the usage is drastically different. Looking at the timer, that is one thing I could recommend, an Emerald option. I was wondering if there was a way to get a little alternate timer for my Emerald resets (not much is needed, just a place to input the frame and convert it to seconds) as I feel the self-correcting part of your timer would be really helpful rather than having to do it myself on Emloop.
Hey Pikachu. I'm about to try my first RNG attempt with a high delay, and I was wondering if you'd suggest using your new program or Emloop for my first try. If you think I should use yours, I have a question. Is the 'calibrated delay' and 'calibrated second' the delay and second I usually get when not trying for a high delay, or do I do a new type of calibration?
Hey, I dont know if this is a completely good idea, or if its even possible, but I think one woould way to get your JaveRNG would be to have it show you a step-by-step guide. You know, when you select the method, have the program say "ok, first you do this" when you do it, have it "then you do that" and so on, kinda like a first-time tutorial for people who have trobule with rng
Worked perfectly. =D Thanks! I've found I've been using it a lot, as it's been really convenient to find spreads on my mac so I can get started quicker.
hey pikachu, hows it going? i would like to congrats you on your java program. I hope that my GBA AR comes in so maybe I could help out for FR/LG sometime.
I think you misunderstood the Hidden Power question. It works fine, I was just asking (because I hate error messages XD) if the value in for the Power is less than 50, if it could assume you hit 'Any.' Because on my version, nothing is clicked on by default. Just sometimes, when I don't need a Hidden Power, I forget to alter settings for it so I got the error message and it took me a second to figure out what was wrong.
Hi Pikachu, I didn't want to flood the thread because I have so many things to ask and say. =D

I edited my last post in the RNG thread with some questions, but the second one is kind of important:
How do you know that it's still working and not crashing? Do you think you could add something like the dots that PokéRNG has to let me know it's still working?

I just waited thinking it crashed, but then it told me the search was done as I was typing this. XD And I appreciate the output of Method J spreads! That's something PokéRNG can't do!
hey pikachu, mind helping me out RNG abusing the legendary dragon Dialga/Palkia? This is on Diamond/Pearl. I haven't attempted to do them on my platinum yet...

How can I journal flip if I can't get close to it? Matt said that all I need to do is save my game at the closest point I get before I am initiated to battle Dialga/Palkia. then hit my seed, do the journal flips then just walk towards it(which counts as pressing "A"). Would all this be true?
if they're random, then lets go at it again, you have more pokemon? I'll show you one of my true teams.
to let you know, this isn't an actual team I built, XD. It's just random pokemon I grabbed from my box. I should've grabbed an actual team against you
that's fine with me, I'm in a battle so this all should work out in no time...

    I'm almost done with it...
i had my school stuff done yesterday, XD. I was hoping that I could battle you this evening if you had your team completed and you wasn't busy, XD.
