The bet regarded whether or not there would be entirely new moves in ORAS, and it seems there are. Patches are still quite open (although I wouldn't expect there to be any, so I'll try to get people betting their profile pics on it).

Hmm... depends on the content of the patch. A graphical patch might be feasible, but one to make ORAS Megas (and Primal Formes) completely compatible (and trade-able) with XY I see as quite out of the picture. GameFreak wouldn't want to ruin that sales argument of ORAS so trivially.

Yeah I feel strongly to the contrary, I don't think GameFreak would make two games of the same generation incompatible.

Platinum's new Shaymin, Rotom and Giratina formes were incompatible with D/P, and BW2's new Kyurem and Genie formes were incompatible with BW1. I'd say precedence is on my side.

Okay, what will the wager be?

I'd say patching is way more acceptable and accessible now even if not everyone has Wi-Fi, especially since they relied on people downloading a patch to fix the Lumiose Glitch (I think that was the only way to fix it). There are also so way too many new things and they are still exclusive if the items can only be obtained in ORAS

anyway arguing is moot since we want the other to not agree and then end up wrong

Hi, remember this? ORAS is out worldwide, there is no patch in sight, and GameFreak have said they don't plan on making one either.

So, time for us to find something for you to "wear" for a week. I was thinking about something related to the Cabbage Patch Kids...
