The first and most important thing to know about elm calls is that the message displayed (k, e, or p) shows what frame you are leaving. What I suggest is find a frame above, say, 20. Verify the seed via elm calls, and you should be at frame 13. OH RIGHT! Okay, the Breeding (HGSS) is for IV's, but the PID's are created using the same option as DPPt. Go ahead and try that. Verify your seed using Elm calls; this won't advance your eggs so there's no worries about that. After verifying, start collecting eggs and hatching them until you're one egg in front of your target egg. Save in front of the old man, and we'll start the IV breeding after that.

BTW what I meant by that last post is that I didn't really go for a shiny PID. I just wanted to hit ANY seed that would give me an early Timid PID and I happened to run across one. I gotta mess around with RNGReporter and see if there's a way to search for early "not-necessarily-shiny" egg PID's in a more controlled method.
Breeding for non shiny eggs is kind of annoying since rng reporter does not provide a way of searching, for my knowledge. What I did for my recent trapinch success was attempt to hit a shiny, then hope I hit ANY seed that had an early timid nature. After two attempts I hit a seed that listed bold, modest, bold, timid. So I received the first three eggs and hatched them and they ended up being bold, modest, and bold. So I saved in front of the old man when the next egg was ready and did iv breeding techniques from there, just as you would do in dppt after advancing the irng to your desired pid.
