easier on irc but garbage interface, poor data transfer ability, not very nice battery life, awful stylus options, and price are some that I might go into better depth on.

No idea, I've not done my research I just wanted to steer you away from the worst option there. I've been thinking about a surface but that's half laptop which is what I need. I would definitely recommend something that has a keyboard option; typing with a screen to browse isnt fun.
But the real ipad problem is NO STYLUS is good because of how it interprets touch. You can't get a precise option. I know you said you wanted to take notes and I do as well, it's a bit frustrating sometimes on an ipad.

yeah i was looking for a tablet with a stylus but the only one that comes with a stylus is the galaxy note tab i think, and I kinda don't want that. I /think/ the nexus 9 supports stylus but I can't really find anything about it on google lol. im digging that tablet
