Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I prefer to ponder life's heavy questions to then choose what option sounds the most realistic. Frankly it I'd quite fun to get the cranial muscles moving and to get deep into thought.
As an agnostic, I feel like you don't fully understand my standpoint on religion. Basically, I have no conclusion on there being or not being an all powerful being. While the idea of having a happily ever after in heaven sounds so great and I'd love to have something like that but, there isn't any concrete proof to the correctness of Christianity or any other religions so frankly nobody can ever say what is right and what is wrong. I hope that there's more to life than just death and life, but nobody can really say without actually experiencing death and I'm not ready for death in my mind at leas:P
This is what people don't understand about Christianity,Islam or Judaism. They're faith based. Can someone like an atheist or agnostic be able to prove them? No. The proof is there but they refuse to believe it so they disregard it. Honestly, it's all a matter of faith. You can't really prove it scientifically but you can't disprove it either. I'm not trying to convert you or anything but have you ever tried reading the Bible? Yes it may sound unrealistic or not scientific but it's not supposed to. It's supposed to tell the story of God(who is beyond science and logic). Technically, He can do whatever He wants because He's a God not bound by human understanding.
It's what I believe :I
I was raised this way and I see no reason to question it because it's just the way I believe.
Meanwhile I can throw reasons why there is a God but I'd rather not get into a heated debate
I'm not getting heated. I'm just saying that I don't have the luxury of having no reason to question Christianity. Frankly, I think that unless you have the burdens, you can't understand. Not that I'm sure that I'll end up revealing them since it's quite personal, but just trying to say that my point is merely that personal things have made me question the validity of many things in life; not just religious ideals either.
I never said you were but I like to take precautions because tbh religious debates never do anything good for either side because neither will convert to the other, ever. On top of that, you can lose friends over it.
Anyway, I understand your point and perspective. Completely valid reasoning. Although I really hope you revisit once you have a smaller load because I love talking to other Christians because I can actually share my burdens/problems and they'd listen to me more. (No offense)
