Comics that are considered non-canon now. Pretty much anything outside of the films and The Clone Wars before April 2014 is non-canon, though some elements have been readded.

I didn't realise those comics were non-canon...that still means Palpatine could possibly return if they did a similar plot with his clones or they could have some time travel...

I would prefer if Palpatine remained dead, honestly. It cheapens the end of Return of the Jedi and it would mean Anakin's sacrifice was in vain.
