my point was to show a wide variety of songs, cause they're kind of cool. My parents actually have all their albums BEFORE all star, kind of scary

also idk is it just me or are the non-remembered songs by bands just not that memorable? like it's not "wow everyone loves this song by them but THIS is the real undiscovered gem" like it seems like a lot of their songs are just album filler even though they are good. know what I mean?

Usually either all the songs are good or one song has a style most people are looking for and the others don't. Theres no undiscovered gems because they would either be popular or the "true fans" would not play them because they sound different to what they want. But u can find undiscovered all-good albums....

but taste is subjective is what I mean. so it could be very possible that me or you (speaking as individual people) could find a song by them that nobody else really knows or talks about and say "this is really their best one" but that just doesn't happen. like you said it doesn't always the same style that their famous songs have.

You'd probably have to browse a band u hate to get that

I'm saying in theory we all have different likes but how come we generally tend to agree on what is good and what is bad with a few outliers???

I think it jusr comes down to confirmation bias,,, when you go into a band u think u know what you will find. Except in rare cases I guess
