did anyone ever find out what "I have the high ground" meant?


also this would have been much better as a duet with Anakin in on it too

It just seemed out of place to me. Like all of their dialogue throughout the sequence is character-driven and about Anakin and Obi-Wan's allegiances but then he just throws out this line about positioning. Even though it does lead to a character moment with Anakin overestimating his own power it just is kind of jarring and out of place.

It IS actually tactics, like in a real sword fight that would be a big game changer, but they've NEVER talked about it in star wars before, also why couldn't annakin just jump way past him lol

Yeah, I understand that. Because if Anakin jumped in front of Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan could put him on the defensive which is a no-no considering lava behind him. If he jumps over Obi-Wan that leaves him open to an upward swing. The only possible move is to jump way over Obi-Wan and then land behind him but he couldn't do it for some reason

even though Qui-Gon could jump all the way up to a ship and Anakin is way stronger than Qui-Gon at this point. Must be that his rage had blinded him huh
