tbh I was having father's day lunch with my family today and like there was some sauce that smelled really bad and I was saying it smelled really bad and my brother was like "it could be these too" pointing at some leaves and stuff and my mom was like "these are very good herbs, you should eat them they are good for you" and I was like "the only herb I like is marijuana" and throughout the whole lunch I couldn't stop saying "smokin' the herb" and like fake smoking with my fingers. She thought it was kinda funny though, my parents have a pretty good sense of humor even though they are Asian parents, probably because when they came here they were only 16 so they pretty much spent their adult lives in America, even though they are still pretty traditional. They have a good sense of balance between open-mindedness and tradition I think.
