But I think its lack of projectiles was a major downside. If it had machine guns built into it it would be able to mow down the Incredibles easily. All it had was that little laser gun thing and the rest relied on the claws which meant it had to be close range.

I don't think it was designed to be a killing machine, only cause a lot of destruction.

I guess in that case it makes sense because it didn't really need automatic weapons if it was fighting things one on one. I wonder though, why would Syndrome need to have the robot who killed the supers be the same robot that everyone sees him beat? Because nobody knew about him systematically killing off the supers, so they wouldn't know what the robot was anyway. So he coulda used something that was completely remote-controlled and staged the whole thing.

It wasn't just that, he wanted to show he was stronger than Mr. Incredible, and that he could beat an actual threat Mr. Incredible couldn't. I guess it was a matter of pride? A remote control robot in the beginning wouldn't have satisfied him, plus all the supers wouldn't be gone.

IDK why gamma jack or dynaguy ever got beat by the robots tho, like christ they were op

and I was saying he could have made a super powerful robot that killed all the supers and then made a regular easy to beat robot to terrorize the city since nobody knew about the previous robot anyway. But I guess pride is a good point, he did wanna prove he could do something Mr. Incredible couldn't. Making it a sentient AI was kind of a dumb move, lol.

I never saw any of the bonus videos with the other heroes though so I do not know how strong they were.

they all had threat ratings on the tvs in syndrome's base, and gamma jack was the second strongest, and he could like fire radiation out of his hands?? like that just kills people.

I heard a cool theory that Edna actually designed Syndrome's super suit. Logic being that Edna is very clearly a public figure and Syndrome was hunting down the supers, so why wouldn't he try to take her out too, considering her suits have "powers" of their own and help the supers. OR, as part of wanting to be a super himself, went to go get a suit designed by Edna since she made all of the suits for every other super. And so knowing that he was up to no good purposely put a cape on his costume (or he wanted one and she didn't reject it) so that he would one day get into an accident due to it.

I doubt it, as again he wouldn't want somebody messing with his stuff. The boots and gloves were all him, so why not go the whole way? It's almost exactly like his early outfit

Powers he has to give himself, because they come from his own inventions. But maybe he wanted her to create his suit so he could be authentic like the other heroes. I think the biggest hole in this theory is that neither of them ever mention the other. If Edna knew about Syndrome she would definitely have said something when Mr. Incredible showed up. And Syndrome would definitely have like set up a trap at her place or something. So yeah.

Thematically, the point of the scene was that Syndrome was his own undoing, and that theory *somewhat* hurts that too, but not to a huge extent since it would still be mostly his actions.

So where did syndrome get his funding is my question. There is no way he could work a normal job and have the time / money to design every version of the omnidroid (even though a lot would be just copy / paste) and create that entire facility dedicated to like killing supers. If there was a theory to be made here it would be that he's the head of a criminal syndicate with some illegal trafficking and stuff going on there.

Also how is Mr Incredible more powerful than Gamma Jack shooting radiation from your hands is much more useful than strength

Unun did you even watch the movie, he clearly says: "Turns out there are lots of people, whole countries, that want respect, and will pay through the nose to get it. How do you think I got rich? I invented weapons, and now I have a weapon that only I can defeat,"

Anyway, Mr. Incredible was not strong enough to stop the Omnidroid anyway, he had to let it destroy itself

dynaguy had rockets on his hands but iirc he could vaporize stuff within a small radius

And also that's pretty cool

Maybe he just put Mr. Incredible up there because he idolized him, or maybe Mr. Incredible has super resilience as well which could make him harder to take down

mr incredible is practically invulnerable as well as being strong; a train crash didn't even hurt him.
