    I think it's because death is such a good material for jokes and it's something that a lot of people are aware of. Except when you make a joke about a *person* who died, lots of people are going to get offended, tell you it's not cool, etc. so the number of jokes and memes is really limited since it sticks with only the irreverent people who don't care if people think they are assholes.

    But with Harambe the population at large isn't really that upset about it because he's a gorilla, so people are way more comfortable making jokes about it without feeling as guilty or looking like an asshole.

    it's higher speed gives it a niche over it's evolution but it's got a niche in the meta that isn't ever fucking worth using.

    hahaha dangit i understand that, i used to be voiced on a showdown room and everytime i had PMs from newbies asking for help and were always like "please help me with this OU team but keep electivire and don't put legendaries" "i use (non mega) sceptile in OU because i like it, i'm not going to replace by latios (on a team that realy really needs hazard removal)" and newbs don't know that doubles OU is not OU, they challenge players on DOU or join tournaments of that tier with their singles OU team and some of them call cheater to the other players for using ubers like deoxys-a or hoopa unbound
