what are your thoughts on Joss Whedon coming in to take over though? like lol he did Avengers and now he's doing Justice League, he's getting back at Marvel for fucking him over
Hulavuta

DC is an interesting fit for him because they want to give main creative control to the directors, as opposed to at Marvel where Kevin Fiege is basically running the show and is the primary creative voice. That was his main complaint when he was at Marvel.

hmmm. Well he was apparently going to be involved regardless? I like firefly but w/e he's a coolguy but I really don't know his "style" like I know how zack likes to play

also yeah Joss was going to be involved in the DCEU with Batgirl, but now he's gonna finish Justice League. Honestly he seems like the best pick as far as who is currently involved with WB. WB tends to have really strong Director loyalty which I admire.

Like they have first look deals with Ben Affleck and even Margot Robbie so if you work with them they help you out a lot professionally. Seems nice.

"Buffy, for all her killing vamps and breaking stuff, is rather a weak character. Let’s consider that she, as a Slayer, descends from a line that was literally created by men – a formation that stems directly from the male anxiety over an inability to create life the way that women do. And inherently problematic is the idea of the Watcher, a predominantly male presence that is the male gaze made manifest – a source of constant looking that is an explicit form of control."

checkmate whedon
