In '82, Scott released this, Blade Runner, his most accomplished movie. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Tears in the rain", a scene so iconic, most people probably don't listen to the dialogue. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of life, and the importance of C-Beams, it's also a personal statement about the experience of living in fear.
