I honestly feel like all "cool" lines look awful in written form, it's only when they are delivered well that we think they are awesome. I'm just thinking like a lot of Heath Ledger or Joaquin Phoenix lines would be pretty bad on the page. Like "You get what you fucking deserve" ? I feel like I'd have a horrible reaction to that in written form but it went over well in the actual film.

Yeah but people try to put emphasis on the different parts of the words when theywrite them. It just turns out bad. The joker wouldn't walk up to bane and go "grr...you know...you aren't fun! You're cheating!"
