I have finished breeding the Shieldon also. Not 100 percent sure that it will be shiny though since the roamers were off but elms calls, nature and gender was correct. It should be shiny though in your game

It couldve been a misshap using Pokesav (Obviousl Pokesav has been used) Like giving it an Item, Checking the EV's, Moves.

Sorry to bother you but when rnging for shiny in HG, frame 2 means reject first egg right and save when second appears right
Though I'm wondering why you are so reluctant to breed in HGSS when it has more commodities due to the ability to not only check the seed in front of the old man without fear of the NPCs moving because it's paused, but also being able to actually check your frame on the spot.
