Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if that did end up appealing to a lot of girls. It seems like girls are increasingly appreciating nerdy guys these days...I wore a Wobbuffet shirt to university once and I got very positive comments on it, for example. If I ever met a cute redhead who was nerdy enough to fall for a line like that, I might finally experience this "love" thing people are so excited about.
